"This property is very well maintained and rooms are clean, and very well-appointed with the needed comforts. We truly applaud the attention-to-detail and effort that the husband-and-wife owners have put into this bed-and-breakfast property. We arrived as it started to get colder and truly appreciated the warm heating in the rooms. Fantastic warm showers. An amazing bonus amenity was the electric toilets! We are also thankful to the lady boss for highlighting the first Huangshan Peak snow-fall on our last day of stay! Upon her encouragement we decided an impromptu climb up Huangshan a second time. We were glad we did! The snow scenery at Huangshan peak was AMAZING. THANK YOU!"

"Super location and very nice staff. We ordered an airport pickup to the hotel with the trip app and our driver contacted the hotel to let them know when we arrived so that a staff member could pick us up by the road. Super cozy streets around the hotel. My room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good, noodles and dumplings. On our second day we asked the staff to recommend a driver to take us to different hot spots and we got a very nice driver at an affordable price. Will definitely stay here again."

It is very convenient to walk around the old street. It is also very quiet. I brought my children here this time and they were able to rest well at night. Because there are only me and my child, I booked the smallest room. The waterproofing of the bathroom is not good. The toilet and shower are together. It is not convenient to take a shower. The toilet bowl gets wet when taking a shower. Also, the latest check-out time for booking on Ctrip is 2 o'clock. "This hotel is the epitome of excellence in terms of services. As a retiree, Huangshan has been on my bucket list for decades. Since most of my friends of my age had either visited Huangshan or refused to climb a mountain, I decided to embark on this solo adventure. I chose Bai Yun Hotel based on its location and highly regarded reviews. My experience was even more impressive and breathtaking than I had anticipated. From the moment I inquired with the tourism bureau at Huangshan to the daily routines, every aspect of my stay was exceptional. A special mention goes to the guest manager, Xiao Ming (小敏). Knowing that I was alone, she checked on me regularly via WeChat, ensuring my safety and well-being. She even went above and beyond by allowing me to enjoy my brunch after my morning tour, even though it was beyond their breakfast hours! Xiao Ming’s team truly deserves a 10-star review! They did everything possible to make my stay memorable. The room maid even found my mini opera binoculars under my bed after I checked out and promptly called me so I could retrieve this precious item before I left the mountain. That’s the 11th golden star I would like to give! Huangshan is not just for the young and adventurous; it’s for all age groups, thanks to the exceptional team at Bai Yun Hotel."

"We were not too sure what to expect from our first China trip so it was with much relief to receive such warm welcome and care when we reach our accomodation in Tunxi. Not only is our hotel a beautifully well-kept centuries-old heritage building, the service rendered by the staff was the highlight of our trip. They made special arrangements for us to have our breakfast (and it was a awesome breakfast too!) earlier as we were trying to reach Huangshan as early as possible. On our way back, we decided to stay one more night here as my friend was unwell. It felt like we were coming home, when we reached the hotel the second time. The staff even helped us to find a drugstore for us to buy some medicine to treat the stomach upset. My friend was really grateful for help rendered. The perfect combination- good place, fantastic staff It was a memorable stay"

"The hotel's facilities clearly indicate it's an established property with an old-world charm, and the lobby is quite grand. Parking was convenient, and the front desk staff were very friendly. We were even offered complimentary show tickets and dinner vouchers, though unfortunately, we didn't have time to use them. For a hotel of this size and caliber, one would naturally expect comprehensive, attentive, and personalized service. However, several aspects left us feeling quite dissatisfied. Firstly, while laundry service was available, it came with an exorbitant extra charge. 30 RMB for a single T-shirt truly shocked me! I've stayed in countless hotels of varying standards, and typically, the higher the star rating, the more inclusive the services – especially considering the non-budget price. To charge for laundry here felt utterly bizarre! Secondly, the elevators could be accessed by anyone without needing a room key, which felt very insecure and simply doesn't justify the price. Thirdly, for the buffet dinner, children were charged the same as adults. I was speechless – does a 7-year-old really eat as much as an adult? On a positive note, breakfast was quite good, with a decent variety of options, and plates were cleared promptly. The service was excellent and truly commendable."

"It's rare for B&Bs to have underground parking, but this one does, complete with an elevator directly to the ground floor lobby for check-in – a real hotel-like convenience. This also means your car stays cool, even on scorching summer days. The B&B itself is spotless, and all common areas are comfortably air-conditioned. The staff, from the front desk and the proprietress to the restaurant servers, were incredibly warm and helpful. They even thoughtfully brought out mosquito repellent when they saw us sitting outside – a very nice touch. The laundry room is accessible until 9 PM, and they even offer a fantastic service where staff will wash, dry, fold, and deliver your clothes back to your room. Truly exceptional service! They provide an electric shuttle service to Xixinan; you just need to call 5 minutes before you want to be picked up. The scenic area isn't large but wonderfully uncommercialized, filled with charming local shops. The fish lantern display at night was vibrant and festive, just like celebrating Chinese New Year! The locals were so warm and down-to-earth, even spontaneously lighting off fireworks. Right outside the B&B, there's a small stream where you can fish. In the evenings, they even have a live singer – apparently, it's the only B&B in the area with live music! The ambiance was absolutely fantastic. Breakfast is served in a 'Jiugongge' (nine-grid platter) style, which was more than enough. The baozi (steamed buns) and wontons were freshly made, and you could always ask for more staple foods if you needed. To top it all off, they even gave us a thoughtful souvenir when we checked out. So considerate!"

"This is my second time coming to Huangshan. I didn’t climb Huangshan last time, so I gave it a challenge this time. I would like to highlight the housekeeper brother. He has worked at the top of Huangshan Mountain for several years. He is a Huangshantong. He introduced the route up the mountain and precautions in detail. He was worried that we would go the wrong way. He also added WeChat and gave us a message if we encountered a fork in the road and didn’t recognize it. He was very enthusiastic when making videos! The whole process from check-in to check-out was very comfortable. The hotel has a high-speed rail pick-up service. We came from Hefei and the hotel driver contacted us in advance before we got off the high-speed rail, which was very convenient. The hotel facilities are also very complete, worthy of a four-star hotel, but the service is better than a five-star hotel. It’s not that I don’t have enough time and I really don’t want to leave. All in all, it was a very satisfying trip and I will come again."
