Vviktor QuekWe like to thank and applaude the staffs and chef that took good care of us during our stay at Hakai Konohanakan.
The services and amenities provided were top notch and the staffs were very thoughtful in making sure that we were well taken care of.
Not to mention, the omakase is of really good quality and variety. Every day was a new experience with new dishes! Really well done on the chef and staffs part.
Although the location maybe abit secluded, we like to appluade the staff effort in offering to arrange a taxi for us to take us to a location.
As the bus services here may be a little unreliable, if your itinerary is packed with 3 to 4 places for the day, we recommand to book a chartered services for at least a day so you can go around freely from one end to the other.
We were lucky to have a staff that speaks Mandarin but nevertheless, even if the staff can't speak Mandarin or understands English, they take an effort to explain and understand you through translation apps.
All in all, we have no regrets in booking and staying here. Would highly recommend to stay here if your itinerary revolves around lake Yamanaka as it is only a 10 minute drive away! Not to mention a step outside and you can see mount fuji!

VValerie KaoHotel provides free shuttle pickup at Kawaguchiko Station, just go to the Tourist Information Office and they will call for you. Breakfast and dinner are served well and delicious. Room has beautiful views of Mt. Fuji. After check out, hotel even help us to deliver our luggage to our next hotel ( in Kawaguchiko only). The only downside was the Onsen temperature was not hot and there’s no facial or body lotion provided.

KKara TaiThis might be the best place to stay near Mt Fuji! The service is incredible and the staff is very friendly! We booked a dome and loved the sauna, bath, dome, kitchen… everything! The BBQ dinner and breakfast were outstanding and the detailed cooking instructions were very clear. The bed was very comfortable as well.
Only one complaint - gas grill is located inside the kitchen and the room fills with smoke. Best to open the sliding doors to let the air circulate and also clean the grill before turning it on.
The staff helped us book taxis, which helped a lot, too!

Staff were so kind with lots of inclusions; free parking, free amenities (some rentals like yakata, baby supplies etc), free afternoon snacks/drinks in the lobby.
Great view all round - from our room, hotel lobby/lounge and where dinner/breakfast was served
Had the public laundry, public baths (which we didn’t use as we booked a private bath), massage chairs - they had a blood pressure machine near them.
Food served during breakfast and dinner were delicious, so fresh and great variety.
Highly recommended, would def stay here again when we come back :)

YYI QUANBooked 2 rooms for 4 and was picked up by a friendly driver at kawaguchiko station. The room was sufficient for two but with big luggages could make it a little bit squeezy. Had a public onsen equipped with many amenities to make one feel fresh.
Breakfast buffet was good with a decent variety for food. They also sell dinner buffet which is definitely worth a try.
Location was it is right next to lake kawaguchiko with a nice view of Fuji (if it's visible).
However to travel to other attractions like fujiq and oshino hakkai is a fair distance, but they offer a morning shuttle service to the station and a evening shuttle service back to the hotel which is very much appreciated

FForssAmazing hotel! We were there 3 nights with 1 year old baby. Every day we visited onsen, it was free. You can get your size yukata dress for your time in onsen. Breakfast and dinner buffet are really good, some Chinese and western food you can find if you need. Very delicious chicken liver and octopus. You can see Fuji mount from some rooms and from the restaurant. They have free shuttle bus to Kawaguchiko bus station, we used it few times. The hotels owner is from China and some stuff speak Chinese.

ZZhiWei YeoStayed in the room with private Onsen in April. The room was very big and facilities were great. We drove here with plans to visit Kawaguchiko and Gotemba, the location was good for us considering our mode of transport. The only issue we had was that the room was very hot. The heater was centralised and we could not adjust the temperature and was advised to open the window to cool the room down. Even though we opened the window, the curtains would limit the air from coming in which made the room feel a little like a sauna at times. I still give this place a big thumbs up but will reconsider coming back here because of the heating issue.

Ttravel12🏨 the ryokan turned out to be much more beautiful than i expected from what i've seen on the pictures here
🗺️ the location is great, and even though we didn't get the room with the lake view, the view was still amazing. there's also a konbini and a few cafés right next to the ryokan, so it was very convenient
🕴️the staff was kind, it was easy to communicate in english
🧖♀️ didn't attend the onsen myself, but my friends told me they liked it
⭐️ taking one star off cause the shower-head was a bit broken and the room wasn't clean enough to my taste

GGuest UserThe scenery outside the hotel is very beautiful. There is a Family Mart next to it where you can buy food. The hotel dinner is highly recommended. The boss speaks Chinese and communication is very convenient. Although there is no hotel connection, it is very suitable for self-driving tours. You can park in front of the hotel
