Delighted! Impressed! A spacious house with everything you could need for a country getaway. The views of the lake from the bedroom are stunning.

The hotel offers free electric-assist bicycles right at the entrance, making it super easy to cycle around Lake Kawaguchiko. The private open-air bath on the top floor requires on-site booking, and I highly recommend reserving the 4-5 PM slots to catch the sunset.

Approximately 11 min walk from the station which isn’t too bad. However, it might be quite a walk if you have 2 big luggages. Booked a private room on the 2nd floor and thankfully the staff (male) helped us carry our bags up the stairs. The shower was well equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash and lots of hot water and good pressure. Walls are rather thin so you can hear people walking up and down the stairs or even opening their bags. Hotel view was amazing from the room

We loved the room and it was very big and comfortable and the mattress was excellent. The hotel is very clean and friendly. Service is very good and especially to the front desk executive  Mr Yuta. And most importantly the aircon and the heater which is very important as the temperature was -10c. And free parking very important if you drive.

Location and facilities were good

The hotel is indeed aging but remains charming! It offers typical Japanese rooms and rooms with beds and all of them are tidy and well maintained! The manager of the establishment is adorable and very accommodating. Breakfast is ok! The soup is a treat! Be careful because the restaurant does not offer dinner (at least during our stay). The only negative point is the distance from the “center” but buses pass regularly (except in the evening!).
