Amazing
XXiejingxingxFacilities: It's a detached villa, and you can cook and barbecue inside with all sorts of kitchen utensils! They have more tools than my own home. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Environment: You can see Mount Fuji right from your room! Eating a meal while gazing at Mount Fuji is such a fantastic feeling. Service: There's a scheduled shuttle service in the afternoon, and it's quite convenient if you time it right to go to Platform 10. It would be even better if there was a 7 PM option, as 6 PM can sometimes be a bit too early if you're still out and about! If you want to go to Lake Kawaguchiko in the morning, just let the front desk know, and a car will pick you up right at your room door.

SSeIBaaPros: 1. The Mt. Fuji view was perfect. The cleanliness and condition of the facilities were absolutely fine, even exceeding expectations. It's much better than some older, traditional hotels with Mt. Fuji views, offering excellent value for money at this price point. 2. The hotel service was also great. From the front desk to the restaurant staff and the housekeepers, everyone offered service with a smile. Perhaps because it was the off-season, another couple checking in at the same time received a room upgrade. The hotel also provides a convenient shuttle service from Kawaguchiko Station. 3. The restaurant staff were very professional. While the sukiyaki for dinner wasn't a huge surprise, it was decent and had no flaws. 4. It's only a few hundred meters from Oishi Park, which is easily walkable. Compared to other attractions, it's a bit more niche, but the scenery is beautiful and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Cons: 1. It's quite a distance from Kawaguchiko Station, making it a bit far from other attractions. 2. You can't see Mt. Fuji at night due to the lack of light (which isn't the hotel's fault). 3. All rooms are non-smoking, and the small open space in front of the hotel with Mt. Fuji views is also a non-smoking area. There's only a small designated smoking area at the back entrance of the hotel. As a smoker, it's a bit inconvenient, but completely understandable and acceptable. 4. Also, there are no convenience stores or supermarkets within walking distance of the hotel. The Oishi Store listed on Apple Maps is actually closed. 5. To reach the hotel, you have to walk up a relatively long slope. It can be a bit tiring if you're on foot, but once you're down the slope, you're right by Lake Kawaguchiko, and there are very few people. Overall, the hotel is excellent. If you're staying with a partner, you can take a walk along Lake Kawaguchiko below the hotel. With Mt. Fuji right in front of you, the atmosphere is romantic and there are few people around. Highly recommended.

CCascadiaStayed: May 26, 2026 | 1 night | Room 4F Fuji View Room My partner and I recently enjoyed a memorable one-night romantic escape at Ooike Hotel in Fujikawaguchiko on May 26, 2026, and it exceeded every expectation we had for a special couple’s getaway centered around Japan’s iconic Mount Fuji. We specifically booked a Fuji View room on the 4th floor, and from the very first moment we entered, we knew we had made the perfect choice. Our journey to the hotel was smooth. After arriving at Kawaguchiko Station in the late afternoon, we took a short taxi ride through the charming streets lined with cherry blossom remnants and fresh spring greenery. The hotel’s exterior already hinted at traditional Japanese elegance mixed with modern comfort — a beautiful ryokan-style building nestled in a peaceful area with excellent access to the lake and mountain views. Upon check-in, the staff greeted us warmly with genuine smiles and a small welcome gift of local tea. They took the time to explain the facilities, meal times, and onsen rules in clear English, which was greatly appreciated as we were international visitors. The entire process felt personal and unhurried, setting a relaxing tone for our short stay. Stepping into our 4F Fuji View room was breathtaking. The room was generously spacious for a couple, featuring a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese and comfortable Western elements. Elegant tatami mats covered part of the floor, inviting us to sit and relax in the classic seiza style or simply lounge with cushions. The sleeping area had a high-quality Western-style bed setup that was firm yet plush, ensuring a restful night. Large picture windows dominated one entire wall, framing an almost surreal, unobstructed panorama of Mount Fuji. On May 26, the weather cooperated beautifully. As the late afternoon sun began to soften, we watched the iconic snow-capped peak glow in warm golden light. The mountain stood majestic against a clear blue sky, its details crisp and vivid. We spent nearly an hour just sitting by the window, holding hands, and absorbing the view in comfortable silence. As evening approached, the colors shifted dramatically — pinks and oranges painted the sky during a stunning sunset, turning Fuji into a silhouette masterpiece. Later at night, with the room lights dimmed, we could still see the mountain’s outline under the stars, creating an incredibly romantic atmosphere that felt almost private to us alone. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the private open-air bath (rotenburo) attached to our room. This luxurious feature made our couple’s experience truly special. The bath was filled with silky, mineral-rich onsen water that felt incredibly soothing on the skin after a day of travel. We took turns soaking together while gazing directly at Mount Fuji. There’s something profoundly intimate and unforgettable about sharing a hot spring bath outdoors with your loved one, surrounded by nature and that legendary mountain view. The water temperature was perfect, and the wooden tub design blended seamlessly with the natural surroundings. We enjoyed it once in the evening under the stars and again early the next morning as the sky lightened. Each session left us refreshed, relaxed, and deeply connected. Beyond our private bath, the hotel’s public onsen facilities on the upper floors were equally impressive. We visited the larger gender-separated baths in the evening and found them spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly uncrowded. The panoramic windows there offered even wider Fuji vistas, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the scenery while enjoying the therapeutic waters. The variety of indoor and outdoor pools, along with different jet options, provided a complete onsen experience that complemented our private bath perfectly. Dinner was another standout element that elevated our stay. Served in a private dining room reserved just for us, the kaiseki-style course was a culinary journey th

KKanoksri K.The room is a comfortable size and offers a lovely view of Mount Fuji from the corner. It is clean and well equipped, with individual air-conditioning in the room. All the staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The hotel also has onsen facilities, including separate male and female as well as private onsen. Parking is available, located a short distance from the hotel.

MMac_RingoExcellent value for money! You can see Mount Fuji directly from the room just by opening the curtains. The restaurant is a bit mediocre; it tends to get chaotic because they cater to many tour groups. The nearest Japanese restaurant closes early, so you'll have to go near Kawaguchiko Station for dinner.

NNathalie KarmannThe self check-in was very strange. There were many Japanese staff and a foreign staff members but they insisted that I my name and address manually. Then I had to pay the onsen tax, which is fair. The machine suggested either cash or credit card. I chose credit card and then the staff suddenly popped his head out to tell me to pay cash, which is extremely strange. It was very confusing. Either they set up their machine correctly, or they should stick to traditional check-in since they have a lot of staff. Still after I paid it took quite some time to get the key, they were ineffective. The room was OK, even though my booking was for 2 BEDS and 1 futon but only got 3 MATTRESSES on the tatami floor... I really enjoyed the bathtub with a view on the lake although there are only few of these bathrooms. The outside onsen looked nice but one of the baths was out of use, unfortunately.

Bbrayden_foongIt was definitely an enjoyable and worthy experience of traditional ryokan with tatami and futon with the best view of Mt. Fuji from the room window! The hotel itself overlooks parts of Mt. Fuji with Lake Kawaguchiko, and we even added on dinner and breakfast during the stay! They are simply one of the best meals during the trips in Tokyo! The onsen is another bonus to enjoy while seeing the view of Mt Fuji, even though it is public hot spring which might be a culture shock. Definitely worth to try it out again to enjoy the traditional Japan vibes around Lake Kawaguchiko.

KKarina Ch.Our stay at this hotel in Yamanakako was absolutely wonderful. The location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery and such a peaceful atmosphere. Everything was spotless and very well maintained. We stayed in a Japanese-style room, and it exceeded all of our highest expectations — spacious, comfortable, authentic, and truly special. The breakfast was delicious and incredibly generous. There was so much food that it was difficult to finish everything! The grounds around the hotel are also beautifully arranged and cared for, creating a very relaxing environment. We also had dinner there, which was excellent and offered at a very reasonable price. Yamanakako itself is much calmer and more peaceful than Kawaguchiko, so for us it was definitely the better choice. We highly recommend both the area and this hotel to anyone looking for a more relaxing stay near Mount Fuji. The only possible downside for some travelers might be the limited transportation options, but for us it was not a problem at all. There is a bus that circles the lake, and we easily reached Oshino, Fujiyoshida, and Kawaguchiko. In the evenings the town becomes wonderfully quiet, which was actually a huge advantage. After busy days in Tokyo, the silence and calmness here felt deeply relaxing. The hotel staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. We would especially like to thank them because my husband accidentally left his insulin medication in the refrigerator in our room. We did not even realize it was missing. After finding it during cleaning, the staff contacted us immediately and literally drove to the bus stop just five minutes before our bus to Mishima arrived to hand us the medication personally. We were truly touched by their kindness and care. This level of hospitality is rare and unforgettable. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

GGuest UserAn Unexpected Gem – One of the Best Resorts We’ve Ever Stayed At We booked this resort near Mount Fuji very late, and we were really worried because almost everything was already sold out. But it turned out to be one of the most wonderful stays we’ve ever had on any of our trips to Japan. The resort has several staff members who speak Vietnamese, and they helped us so much. Every time we needed to go somewhere, the shuttle bus took us to the station—even the times when I requested it late without booking an hour in advance, they still tried their best to arrange a pickup. Their kindness truly showed how much they care about their guests. From the driver to the front desk to the restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly warm, friendly, and always smiling. They were genuinely adorable and made us feel so welcomed. Our room was a huge surprise: a massive apartment-style space with four beds even though there were only two of us, plus two bathrooms. Everything was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The resort is located in a large forest, so the moment you step inside, you can smell the gentle scent of pine wood everywhere. The atmosphere feels grounding and refreshing—as if the Earth itself is recharging you. One of the best parts is that they have dedicated areas for pets. I got to play with some of the guests’ pets, and it was honestly such a sweet experience. Breakfast was delicious every morning, in a very authentic Japanese style. I went down for breakfast every day, and the dining area has a beautiful view of Mount Fuji—I even recorded some stunning videos there. I never imagined I would be able to book a resort this amazing. It seems like it has been operating for many years, with a rustic and warm charm that I absolutely fell in love with. Down at the reception area, they also sell all kinds of Mount Fuji souvenirs. When you’re out sightseeing in the Fuji area, you tend to buy a lot of souvenirs and snacks, which makes your bags very heavy—but the resort sells everything right there. I compared the prices, and they were actually much cheaper than the tourist spots, so we bought all our gifts there. Super convenient! I genuinely want to come back to this resort for future trips. It is one of the best places I have ever stayed, and I absolutely adore it. Highly, highly recommended.

GGuest UserTraditional Japanese hot spring hotel with beautiful lake side view and experienced front desk. The hotel is located just near the famous Tenjozan cable car station and quite easy to access to other attraction site on foot or by riding a bicycle. A 90 min all-you-can-eat hot pot buffet is provided during the stay as well as the delicate Japanese style breakfast. Hot spring can be found in each guest room and on the 2nd floor for public use as well. Overall, I am quite happy with my visit to the Breezy Bay hotel.
