Find2-Star Hotels in Shanghai

We booked two rooms, both looked as advertised which was very nice! Rooms were mostly clean, only very minor details were overlooked. We had a kitchenette but there was no cooking or eating equipment at all. Smoking seems to be allowed inside but the room didn't smell. Reception didn't speak any English but are well versed with translators. Overall would stay again.

The apartment is located right in the七浦area which is Shanghai's wholesale fashion zone with many malls selling clothes, shoes and bags at low prices. Think Platinum Mall in BKK but even better! There are 2 metro lines within short walking distance and just a stop away from the famous Nanjing East Rd. The loft we stayed in for 4 nights was on level 25 and offered a great view of the Oriental Pearl Tower from the balcony. Lots of eateries downstairs and Luckin Coffee just across the road from the apartment made it super easy to get our morning coffee every day.

Super central location about 5 min by foot to People’s Square Metro Station. To find the hotel in maps, I had to use the chinese name: 幸会臻选酒店 There are lots of restaurants in the street that are open very late. Reception staff is friendly and assists with any issues but does not speak english. Facilities seem a little older but everything is adequately clean and functioning & you can see the place is well maintained. There was room service every day, providing fresh towels, water bottles & cup, Toothbrush & slippers. They also emptied the bins/waste but did not make the bed. Bed was comfortable and the blanket sufficient for winter temperatures. Also, the AC unit can be set to heating. The Hair dryer is very strong and there is free shampoo & body wash in the room. Hotel has 6 floors which are accessible by stairs or elevator. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would come here again, however there seems to be a food place nearby and the smell is all over the hotel and can also be noticed in the room, which is not very appealing. Also, next to my room was a very load noise all through the night, like a washing machine or generator, which was a little annoying. Further the doors to the hallway don’t have good insulation and you can hear other guests coming in/talking but that was not too loud. I would still recommend the hotel :)

Very well located in a nice neighborhood around many great cafes and restaurants. Also close to a bus station. The rooms are nice and well equipped and the hotel staff is very friendly.

The hotel is ok for the price; pretty close to a mall and the metro station. It's about half an hour away from the Shanghai Railway Station by metro, so perfect for travellers. Sound insulation wasn't very great, and they also don't clean the rooms during your stay, so if you are staying a week expect your take out dishes etc. to be sitting in your room for the week.

Cleaness not too good, but the Service from homestay owner is magnificent. Fast response and so kind service....the homestay itself it's quite good and comfortable.it's just on a third floor with stairs, so like me with big and more than one baggage is quite tasking to lift it up to third floor. Location about 300meters from Shanxi South metro station.

I was very surprised by the service of this hotel. I had a terrible experience with a similar one, so I didn’t expect much, but they did their best to prove they were reliable and convenient choice for a layover. At first, my mom and I got left behind by the hotel’s free shuttle bus service. The driver didn’t mind me when I was trying to stop him. Good thing the hotel staff were always available to chat via email since I don’t have WeChat, and they sent a car to pick us up. A huge plus that they don’t lie about their shuttle bus schedule. It was exactly the same as they promised it in my hotel booking. We had a good rest until our next flight and were brought to the airport by the shuttle. A hotel staff member rode with us and help with our luggage. The hotel was very clean and the room was spacious enough. It was quite cold so we turned on the aircon and 20C made it cozy. We had some annoying moments with our neighbors who were noisy and smoked even if it’s not allowed in the hotel. I emailed the staff and they fixed he problem quickly. I would like to mention that everyone was very friendly and helpful, unlike in the other hotel. I’ll made a review for that too. Thank you so much for your hospitality! I would definitely come back if I have a layover in Shanghai🙂 P.s. The tea in the room was delicious! Pick up and drop off point for Terminal 2 was Gate 29

New hotel, good location, Xinzha Road subway station exit 5, turn right and it's only a few minutes away. Maybe the elevator is newly opened, the room is gray, the front desk is very enthusiastic and helped me solve some problems, the price-performance ratio is high, the smart toilet is too sensitive, sometimes I will be scared by the sound of the toilet lid 😅

Stayed at this place for an overnight transit. This place is very close to airport, it is about 10 minutes by bus. I used the free airport transport provided by the hotel. They pick up and drop off at level 3 of terminal 1. The frequency of the bus is about once every hour. I called the driver when I arrived and coincidentally he was already at the terminal. I followed his instructions to the location and he was there. As for from the hotel to the airport, you don't have to call them in advance just let the person at the counter know when checking in. They will arrange the bus for you. The hotel is a bit rundown but they have all the amenities you will need to stay overnight.

Staffs are nice including reception and housekeeper. We arrived at the hotel around 9 am with big luggage, so the reception checked the availability of the room and luckily we can early check in without fee. The location is good about less than 2 min from exit 10 at Zhongshan station. You can find Family Mart and Lawson around there. It is located near the mall and the park. If I arrived in Shanghai again, I am sure to stay there again. One thing that I wonder is pre-authorization fee still not back to my account, but it matters about the bank I guest.
