"The hotel is very special and antique. I like it very much. The house belongs to the level of cultural relics protection. To experience the old-fashioned Japanese-style room, this is the best choice. Breakfast is also worth trying. A few minutes walk from the ancient city of Hegen. 15 minutes walk from Wuhu. First arrival recommended to call from the train station, 900 yen, easy and convenient"

"Very good location, close to Shiga station. Many eateries nearby. Walking distance to Hikone castle. Friendly staff with good English. The only downfall is that the layout of the room is rather cramped, so if you have more than 1 big luggage it might be a bit difficult to pack and unpack."

"Room is clean and room is large. Room facilities is enough for a traveler. But the breakfast has a few choice and does not taste good, just fair. Too crowd in the lobby at about 6:30 am breakfast time and have to queue up for a long time to get a breakfast"

"After a crowded Kyoto, I love the peaceful and tranquil environment of this beautiful onsen hotel-ryokan and charming castle town. Everything about the hotel speaks of relaxation and well-being. It's only a 7-8min walk away from Hikone Train Station but there is a hotel shuttle that leaves at 9, 10 and 11 am if you need a drop off. Pick up could probably be arranged too. The hotel offers a pretty outdoor terrace with Castle view, an on-site spa with massage, a library lounge with free drinks till 10pm, a foot reflex corner and a compact onsen with a silk bath (all with Castle view) and hot stone benches. I had the whole onsen to myself in the evening, so it was very relaxing. The staff are kind and lovely too, making an effort to explain all the services and amenities in English. The buffet breakfast was also one of the better ones I've seen in my trips to Japan. If you're visiting the Castle, the entrance road is right outside the hotel. The main castle road is about 5-10 min away but you will pass by a famous Japanese confectionery, Taneya and Club Harie. Their souvenirs are one that even the Japanese cherish. I would wish to come here again with my partner one day. Thank you for the wonderful stay."

"The hotel is very comfortable and hygienic, the room is very spacious, the boss is also very polite, there are many taverns and canteens around, the convenience store is about 200 meters, about 15 minutes walk from Haogen Station, half an hour walk from Wuhu, Haogen eradication outside the city, You can also visit Wuhu and Saohe Mountain City. You can take a tram to visit the Battle of Guanyuan in half an hour. Especially the viewing of the exhibition hall is worth enjoying. It is less than an hour from Kyoto by tram.
