Hotels in Wulin Square Area, Hangzhou

This hotel boasts a prime location, surrounded by various commercial complexes, making it a popular spot for tourists, and it's approximately 500 meters from West Lake. It's a family-friendly hotel, complete with a children's play area on the first floor. The facilities generally meet a 3-4 star standard; it would easily qualify as a 4-star hotel if it only had a swimming pool. We were incredibly lucky! We managed to book the very last room during the peak summer vacation when the hotel was completely sold out. As the basic rooms were unavailable, they generously upgraded us multiple categories to a family suite – much appreciated! **Facilities:** 1. The gym is rather compact, but the essential equipment is sufficient. It's a pity there's no swimming pool. 2. The rooftop provides pleasant views of West Lake and the surrounding mountains, but do note it gets locked after a certain time. 3. No mini-fridge in the room. 4. Features an automatic toilet seat, but unfortunately, there was an occasional odor from the bathroom drain. Hopefully, this can be addressed. 5. Light sleepers might find earplugs beneficial. **Hygiene:** Clean. **Environment:** While a bit dated, the room itself maintains a good overall condition and gives a 4-5 star impression. **Service:** The staff are friendly, but they appeared quite stretched and overwhelmed given how busy the hotel was.

Fantastic experience at the hotel, they gave us the most spacious room, they have the cleaning washing machine and drying machine, the pool and also the ping-pong table, which was real fun, and the overall of the design is great. It’s sort of kind of a Zen or Japanese style. Recommend recommend. 

Location is perfect! Infront of the hotel is metro. Room was clean. So surprise with the towel steriliser inside the room! Everything is good! Plus plenty of water bottle infront of the lift for every floor. Will come back! And was also surprise the room has fridge 🥰

Having stayed in numerous hotels, this one's rooms and breakfast service were truly outstanding! The room's decor was cozy and inviting, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the cleanliness was top-notch in every detail, ensuring a supremely comfortable and worry-free stay. The service from Tang Gao was particularly excellent. The breakfast was truly exceptional, offering a diverse selection of both Chinese and Western dishes, all made with fresh ingredients. The Chinese hot congee with accompanying side dishes was incredibly comforting, and the Western bread paired with coffee made for a delightful start to the day. Both the taste and quality were superb! For our next trip, my child has already declared they want to come back here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, especially because the room was incredibly spacious. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a room with a balcony overlooking the river — a beautiful touch that made our stay even more memorable. The hotel also provides free breakfast, which was a nice bonus. The air conditioning in the room was strong and comfortable, perfect after a warm day out. We especially appreciated the teapot set with tea leaves, a thoughtful touch that added to the overall comfort. There’s a self-service laundry area in the hotel, which is convenient for longer stays — just note that it closes at 8 PM. Outside the hotel, along the main road, you'll find plenty of food options including KFC, Luckin Coffee, and a Muslim-owned Lanzhou beef noodle shop that we both really enjoyed. There's also a FamilyMart a short walk away for anything else you might need.

The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. However, the soundproofing wasn't great, and I was unfortunately woken up early in the morning by noise. Breakfast options were a bit limited, though the hot and sour noodles were delicious. Considering the price, it offered good value. Overall, it still lived up to the Marriott brand's reputation.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, situated at the intersection of Yan'an Road, just a five-minute walk from Guoda and Wulin Yintai. The hotel lobby is on the 8th floor. The elevators are quite new and make for good photos. The room facilities were decent; the front desk kindly upgraded us to an Executive King Room, which came with a capsule coffee machine. Just a left turn out of the room, you'll find a mini gym equipped with dumbbells, a treadmill, and an exercise bike. While the room wasn't particularly spacious, the mattress was very comfortable, and the soundproofing was quite good, ensuring virtually no noise at night.

I cancelled another hotel and booked this hotel the night before I stayed. I stayed in Hampton by Hilton in Kunming before and was sure it wouldn’t disappoint. However, contrary to what I read from the reviews, the hotel wasn’t as near to the metro as I thought. There was only one decent shopping mall Gda within walking distance. When I first entered the hotel room, I was greeted by a weird smell. Initially I couldn’t make out whether it was my socks that smelled or it was the room as I was sweating due to the extreme temperature in Hangzhou. As I went in and out a few more times, I was sure it was the carpet that had the stinky smell but after a while, my nose sort of got accustomed to the smell and felt nothing. As it was my last night in Hangzhou and I wouldn’t be in the room all the time, I didn’t make a fuss. Another point to note is: cars were not allowed to park in front of the hotel and if you were to book didi, you have to go to the bank beside the hotel to be picked up. I booked didi a few times and the car would usually stop by the roadside near the bank and one would have to react very fast, especially when you have a lot of luggage.

Overall, the hotel was fantastic! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, especially Xiao Mei at the front desk – she really deserves a special shout-out for her excellent service. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, offering expansive views. We appreciated the pleasant background music and the wonderfully quiet nights. Coffee is readily available from the front desk, with room delivery, and it's quite affordable at just 9.9 for an Americano. Enjoying a coffee while taking in the stunning high-rise views was a definite highlight. The location is superb, with convenient transportation right downstairs, providing easy access to dining, entertainment, and shopping options. Cleanliness was also top-notch. The hotel's vibe is perfect for influencers; it's incredibly photogenic and ideal for capturing great 'Instagrammable' shots.

Its elegant ambiance is immediately apparent upon entering the spacious and bright lobby, which exudes a luxurious and grand feel. Guest rooms are thoughtfully appointed for comfort, featuring soft beds and comprehensive facilities that ensure a truly relaxing stay. The staff deliver exceptional service, consistently demonstrating warmth, attentiveness, and a prompt response to guest requests. Dining options are equally impressive, particularly the breakfast, which offers a wide and delicious variety. Overall, my stay was exceptionally comfortable and enjoyable, marking a truly pleasant hotel experience.
