Hidden in the West Lake scenic area, the treasure trove of a guesthouse, ”Yedu Shanfang,” evokes a poetic atmosphere with its very name. The entire guesthouse exudes a captivating ambiance, with cleverly named rooms offering views of lush greenery right outside the windows—a tranquil escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The rooms are clean and tidy, with dry and comfortable linens, and meticulous attention to detail. The butler service is attentive and thoughtful, ensuring a wonderful stay. Relaxing in the courtyard, sipping tea and daydreaming, one can immerse themselves in the slow-paced mountain life of West Lake. A highly recommended stay when visiting West Lake.

Stayed here again, and this time the courtyard has been renovated, looking even neater and more refined. As always, it's very clean. The owners are a lovely, welcoming couple. There's a washing machine and a rooftop area for drying clothes. You can eat your takeaway breakfast in the kitchen. The location is excellent; it's less than a 15-minute walk to Quyuan Garden (Curved Garden and Lotus Pool in Summer), and most of the path is shaded.

Due to a previous activity running late, the owner waited for us until midnight for check-in. They also offered thoughtful laundry and drying services, which was a big plus. The owner's courtyard is very quiet and elegant. We rented their electric scooter, which made getting around convenient and smooth. Highly recommend!

Stayed here with my child for their college entrance exam, and it was a great experience. The B&B is right near Zhejiang University, making dining and transportation incredibly convenient. Our room even overlooked a nearby pond, and the lotus flowers are blooming beautifully right now. The room was very clean, and the bedding was super comfortable. The owner was warm, thoughtful, and provided excellent service. The quiet and comfortable environment was perfect for resting. It's definitely a worthwhile choice whether you're here for an exam or just sightseeing.

The last night of our family's (three generations, six people) trip to Hangzhou, we moved to this hotel from the West Lake area. We initially chose it for its proximity to Lingyin Temple, but it exceeded our expectations in every way! The hotel environment is very cozy, with a B&B-like feel. There's an ancient ginkgo tree and a 'Red Maiko' (a type of maple) in the courtyard. This little yard must be absolutely stunning in autumn! The surrounding area is superb; staying in Maojiabu feels like sleeping amidst beautiful scenery. Right outside, there's a lakeside boardwalk, making you feel like you've stepped into a 'Wizard of Oz' setting. Listening to the cicadas and frogs, watching the egrets and wild ducks – every single frame is a therapeutic sight. Getting around is also very convenient. The bus stop is only about 50 meters from the hotel entrance, and it's just two stops to Lingyin East. Shared bikes are also available, and cycling along the lake is a great option. There are also less-known attractions nearby, like Guo Zhuang, which are worth a visit. For nearby food, I recommend Guyiwan Wonton Noodle Restaurant, and the local farm-to-table restaurants are also quite good, with decent flavors. The front desk staff (both the young man and young woman) provided thoughtful service. The young man helped carry our luggage 🧳 to the second floor and adjusted the air conditioning for the elderly. The young woman patiently answered all our questions and even kindly offered free drinking water after we checked out. Before we left, they even gave us two fans as a gift. It was truly a wonderfully pleasant stay!

The room is close to Yue Fei Temple and Quyuan Garden, making it easy to walk to both with kids. It's also fairly close to the bus stop. The mattress and pillows weren't too soft; they offered good support, which was much more comfortable than many hotels I've stayed in before, exceeding my expectations for a good night's sleep. However, it's a bit far from the subway station, and the hotel is located in an alley within an old residential area, so the immediate surroundings aren't great. Overall, it's decent and I'd still recommend it, especially if you plan on spending a lot of time at the two aforementioned attractions.

This is an established state guesthouse, and I personally think both the food and accommodation are excellent. The courtyard room on the first floor has a small, private courtyard, which I didn't really get to use much. The breakfast is very rich, with Ding Sheng糕 (a local pastry), tofu pudding, and preserved vegetable pancakes all made fresh. At night, when you turn off the lights, it's pitch black – you can't see your hand in front of your face, with no electronic device interference whatsoever. Electric buggies are available for transportation around the hotel, and staff will call one for you at the entrance. The hotel itself is located within West Lake, offering beautiful scenery. It's a great hotel for a relaxing family vacation.

Located in Qingzhiwu, the hotel is outside the restricted driving zone for the scenic area, so you can drive right up to it. An underground parking garage, especially with charging stations, is a rare find in the West Lake scenic area. The room was clean. The most important thing is its proximity to the entrance of Hangzhou's classic hiking trails. After completing a loop, you can return directly to the hotel for a shower. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, making it perfect for a light weekend hike. The breakfast croissant was good. I would choose this hotel again next time.

Heartbroken, I came to Hangzhou alone to clear my head. While choosing a hotel, I saw many online recommendations for Yue Shang Yun She B&B, so I booked their single room. I never expected it to be such a delightful surprise during my trip! Right after booking, a housekeeper added me on WeChat, asking about my arrival time and transportation. When they heard I was traveling alone, they thoughtfully sent me a local travel guide. I arrived quite early, and as soon as I got out of the car, a friendly young lady came out to greet me and help with my luggage. The lobby was spotless, with many books on the shelves and fresh flowers everywhere, giving a wonderful first impression. The air conditioning was already on in my room, making it a very comfortable temperature upon entry. Although the single room wasn't large, it had everything I needed. Surroundings: Yuanguwan is just a three or four-minute walk from the guesthouse, and further in is Turtle Pool. There's a set of steps facing the lake there, and when I went, I happened upon two guys playing folk songs on their guitars. I was involuntarily drawn in, and throughout their performance, more and more people quietly sat down and joined in, humming softly. In that moment, I thought: 'What else could possibly not be let go of?' Later in the evening, I cycled to Huagang Park (Viewing Fish at Flower Pond). Watching the sun slowly set, casting a golden glow on the water, people strolled leisurely, some taking photos in twos and threes, others lost in thought. West Lake truly is a very healing place. After exploring outside at night, I returned to the B&B, where they offered a complimentary late-night sweet soup. During this time, one of the young ladies working there shared many fun places and interesting stories about the area. My day felt full and satisfying, and I happily went back to my room to sleep. The room was very quiet, and I slept soundly until 10:30 AM, waking up to the sound of birds outside – it was lovely. Breakfast was a delicious and abundant home-cooked meal prepared by an auntie. Thumbs up! Traveling alone, being taken care of with such meticulous attention was truly heartwarming. I will recommend this place to my friends and will definitely come back to stay again!

We booked a king-sized bed room, but since I was traveling with my 80-year-old mother, I wanted to switch to a twin room upon arrival. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and helped me switch to a much larger room. The room was very clean, and the service staff were also very thoughtful. Whatever we needed, we just told the front desk, and the staff would deliver it to the room immediately. It was a very comfortable experience. Next time I visit, I will definitely stay at this Hanting Hotel (Duanqiao Branch) again. It's very close to West Lake, just a few minutes' walk away, and dining is also convenient. The price is very affordable too. All in all, a very pleasant trip.
