"One of my favorite stays recently! The host is warm and friendly. The room is new and the bathroom is incredible. I only struggled (but managed) to fill the bath with hot water, as the water heater tank is probably not big enough for the winter season. Breakfast was simple but ok, I think they could improve in this. I highly recommend this place."

"A welcoming hostel with smiling and nice receptionnists. I found it perfect if you planned to do the Ha Giang Loop (they also can help you to book visits and rent a motorbike). Furthermore, you can let your extra luggage at the hostel while doing ”the loop” and even have a shower and a meal at the return, before leaving (very enjoyable when you take a night bus to another city).
More negative point: if you are not in a VIP room (that's the name of more expensive rooms I guess), you won't have a window, just shutters, so turn on the air-conditioning to avoid mosquitoes during the night! I don't know for VIP room but for basic ones, you'll share the bathroom with others customers."

"Ha Giang Historic House is a whole property. It has a large inlet, salted by trees. A main house with guest rooms, a separate restaurant with a pizza oven and a billiard table. At the time of our stay, we could not eat there, as they had to fight the consequences of the taifun from early October 2025.
It has a beautiful garden with swimming pool, bed and separated area. All very generous.
Since we were driving the loop itself, we could also borrow the motorcycles (Honda 150 cc) in the hotel. We stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was also excellent. Once Vietnamese soup, once we chose egg with baguette bread. There was coffee / tea and also fruit.
The owners are very premature, helpful and friendly.
We wish you a lot of success!"

"Everything was great, a brand new cool hotel for an overnight stay before the loop. Rooms 10/10. We were checked in at 5am, although check-in was from 3pm - special thanks for that, we got a good night's sleep after the sleepy bass.
Breakfasts are a bit meager - probably due to the small number of guests."

"Stay HG Hostel for a total of two nights, one before and another after the Ha Gain loop tour.
The room were clean and spacious.
The owner family is very kind and helpful - they invited me for their family dinner one night! It was one of my great memories in Vietnam.
I also booked my Ha Gain loop trip and my bus ticket to Hanoi. All were handed and accommodated professionally. Strongly recommend for all."

GGuest UserOne of the nicer hostels I’ve stayed at for sure! Love love love the wooden bunk bed frames and the beds themselves are huge and comfy. The dorm rooms are also nice and spacious and there’s a balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the street. The linens and blankets smell fantastic and there are THREE bathrooms, each with glass-walled showers. Each bed has a light and charging points and there is a stack of towels available, along with a hairdryer, slippers, and lockers with keys. Very convenient location, just a couple hundred meters to the local market and river walkway, and directly across the river there is a small mountain to walk or dive up with stunning views of the city.

GGuest UserThe location was a bit off the main street, but everything else was wonderful. Especially the owner's family was very kind. On the night I was taking the bus back to Hanoi, I had some time to spare before departure, so I wandered around and when I came back, the owner was waiting to have dinner together. They asked me where I had been, which was very touching. And when it was time for the bus, they even drove me to the bus stop. I tried to give them a tip as an apology, but they refused to take it and just said 'Come again'

BBin04There is no way to be picky about a cheap youth hostel. I just happened to be nearby and wanted to stay for one more day, so I checked into this youth hostel with my friends. The price is probably the cheapest in Vietnam and it also includes breakfast! Like👍

😕: The water pressure of the shower 🚿 is small, it is difficult to imagine that it is a four-star hotel shower. I have dinner buffet at my own expense (very cheap, 225.000 VND), similar to the breakfast buffet the next morning, some food is not very fresh.
In summary, this price (about 1.200.000 Vietnamese dong for one night) does not meet this quality 🙁
