"The name of the hotel speak for itself. Fantastic experience as we managed to catch the northern light right at the hotel itself. Tho hotel looks aged (might be due for refurbishment), overall is ok with all the necessary amenities. Staff were nice. We told them we had to leave early in the morning to catch a flight and wouldn’t be able to go for the breakfast which was provided for. The staff offered and arranged the breakfast to be prepared early for us. So nice of them. "

"Second time staying at Start Keflavik hostel because i had great experience there. It’s near to the airport by bus/car. Bonus / Kronan supermarket are within 30 minutes walk and along the way you get to snap some nice photos of the surroundings. Staff were very friendly and helpful and i had a good chat with the Chinese lady. Very spacious, cosy and clean amenities especially the recreation room, lounge and dining hall. Guests are provided with coffee, tea and other beverages at anytime. A wonderful place highly recommended for all travellers!"

"The hotel is relatively close to the airport, so location itself is convenient. The room was spacious and with comfortable beds, though with fairly minimal amenities. Based on the room alone, it is acceptable for a short 1-night stay without much to ask for. On the negatives, there is currently a renovation of the hotel entrance is ongoing. No information was provided to us in advance nor is it mentioned in their website, which is misleading since an informed opinion cannot be made (given the ensuing issues on noise etc). Also due to the renovation, the reception area is rather stuffy and dark, since there is limited air circulation and natural light in the current temporary “reception” area. Finally, the area immediately around the hotel up until the entrance is badly maintained, if at all, with garbage all over the place (from food containers to used condoms)."

The food was of extremely high quality and every dish was stunning. The massage service at the spa completely relaxed me. The hotel is in a great location with stunning views. "Late check-in was a mess. Trip.com does not provide an email to the hotel so I didn't get any check-in instructions from the hotel and had to wait for someone to let me in. The hotel posted a phone number I should call in such cases on the entrance door, but no one actually responded my calls. In the room the bathroom door didn't close properly. In general, the room was ok and the location near the airport was also good."
