"We chose this hotel because we expected to enjoy its winery/food. Otherwise, we should have stayed in Queenstown with a lot of restaurants and pubs.
As we would arrive in the early evening, we put a note for our hope for experiencing their winery and food (or at least finger foods) when we booked the hotel, and received email that they cannot guarantee but will do their best to serve our need. Since then, no email was sent to us. When we arrived at the hotel around 6 pm, no one was in the information desk, so we had to go to the bistro to find out that they left the key in a safe box without any notice or sending us any email with its password. We had to wait a while for the bistro lady to make a phone call to whom it concerns, which was okay. Worse, we heard that their bistro was reserved for a group event so we could not use the facility at all. We had to drive 15 minutes to a nearby town and bought foods from a supermarket. I think the hotel should have notified us of impossibility of using their bistro/food service due to the group event and we have to prepare for our food. As I checked out, I left a note about the issues, and expected they would send me an email to express their sincere apology. Unfortunately nothing happened so far. Although I liked the room as well as the whole place very much, I think Kinross cottage needs professionalism to run their stay program. It could have been much nicer, memorable stay experience."
"The hotel charged service fees and forcibly deducted money from the credit card.
Our family had dinner at the hotel. The hotel waiter thought we were foreigners and didn’t speak good English, so the bill was wrong. After we checked the prices one by one, they changed it."

"A large motel, the hotel grounds are a large park. There is a large lawn and a rugby field. very quiet. We live in a separate area. The room is not big and can accommodate 2-3 people. There is a public kitchen, which is large and cooking is no problem. There are dedicated public toilets and bathrooms, only hotel guests have keys, one minute's walk from the room. There is a medium-sized supermarket 5 minutes' walk away. It is a 10-minute walk from the town center, less than 20 kilometers from Queenstown, and a 20-minute drive. Compared with the same housing price in Queenstown, it is half cheaper."
"Almost all night in noise environment and voice come from the kitchen of restaurant, but it's in Good location. So a good spare choice if other accomodations no vocation."
"Really lovely homestay boutique hotel. Room was lovely and spacious with great attention to detail. Bathroom and amenities are great. Breakfast and staff are lovely and although more expensive than some hotels it is easy to see why. Would love to stay again."
"Facilities: The resort has complete facilities, a good environment, and a large golf course. The hotel rooms are average, American style.
Hygiene: The hygiene of New Zealand hotels is good.
Environment: Really good! There are also many foreigners staying here, all of whom come to play golf on vacation.
Service: Not bad!"
"It's a pretty good airbnb. The main selling point is that it has a huge garden with many fruit trees and some abandoned vineyards. There is a cat Oscar, a lazy sheep basking in the sun. At night you can see the entire southern hemisphere starry sky and the Milky Way.
The disadvantage is that there is no one to take care of me. I have to do everything by myself. The trip lasts for several days and I met the landlord John and several of his staff on the last morning."
