The “Single Room“ was as rather small and had an all glass “front door” and there was no fan or air conditioning… so with the open ventilation ducts most conversations from anywhere in the building could be heard inside of the room… Overall it was pleasant but not as nice as I had imagined from the listing…"

"Stay away from this hotel! The hotel rooms isn’t what’s pictured on booking sites, the entrance is through a forest on a mountain and through other buildings. The walls is stained, door is leaking, and the room are nasty. The entrance pathway crumbled under me so a nail went through my foot and got several scratches. It is NOT a hotel, not even a bungalow. I would rather sleep with the homeless dogs than stay there one night. We checked out 30 minutes after we checked in. At least the manager was nice enough to give a full refund and drive us to another hotel."

"The hotel is 200 meters from the railway, which you can walk along to a waterfall and a nine-arch bridge, enjoying stunning mountain views. The balcony overlooks the jungle, and you can watch monkeys hopping through the trees. My room was dirty, renovated in the 19th century. The hotel owner is friendly and welcoming. But he's building another house, so there's construction right outside, noise, and drilling from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m."

"The welcoming and staff are amazing and so is the dinner; however, the hotel is really far from downtown. My room was small but okay, it had a nice balcony with mountain view. The bathroom is big, but it flooded everytime I took a shower since there is no shower curtains or box. Watch out: the floor becomes very slippery! They did not clean my room or even asked me if I wanted it to be cleaned. I asked them for a silent room (my only request) and the front desk girl gave me a room over the restaurant which means noise started at 6:30am ):"

The city is around 15 mins from the resort and it's very lively with plenty of options for food and having an evening stroll. Transportation with tuk tuk is available at ease. "This hotel is beautiful and modern. Location is great, easy to get to restaurants and shops outside of the hotel. Staff have been very attentive and helpful. They clean the rooms promptly. The laundry service is great. The staff even ran to help us push the car up the hill when it was stuck. Room service food has been very good too, their devilled chicken and pizza were the best. Highly recommend staying with Te Dalu if you are visiting Ella."
