"Good for value. The location is very good, it’s at end of the town, convenient to go hiking and the restaurants. It’s quiet at night. The room is very clean. The owner is friendly. He gave us a pot of tea to welcome us when we arrive. Also he provided us the bus schedule information and advices for the time in Ella. It will better if there is a kettle so we can try Ceylon tea we bought."

"From the hotel it's about half an hour up the mountain (we walked there). A very nice place on the mountainside with a view of the neighboring Mount Ella and a waterfall, forest all around, local squirrels, an idyll. In general it's quiet, but from time to time a train passes below - a local landmark. It's convenient to start a walk from the hotel to Mount Ella, to the nine-arch bridge, to Mount Adam. Just go down and you're in the epicenter of city life. Wonderful hostess. The sweetest dog Nikki, we played with her all day. The room is spacious, with an exit to the veranda, where you can sit and look at the forest. Breakfast is served there. There is a kitchen with a stove and a kettle, which you can use. In the bathroom, bring your own soap, shampoo, etc. It's cool at night, but there are blankets for that. The breakfasts are nice: the hostess baked flatbreads, there is toast, fruit, an omelet. Please note: The lighting in the bathroom is dim, the water pressure is weak, but these are local peculiarities. As always, there is only one socket. Please note that it needs to be plugged in. There is no TV, kettle, refrigerator, air conditioner, there is a fan and a canopy from insects, but it is not hot here. A wonderful hotel, we left with regret."

"We arrived tired and out of sorts, but we were greeted so warmly that our spirits immediately improved. The hosts gave us tea, chatted in a homely way - you feel like a welcome guest, not a client. The hotel is on top of a mountain, and each room has an exit to a terrace with a stunning view. You wake up in the morning - and in front of you there are only mountains and silence. The room is clean, cozy, everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Breakfast was prepared especially for our preferences: fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, toast, even smoothies! The staff is not formally polite, but truly kind. If you want to not just spend the night, but feel cared for and relax your soul - this is definitely your place. I want to come back again and recommend it to everyone. Many thanks to the hosts for such an atmosphere!"

"Really lovely place up the hill from the town. Nice and quiet, and the hosts were amazing. Gave us some delicious spiced tea on arrival and a nice mint tea with breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was also delicious (and a huge portion). The only small issue is if you walk from the train station to the hotel, google takes you on a 15 minute route up a winding steep hill. However, there is actually a direct path from the town to the house (have drawn a simple map in the photo here. Yes, you are actually on the train tracks for a minute or two. If you can’t find it, the host can explain how to find the path back into town so at least you won’t need to take the long way into town at night for dinner and fun"
