Minimum stay three nights. The Flat at Glencaple offers very comfortable and cosy ground floor accommodation for two in the heart of the village. Built in the early 19th century, it has been renovated to a very high standard. Living room has a wood burning stove as well as efficient electric heating so you'll be warm and cosy. Lovely riverside views from the living room and bedroom. Free WiFi is available. Situated on the Burns and Solway Coast Heritage Trails it is only a few miles from the Wildfowl and Wetlands Reserve at Caerlaverock. In winter Barnacle geese fly past your window morning and evening and other geese, wildfowl and ducks can be seen on the river. Otters are often spotted nearby and in summertime porpoises and seals have been seen on the river. This area is a nature lover's paradise (BBC's "Autumn Watch" broadcast from here in 2015). Also well-placed for gentle walking, cycling, fishing, sightseeing and relaxing. Lovely beaches are only half an hour's drive away and Caerlaverock Castle is just up the road. Galloway Forest Park was the first Dark Sky Park in the UK - in winter it gets dark quite early so you could get there, star gaze, and back before it gets too late!Glencaple has a very busy cafe and shop (The Boathouse), and popular hotel (The Nith) serving lunches and dinners all year round - both just around the corner from the Flat. Go to www.caerlaverock.org.uk for more information about the area. Dumfries has several excellent restaurants including Home (recently reviewed by Grace Dent in the Guardian) and The Globe, established in 1610 with Head Chef and Sous Chef having combined one and two star Michelin experience.Scottish Short-Term Lets Licence DG00039FAbout pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Adults only.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.

Very Good
SSanzhixiaoxiongailvyouThe hotel room is decorated like a KTV. The location of the hotel is very remote. It does not go into the city. The road to the hotel is blocked by traffic and causes a tire blowout. The road to the hotel is really difficult. The service staff at the hotel are very enthusiastic. The breakfast at the hotel is average. It is generally not recommended to book if you don’t have a car. It is expensive and inconvenient. My friend insisted on making a reservation, but had no choice. Anyway, the way to the hotel felt like driving into a forest. There was no one on the way and the trees were all gloomy. It was difficult to get in. The hotel didn't look like a castle to me, it just kind of looked like it. Not great value for money, other things are fine. The hotel room is really big in the UK. It also has a bathtub and a big toilet. However, the decoration is hard to say like a KTV. It is too big and looks a bit scary. The lobby looks okay during the day, and the hotel entrance is also good. It’s really scary at night~
