There is a parking lot, you need to inform the store in advance. The bedroom is on the 2nd floor and the others are on the 1st floor. The space is large and suitable for family travel. The room facilities are very considerate and treat foreign guests as natives.
Feida Pavilion Flower Fan is a Japanese-style ryokan. The hotel shuttle bus departs from JR Takayama Station West Exit Hotel Bus Station every day from 1400 to 1730. The bus will depart every half an hour. The driver will confirm the name of the reservation customer before boarding. When arriving at the hotel, the waiter will be very warm and courteous. The same waiter received the welcome drink and snacks, then introduced the hotel facilities, and then confirmed the meal time.
The food is delicious and delicate, if you are not full, you can eat ramen for a late night.
The hot spring water is very slippery and the environment is good. Basically, there are not many hotel guests during the off-season. There are only three or four kittens dipping in the public hot spring. It feels quiet and comfortable. The male and female soups are interchangeable in the morning. If you want to soak all the hot springs, you can try it in the morning. The foot soup is also good.

Stayed there with as a family of 3. While I really wanted to like the ryokan due to the warm service and great feedback from friends, my own experience was a bit disappointing. We have stayed in many traditional ryokans prior to this and were familiar with the setup. We are appreciative with the warm service and sincere touches; like candies at check in, but the ryokan itself is really quite old and in need of a refresh.
Our room is tucked away in a corner and required us to go down a small flight of stairs to reach. I am not sure if the location meant that is a bit colder than the rest of the rooms but we really did feel cold and the heating was inadequate. The in built heater would also stop and beep in the middle of the night, which led 2 of us falling sick at the start of the trip. We requested for a additional small heater which helped a bit. Second night, our 9yo son also got many mysterious bites all over his leg. He claimed to have seen a bug crawl under the tatami mat but we were not certain and therefore did not feedback to the ryokan as we only had one more remaining night to go. We had only stayed 1 night in nagoya's marriott associa hotel prior to our ryokan visit, and his skin improved after we left Takayama, leading us to think that it might have been the stay there.
It's a very beautiful, very comfortable and very new hotel. It's just that the location is too remote and there shouldn't be any restaurants around. However, there are cup noodles and other items for sale downstairs, and the prices are very reasonable. The view from the hotel room window is farmland, which is very beautiful.
Cozy family hotel, it’s super quiet when I live in. During the whole stay, only one of us has a family bath and 5 pools casually, watching the snow fall on my shoulders quietly, life is happy! It is very suitable for children. Breakfast and dinner are very supportive. It is close to Shinhotaka and the ski resort, and it is quieter than Hirayu.
This is a homestay without a front desk. Normally, there will be an email to inform me of the room number and check-in password before check-in, but Ctrip did not notify me of these, and did not receive an email. After the check-in time, I had to go directly to the homestay. Fortunately, I met someone else who was staying and told me the landlord’s contact information, and also contacted the landlord and successfully checked in.
The location of the homestay is very good, it is convenient to go anywhere, it is easy to find, clean, we booked a quadruple room with four single beds, the comparison is also very high, and you can cook in the homestay, we bought the local famous moth cow to eat satisfied, it is worth staying again!
I visited GW with my family.
The word “hospitality” was perfect.
The staff were friendly and friendly, and I was very comfortable.
I was happy with both the bath and the food.
I would like to return if there is an opportunity.
Thank you very much.

AAndruThis was our second stay in Takayama Residence and we love its proximity to the train station and its central location to town. Rooms are equipped with cooking facilities(great for cooking your Hida beef) and washer/dryer combo which made it easy for laundry.
Only drawback is the lift which is rather small and only 1 to service 8 floors. Be prepared to wait at least 10min if you are checking out or in during those busy hours. There is no onsen in Takayama Residence but they do have an arrangement in Wat Hotel which is a 15min walk away...a rather long trek imo. Overall, it is a good location to stay in Takayama.
GGuest UserSuper convenient, the hotel is located two
minute walk from Takayama station on the way it is fully covered so there’s no worry during a snowstorm like when I was there. Service was also amazing staff met the guest with a smile and when I didn’t have an umbrella, I was offered umbrellas for loan straightaway for free. The hotel also has its own Onsen and it was very convenient to see it crowdedness through the TV in your own room. There’s also a rest area where you can enjoy the view of Takayama from the top of the building and a foot spa for those who can’t do the full body hot spring which is very good for people.
SShu KaiseiOne of my favorite stays! Check-in was easy although required to fill some digital form on the hotel tablet. The room was very spacious. Well maintained and clean. Gorgeous view of the town from the window. There are free male/female public baths in this hotel which swaps in between timings! Love the public bath it was a good experience. I also am appreciative of the free coffee and tea machine, and the Hoshizaki water dispenser at the lobby area. Location is extremely convenient, less than 5 minutes walk from Takayama Station and the Bus Centre as well. Only thing is the walk to the hotel from the station is not sheltered so might be troublesome if raining. Convenience stores and plenty local food shops around the hotel area too. Would definitely come back again if ever visiting Takayama.
NNILSLAMVery grateful for the comfortable room arranged, which made me feel as warm and cozy as at home. Especially the thoughtful anniversary snacks prepared by the hotel were truly a delightful surprise. Such a considerate arrangement made this stay exceptionally memorable.
All the hotel staff members exhibited a high level of professionalism and friendly service attitude, from the front desk to room service, making me feel genuinely welcomed. I believe that the outstanding service quality and meticulous arrangements of your hotel will continue to attract more guests.
CChrisYip贏錢兄The hotel room is clean and well-equipped with cooking utensils, cups, plates and tableware. The hotel is very new and clean and easy to access. There are many parking lots near the hotel and shopping places nearby. It is very suitable for family self-driving trips. I will consider it. A hotel to stay at again, highly recommended😊
GGuest UserThe service was excellent. I especially want to praise the front desk lady that day, because we lost something at the previous hotel the night before, and the hotel's telephone customer service could only speak Japanese, so we couldn't communicate. The front desk lady of this hotel was very patient in helping us. It took up a lot of his time, but she was always very enthusiastic.
The hotel also offers indoor and outdoor hot springs, and the restaurant in the hotel also serves good food. The breakfast in the morning was also delicious with a lot of variety. It was a very pleasant stay experience.
JJohnWe tried to book this lesser known hotel in the area and guess what, we were glad we did got the opportunity to stay in this lovely hotel. The staff was kind and sincere even though they tried their best to speak converse with us in english. The room we stayed in was those like ryokan kind with a toilet in it. Shower area are shared among other guests which is linked to a shared indoor and outdoor onsen areas as well. They have a private onsen as well which you do not need to book, just need to lock the door outside to inform people that you're using it.
The best part of this experience is that we opted for dinner and breakfast and we were just blown away especially the dinner course menu. They provided like 10 different type of dishes for you to taste which includes the iconic hida beef as well!
Everything for one night is so affordable around SGD $200+ which is definitely worth it!
GGWO CHYANGA The hotel room was clean, and the service was satisfactory. The spa facilities were excellent, and our kids had a wonderful time. Overall, a great stay!
PPatimaGreat Perks, but Room Location Was Noisy
The hotel offers some fantastic perks, like a free welcome drink, an in-town parking discount, and complimentary night ramen (though we didn’t try the ramen as we were too full). The facility is new and very clean, which we appreciated.
However, one drawback was the location of our room. It was close to the lobby, and we could hear loud talking and noise until about 10 PM. We were exhausted that night and wanted to sleep early, but it was difficult to rest until after the noise stopped.
Overall, it’s a nice hotel with great amenities, but I’d recommend requesting a room farther from the lobby for a quieter stay.
AAnonymous UserThis hotel exceeded our expectation! It is very near the Nohi Bus station and the JR Takayama station (3-5 min walk). Although we just stayed overnight, we had a memorable experience in Takayama Ouan. The hotel has a lot of freebies for their guests. They have a booth in the lobby where guests can get free brewed coffee, hot tea, and green lemon iced tea. They also provide free socks since the hotel have tatami flooring. What we also loved about this hotel is the onsen (separate public onsen for male and female, and 3 private onsen). They also have a freezer where guests can get free iced cream after bathing. During past 9 pm, they also have free ramen for their guests. The room is spacious, and the view from our window is also nice (the roads and establishments covered with snow). Aside from the free stuff and great amenities, we also appreciate the kind and friendly staff members. We accidentally lost the luggage claim tag (and we are willing to pay for it) but they didn't charge us anything.
When we go back to Takayama, we will definitely stay here again.
