Location is convenient and overall service is good but there are better choices around definitely. Dinner and breakfast spread quite limited. Nice view of the garden but on 2 occasions the elderly Japanese just ignored the reserved tag I placed on the table and took my seats… suggest to place a more visible belongings to reserve it. Western room is adequate 18sqm. Poor noise cancellation as noise echos 20m down the hallways, metal room doors slamming, chairs dragging and phone vibrates in the next room can be heard. Not recommended if you’re a light or early sleeper, especially guests moving in/out along the corridors to take onsen bath. The hotel also hosts tour groups. Witnessed a tour group of Europeans. Koreans speaking on phone at hallways…etc.

A new hotel just built in front of Takayama station. It is a stay type hotel, but artists are decorated everywhere and fashionable. This time, Superior twin. The room itself is not particularly characteristic, but there is a sofa on the window side and it can be relaxed. This sofa is a bed, so you can stay for three people. Electric pots, empty refrigerators, washing dryers, microwave ovens, etc. are also complete. Recommended for long stay. The bathroom is small in the unit. Especially the toilet is small. There is a comfortable public bath, so I wanted to relax the toilet part only by shower. Amenities are only toothbrushes, and amenities are available on the first floor. Shaving, brush, tea bags such as tea and green tea, cosmetics, cotton swabs, cotton, etc. The public bath is also fashionable with designer specifications. There is also an open-air bath. You can enjoy two different design hot springs in the men and women replacement system. The atmosphere is like a public bath in a luxury inn. It doesn't seem to be in front of the station. We stayed at Hotel Associa Takayama Resort as part of our tour group. We had a spacious twin room on the 15th floor of the Alps Wing which was the largest room of our tour. The room was very comfortable as were the beds. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The resort is on the outskirts of Takayama but there is a shuttle bus into the centre of the city. There are limited restaurants in the hotel and 2 of them were booked out by the time we arrived. We managed to book into the Japanese restaurant and had a delicious meal there. The breakfast buffet didn't have cereal. There was a laundromat on the ground floor which consisted of a number of combined washing machine/dryers which dispensed their own detergent.

This place was unexpected. We wanted to be in the center of town and have Western beds and booking from afar was a bit difficult so we found this online and went for it. We arrived and found a sort of dated but comfortable hotel with lovely staff. It was a bit formal with lots of rules about set menus and what time breakfast would be served. But the instructions were in English and the manager/owner and all the help were very helpful.

Went with my mom for a one night stay. Had a wonderful experience and thoroughly enjoyed all the complimentary amenities and refreshments. The staff were warm, thoughtful and polite, and explained everything in excellent English. Will definitely recommend you to check this place out. Its pretty easy to find from the jr line.

This hotel provided great service and clean accommodations. I love that hotels in Japan provide pajamas and toothbrushes. This hotel had two public baths. It's nice that they have one bath where the water is not as hot. We had the dinner buffet. It included American and chinese offerings. You receive a ticket for one serving of the Hida beef. I thought the food was good. I like that the portions are small, so you can try a lot of things. We also had the breakfast buffet which included Takayama specialty items too. There is a large souvenir shop in the hotel, so you are able to pick up gifts. I thought the prices are comparable to other gift shops. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the train station. It is a 7 minute walk to the train station, so it's not so bad. They only have two shuttles that go to Takayama Jinya (government house) which is across the bridge from Sanmachi Suji. Otherwise it's at least a 20-25 minute walk. I wish they had more shuttles to that area. There is not much to look at on the way from the hotel to Sanmachi. As Takayama becomes more popular with tourists, most of the hotel staff and store owners are able to communicate in English. Overall, I enjoyed my time at the hotel and would stay there again.

The atmosphere of the inn was very good, but to get to the room, I had to change elevators twice, walk a long corridor, and finally take the stairs to the upper floor. It is necessary to walk in the opposite direction each time to go to the public bath and to eat. It is difficult for the elderly and those with weak legs. We used the early bird reservation and national travel support to stay cheaper than usual, so I wondered if it was the furthest room (laughs). I couldn't take a long bath slowly, but the person in charge was just checking the temperature, so when I asked, the open-air bath was 42.9 degrees. A small child with a family shouted ”hot, hot” and left early. After all, I only entered the large public bath once, and after that, I adjusted the temperature of the bath in the room. One more thing, all three hair dryers in the public bath did not work even when I pressed the button, so I used the one in the room. When I asked my wife, she said, ``I couldn't use it at first, but someone else told me to use it by pressing the other switch at the back.'' I couldn't use it, maybe it's my fault, I wanted you to write a manual (sorry if I overlooked it)

Hotel is in a very good location being very near to the Old Town where the attractions and restaurants are. However there is limited parking space, and we had to park in a public car park 100m away. Staff were friendly, but communication was a little difficult as they were not very conversant in English. Overall nice hotel.

６ We used it at work in the month. The front desk was very helpful with kindly explaining the recommended store for dinner (drinker). The joint bath had time constraints, but I used it early in the morning. The washroom is a small bath with only ３ places, but when I used it, I was alone, so I was able to enter it relaxingly. Breakfast was a lunch box for corona convenience. Unfortunately, Bento and miso soup were not delicious, but they left most of them. The accommodation fee is cheap, and there are many taverns and ramen shops around, and I think it is a convenient inn.

GGuest UserExtremely well located if you want to be right next to the train station and bus station - my room overlooked the tracks. Provision of washing machine and dryer is a superb bonus inroom as are the full cooking facilities. The hotel intelligently provides basics such as oil, salt, coffee, tea and even a couple of detergent sachets for the washing. Strangelt though, no knives or other cutting implements of any kind. A tip if you intent to cook. The Family Mart opposite is basic, but there is a huge supermarket under the tracks and just beyond MacDonalds where you can get international food as well as Japanese. Slightly dreary corridors and a reception crowded with people waiting for their room to become available. But on the plus side they let me into my room early as I was unwell at the time.

GGuest User８ Month ２７ 2 nights from day. When I arrived at the hotel, it rained and parked in front of the entrance. １ time until check-in in the lobby. Immediately from the east building where the front lounge is located, the south building. There is a footbath at the end of the aisle and towels are also placed. Take the elevator to the ６ floor. Be careful as the elevator door closes early. The view from the room is mountains. The twin is large enough. The toilet and washroom in the unit bath are good. It's a pity that there is only one room key １. The large communal bath is on the １ floor of the East Building. There is no replacement for men and women. There are about 10 showers in the indoor bath. There is also an open-air bath. Charcoal is burned in the fireplace in front of the entrance of the indoor bath. There are also billiards. There is a heated pool with a depth of 90 cm outside. Although it is not big, there are few hotels in Okuhida with a pool. The meal is Fuyo, a suzuya on the 2nd floor of the East Building, and Japanese food is served with evening breakfast. It is good that there is no tempura in the kaiseki. Alcohol is cheap. There are two smoking areas, the terrace in front of the lobby of the East Building and the wooden deck outside the rest area with the fireplace in the South Building. The next day, around 13:00, I got on a slope car and went to the famous mixed bath open-air bath ”Yari no Yu”. The largest area in Okuhida, certainly wide. If the weather is nice, you can see Mt. Yarigatake. The man is half-pants style. Women wear shoulder-style bathing clothes. There is a dehydrator in the changing room for women, but not for boys.

GGuest UserFrom the time I arrived by car to the time I checked in, I felt a welcome hospitality. There was a coffee service in the lobby lounge. The room was a room plan, and it was a Japanese room ８ tatami & wide edge. In the inn, as I spent almost on the wide edge with a chair, the window was small facing the parking lot, the ceiling was diagonal, and the head hit the threshold, so I said this room might be a translation. The Japanese room was normal, and the room had two keys and Wi-Fi. yukata can be selected for women. There is also cold water and electric pot. The bath was a source of Ni kind, with an open-air bath of sulfur spring and simple spring, and there were two open-air baths and two cherry blossom baths. From the simple spring of the open-air bath, the mountain of Hotaka 々 was desired. The inner bath is sulfur spring. The hot water flowers are sinking. The open-air bath was also large and impressed with the very good hot spring. The laundry wash area has amenities. Dinner was in the large hall and the space between tables was also sufficient. The Hotaka Kai seat was satisfied. Especially the cold tea bowl steaming of HIDA milk and HIDA mozzarella and the pottery plate baking of HIDA beef were especially delicious. Also dessert (cheese cake, caramel pudding was delicious, HIDA melon and pine were sweet. sake was first asked for a cold sake of local sake, but later, a cold sake of local sake was ３ books and is currently discounted at 2000 I noticed that there was a circle later and I had a ３ book set. I enjoyed the difference between the sake ３ seeds and each taste. The meal attendant feels good, and the chakkaman is also on the table. So it was good to bake meat or bake at your favorite time. LLeon FokThe apartment is conveniently located near the train station, which provides easy access to public transportation. While the surrounding neighborhood is pleasantly quiet, it is still very convenient, with restaurants and other amenities within walking distance. The spacious balcony offers lovely views and is a wonderful feature, allowing you to enjoy the fresh air and scenery. Overall, this is an excellent value and I would highly recommend it based on the location, amenities, and beautiful balcony view.

Takayama was easily the best place we visited during our entire visit to Japan. We stayed 2 nights in a Japanese style room with a private outdoor bath and dinner and breakfast. The room was absolutely beautiful - so spacious, clean, and luxurious, with all the amenities we could have needed. The outdoor bath was heavenly, and the view from the balcony was the icing on the cake. It was lovely to come back from dinner and have our futons laid out for us. If you’re looking for a truly traditional Japanese dining experience then look no further. We had a private dining booth, and the food was served in small courses. The food itself was very different to what we’re used to, and it was quite intimidating! But the staff did a good job at explaining what everything was and how to eat it. We were concerned that we might have communication issues since Hoshokaku is away from the big cities, and we weren’t sure how prominent English would be here. But the staff spoke the clearest English of any other accommodation we stayed at. They were so attentive all the time that we almost felt like royalty. We’re already planning to stay again when we next visit Japan! One last thing I’d like to mention is to address concerns in previous reviews about smoking in the building. I think this must be something which has completely changed; we didn’t get a whiff of smoke anywhere in the building. The entire place was immaculate and honestly a joy to wander around in.

Hhoi ut sinThe hotel is 7 or 8 minutes away from Takayama Station. It is relatively quiet and tidy on the other side of the station. The environment is very good and gives people a very relaxing feeling. The hotel has an outdoor soup, which can be reserved for half an hour. There are not many rooms. , there are about seven rooms. I booked the one with a private bath. The room is large and can accommodate 4 Tatami mattresses. The staff speaks Mandarin and communicates very well. It is a very good hotel.

One of the, if not the, best hotels on our trip. Hotel is wood accented throughout and the hotel has a new and fresh modern aesthetic. Location is fantastic and within easy walking distance of central Takayama and a number of good restaurants serving local food. Comfortable well-appointed rooms, super helpful staff, outstanding morning breakfast, not to mention the excellent teas and coffee available throughout the day. Could not have been better and recommend a stay here. Hotel can be a little hard to find because it has an understated entrance. Just a tourist’s preference but it would be nice if there were some English translations available for the TV remote and at least one English station available for news.

There is a theft in booking a room in Japan: the room is charged according to the number of people. This room can accommodate 3 to 6 people. You can book 3 people for 4 people and 3 or 4 people for 5 people. living!
