The hotel has three buildings. According to the hotel name, the building on the small street is far from the hotel. It is not convenient to find it at night. The hotel gate is not eye-catching. The entrance is directly to the subway Jiujiao exit. There is a bus stop opposite the hotel. The transportation to various attractions is very convenient. The hotel has a wide variety of breakfast, free drinks in the lobby, hot springs, and spacious and clean rooms with complete facilities.
The hardware aspect of the inn is perfect.
It can't be helped that the maple leaves in the courtyard haven't turned red due to the climate and location, but I wish they had at least picked the brown and withered leaves.
All of the staff who assisted us were foreigners, but I wonder if there are no Japanese staff stationed there full-time. Even if you give your name at check-in, it cannot be checked against the reservation list (I told you that you are third from the top of the list). I made a reservation that included breakfast, but I was only booked for the night (the check-in sheet said ”room only”, so I pointed this out and discovered the error). When I requested a luggage delivery service to deliver to my next hotel (in Osaka), I was told that they could only deliver to Osaka Station (the list of internet and in-room services also said that delivery to the hotel was possible). When I pointed this out, they called the delivery company to confirm and accepted the order.Even at that time, they did not tell me the name of the hotel in Osaka. The price was different from what was listed in the room list ( The price had gone up)). Breakfast is a normal Makunouchi bento. etc.
I wanted to experience the atmosphere of Kyoto, so I decided to stay at a fairly expensive hotel, but I was disappointed.

Hotel Material was a great value stop in our tour of Japan.
We stayed for 2 nights as a family of four and it provided everything we needed. The bunks were large and ample for even adults. The sunken king bed was unusual, but easily the largest bed I slept in in Japan and well worth the investment. The shower was also excellent with both great water pressure and was tall enough to accommodate me at 6ft without sitting, a first for me here.
The room was clean and well presented and even came with some games to occupy the kids. The staff weee helpful and happy to look after our bags before check in.
The hotel also has a lovely roof terrace available which we weren’t expecting.
Overall, this hotel is average and not good value for money! The hotel is at the foot of Nanzenji Temple. It is more convenient to climb the mountain to see the temple in the morning. To go to other attractions or shopping, you need to walk a distance before taking the subway. It is understandable that the hotel facilities are old, but the poor quality of the bedding seriously affects the quality of sleep and also makes people worry about hygiene issues. Since the hotel has a restaurant, it does not provide food delivery service to the rooms, which undoubtedly reduces the experience for a Japanese-style hotel. The delivery service was relatively standardized and did not leave a deep impression. Poor sound insulation is a common phenomenon in Japanese-style hotels, so guests should try to be careful about what they say to avoid disturbing other people's rest. The best experience is the breakfast session. In the traditional Japanese restaurant of the hotel, the tofu banquet is a famous restaurant near Nanzenji Temple. It is recommended to wear the kimono provided by the hotel to show respect for the local culture. It is a pleasure to enjoy the beautiful Japanese garden scenery while dining. The hotel has a traditional public bath, but the environment is average. Overall, this Japanese hotel experience is average

Business Traveler. Hotel aesthetic was very cool from the basement library and kitchen to the Gin Bar. Service at check was fast and efficient. Room size was a little small but manageable (similar in size to many Japanese Business Hotels) so more than one person would be tight. Also might be difficult to work in the room but you can always go down to the basement where they have comfortable chairs and tables. Location was convenient and only a 5-7 minute walk to Kyoto Station. I would consider to stay again when I visit Kyoto in the future.
From the entrance to the inn, I was able to have a luxurious experience in a historic townscape that was beyond my imagination. The room is clean and I am very satisfied!
In addition, when using the lounge, the hospitality of the staff was excellent, offering fragrant tea and alcohol, and we were able to have fun conversations. They gave me a lot of suggestions to make my stay in Kyoto wonderful, and it was fun! The service was excellent, with alcohol being brought to your room instead of just in the lounge. thank you.

The place that left my first trip to Kyoto as a happy memory until the end
I will bring good memories with me whenever I remember Kyoto.
The well-organized and tidy feeling makes you comfortable from entering the hotel to leaving.
It blends Japan's past and present well, giving it a unique and sophisticated feel.
Hinoki bathtub and plenty of warm water
It relieved the regret of a ryokan that I had not experienced on this trip.
It is recommended that you try the breakfast you ate every morning.
The menu, which used to be Korean food, was changed to a buffet format.
The food is unusual and unique. I'm very satisfied ^^
I'm going back after getting along well with the warm consideration and help of all the staff.

Sowaka, Kyoto, consists of a new building and an old building. The old building does not accept children under 12 years old, but the new building does. The old hotel has a history of 110 years. After the renovation, it is really modern. The original well is retained and the stove is in the reception area. It feels great. The hotel overall is very good and the service is also very good. I will choose it again next time I come.

A very cost-effective hotel, very convenient to various attractions, and the price is really good for the same location and conditions! There is also a large bathhouse where you can take a dip, and the breakfast is also good. Overall, it is really an excellent hotel.

JJarl SolangeThe service at this hotel is famous: everyone seems happy to see you. The location is also very good, close to the station but not so close as to feel busy. But what I really liked was the breakfast, which I found exquisite. I definitely recommend this hotel.

YYI HUEYThe accommodation experience in the townhouse is really authentic. The house is beautiful and very comfortable as soon as you enter the house. No matter how you take photos there, it is very interesting. We were very satisfied with the food at the hotel because we have family members who don’t eat beef. Although the hotel couldn’t do it at first, they were willing to communicate and let us choose different foods. Thank you very much!

LLi Ing Sheryl LeeWe like how the check in was done through an automated system which was easy to use. A staff is nearby to help if help is ever needed. The hotel also offer amenities in the lobby for guests to self-help which even include facial products like make-up remover and masks. The hotel room was clean and beds were comfortable. The pillows provided are of 2 intensities - hard and soft so that guests can choose to use whichever work for them. Sufficient space in the hotel room. The service staff are always smiling and pleasant to talk to. When I called the front desk to check if I could borrow their travel adaptor and I offered to go down to collect from them. The front desk helped to deliver it up to my room in less than 5min. I really appreciate their effort. All in all, this hotel is very efficient and we enjoyed our stay.

CCkyankcTitle: An Extraordinary Stay at an Exquisite Kyoto Gem
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a truly remarkable hotel in Kyoto, and I can confidently say that my experience was nothing short of excellent. From the moment I stepped foot into this elegant establishment until the day of my departure, every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations.
Nestled in the heart of Kyoto, the hotel's location was simply perfect. It provided easy access to some of the city's most iconic landmarks and cultural attractions, ensuring that I could explore the beauty of Kyoto with utmost convenience. Whether it was the majestic Kinkaku-ji Temple or the serene Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, everything was within reach, allowing me to immerse myself fully in the city's rich heritage.
The hotel's architecture and interior design were a true reflection of Kyoto's aesthetic beauty. The moment I entered the lobby, I was greeted by a sense of tranquility and harmony. The attention to detail was impeccable, with traditional Japanese elements seamlessly integrated into the contemporary design. The serene garden views from the common areas only added to the overall charm and provided a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city.
The staff members at the hotel were the epitome of hospitality. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout my stay, they went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Their genuine smiles and willingness to assist with any request created a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that made me feel right at home. Their knowledge of the local area and recommendations for sightseeing and dining were invaluable, enabling me to make the most of my time in Kyoto.
The room I stayed in was a haven of luxury and elegance. Immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, it exuded a sense of serenity that allowed me to unwind after a day of exploration. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the comfortable bedding to the carefully curated amenities.

GGuest UserVery polite and helpful staff. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The breakfast was ok and they offered both japanese and continental options. The standard rooms on the 2nd floor had no view as there was a large wall in front of the window so i would definitely not recommend this option. The premium rooms are on higher floors and offer better view, if that is what you are going after. Overall it was a comfortable and clean place to stay for a few nights

PPOCHENGThe hotel is close to Karasuma-oike station. However, if you have a luggage, it is easier to exit by elevator from Exit 5 and cross the road to the hotel.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. Space is decent for a family of 3.
We also liked that they have a common place at the lobby where we can eat or snack. They also offer coffee, water and other amenities (toothbrush, cotton buds, face wash etc) too.

Wwei.yThe location is good. The breakfast 90% same for continuous 2 days.
Room is slightly small but there is a two pax couch and a small movable table which i feel very convenient.
The only downside is there is a non local that can speak english guide us when we do check in.
I book the hotel 4 months ago and been try to write in and text the hotel requested my parents room and my room need to be same floor so that it is easy got me to take care of two old folks that dont know how to speak neither english or japanese.
However when do check in they assign us different floor and the staff told me that is it subject to availability which i dont agree with him.
After sometime he agree try to change a room for me and my parents room just 3 room beside me!!!

TTan Sek Linghis hotel is located at a perfect location in Kyoto, with the Kyoto Station being 2-5 minutes away depending on walking speed. There are many eateries and restaurants around the area, and the availability of various malls such as Aeon enhanced the experience we had staying in Miyako Hotel. Self check-in kiosks were used, and payment for foreign tax can be done seamlessly there. They have 2 different buildings in which the rooms are situated, which was unfortunate for my family as we were assigned rooms in each of the different buildings. However, the rooms were big and comfortable, and I was happy with the stay. While mineral water was not given for each day, they had a water dispenser in each level of the rooms, which made it convenient to obtain water. Vending machines are also available for those who prefer to get their own bottle of drink/mineral water. The staff were very friendly with any questions or requests and were fast with assistance for baggage storage. The only downside could be the lack of coin washing machines in the hotel itself, and the next nearest available public coin washing machine was located about 5-7 minutes away from the hotel itself. It is not easy to find and can be quite a hassle to actually do any sort of laundry unless you are willing to pay for the in-house laundry service. Overall, it is definitely recommended to choose Miyako.

GgzsylviaThe hotel is newly opened, with a very elegant design. It continues the Banyan Tree's usual wooden elements to give people a fresh and natural feeling. The rooms are spacious. I love the wooden private bath in the room the most. The hot spring spa is amazing. The hotel provides exquisite dinner and breakfast. Walking in the hotel's small garden in the morning and looking at the dense bamboo forest is very healing. The staff is warm and thoughtful, polite and meticulous, and the ceiling level
