The Hoshino Hot Spring is relatively large and famous in Karuizawa. It is open to the public at the hotel entrance (free for hotel guests). There is a smaller hot spring inside the hotel. Hotel guests can go there at any time by pressing the password. I went there to experience it. There were few people and the feeling of comfort was beyond words. The hotel is conveniently located at the end of the commercial street of the old Karuizawa. The hotel is located quite far from Karuizawa JR station. There is a pickup bus service every half an hour outside the south exit of the station. However the bus is very small and can be quite full at times, causing people to rush onto the bus. It would be better if the hotel could set up a better queue-up system or adjust the frequency of the pickup bus service. By the way you can deposit luggage at the customer centre next to the pickup bus stop and have them transferred to the hotel for you. I thought the hotel did not advertise the service enough as it is very useful and effective in creating more passenger space in the pickup bus. Breakfast at the hotel is not buffet style, so went to the Prince Karuizawa West hotel to have breakfast instead. During non-peak hours the hotel offers individual transportation for free so that is definitely a plus. The Momiji hot spring is definitely a must-visit. Clean, modern, hygienic, exactly what I look for in a hot spring. Overall service is excellent.

Hotel is in a great location, about 700m straightline walk from karuizawa train station. Room is compact but you have everything and is clean, amenities are provided at the lobby and you can take as needed, such as toner, cleanser and cream, hair brush, toothbrush, there's even body scrub. There's drinks provided for guests, you can have tea or coffee at all times. Hotel breakfast comes in brunch menu, food is nice and fresh. There's a also a lot of restaurants along this street so not to worry.

The second half of the journey also passed through an express highway, then went up the mountain road and walked to the navigation office. I couldn’t find the store and there was no one there😹 because there was only a Japanese brand. At the end the shop owner came out. The cabin is very warm, has kitchen equipment (you should buy some food), and has a hot spring to soak in. The view is great when you wake up in the morning.

The location is a little difficult to understand, but I think it's not bad because it's quietly built in a quiet area. The room was also very quiet and nice. (I can't hear the gayagaya in the next room at all. The parking lot was full, so it should have been crowded.) The width of the bed is quite narrow. (Sinner than a normal single. Bed size for long-term care) The bed mattress was good for an inn in this price range. The room fixtures were also well equipped. (If it's in place so far, I think it's better to display on the homepage that there are such things in the equipment in the room. There are also cheap inns in Karuizawa with quite a few equipment. On the other hand, if it is written properly, I think you don't have to bring unnecessary things!) There was a malicious trouble. When I went out to the outdoor bath at night and came back, the entrance to the inn was locked and closed outdoors. The front desk was usually unmanned and the front desk had an emergency contact number, so no one answered the phone even if I called that number. It was past 22:00 pm, so I was quite impatient whether I had already come home. When I called the representative phone such as a reservation, someone finally came out and unlocked it. .. I happened to have a cell phone and my cell phone battery remained, so I didn't have to spend the night in the car, but this is a trouble level that I should not do. If other guests at the hotel may accidentally close the key, I think they should at least put on an interphone. (There is also an intercom that does not require wiring and can be installed at a low price.) If you are a customer who cannot drive, at this time of year, it will also lead to freezing death. Isn't it necessary to have a little more sense of crisis? By the way, the key is usually 24 hours empty (there was no curfew). When I went out, I thought I would check if there was a curfew, but there was no extension phone at the reception, and I had to make an external phone call with my cell phone every time I checked, so I didn't check it because it was troublesome. I regretted that I left I have a memory. .. At least, why not install an extension phone or an intercom instead of letting the staff call at the receptionist use the customer's mobile phone? If a customer accidentally forgets his cell phone at home, it also leads to the fact that he cannot accept the reception. Hotel is very clean and not too far away from train station. Simple breakfast is provided. The staff not only cleans the table but also wipe the seat after a guest leaves. Of course, a different cloth is used to wipe the table and chair.

The best hotel on this trip! Although not cheap, Karuizawa was also expensive, so it was really good value for money! The room is large and the facilities are complete!
