The rooms and facilities were absolutely amazing! Each room had its own private indoor onsen, and the fridges were filled with various drinks. Bathroom amenities were beyond expectation, with face wash, lotion, etc all provided. The hotel provided free drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) in the lounge and garden in the afternoon. Dinner and breakfast were perfect! There was more food than we could finish, but the quality of each dish was spectacular. Leave time for a long breakfast because the food keeps coming. The hotel was also very accommodating in helping us forward our luggage to our next destination. It was the perfect place to relax and refresh. We stayed two nights but wished we stayed the whole week.

This hotel is definitely one for the bucket list! The service is excellent, and the food is delicious. They also offer a shuttle service to Karuizawa Station, with a polite driver and soft music playing in the car. My only minor complaint is that the hotel doesn't provide bicycle rentals, but you can easily find rental shops nearby.

The room was larger and more modern than I expected. The front desk staff were also very friendly. However, the room faced the hotel opposite, which made me feel like there wasn't much privacy, and there were quite a few bugs on the balcony. The shuttle bus schedule was very fixed with infrequent services, so we mainly relied on taxis. The breakfast options were very limited, and the coffee wasn't very good, which was a bit disappointing.

Overall, this was a rather disappointing hotel stay. Before our trip, our plans changed, and we asked the Trip.com concierge to help with cancellation/modifications. However, they were unyielding, and we couldn't cancel for free, so we had to proceed as planned. After checking in, I waited alone in the waiting area for a long time, expecting a staff member to accompany me to the room and explain the facilities. I waited for half an hour with no one attending to me. When a large group of tourists arrived, the front desk became crowded. After inquiring again, I was told there was no escort service to the rooms and I had to find my way myself. At 3:30 PM, housekeeping was still ongoing in the room areas. The room space was cramped, and the view was unremarkable. For a room rate of over 4,000 yuan, the hardware and service provided were far from satisfactory. The hotel's Italian restaurant had decent food, but it wasn't positioned as a high-end restaurant, and the wine list was very limited. The next day, I asked the front desk to call a taxi to the restaurant. For some reason, perhaps they didn't understand English, there was a long delay. After further communication, a car was arranged half an hour later, which was baffling. Considering all these experiences, I will not choose this hotel again in the future.

The Prince Hotel always maintains high-standard service quality and is the perfect choice for a trip to Karuizawa. The hotel environment is excellent, with picturesque views from the window. The breakfast, booked through Trip.com, was of superb quality, and dining with such a view was truly delightful. The shuttle bus makes it convenient to visit the hot springs, the station, or the outlet mall. You can spend the morning exploring attractions, the afternoon shopping at the outlet, and then return to the hotel for a relaxing hot spring bath in the evening. With temperatures just over 20 degrees Celsius, it's truly an excellent summer resort. Perfect!

Thank you very much! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and we really appreciated being able to borrow dishes and cutlery, as well as getting complimentary bottled water! The room was also very spacious and clean, which we were very happy with! The location right in the shopping street was also great! However, it was a shame that we couldn't open the curtains in our room even in the morning, as many people walk by and can easily see into the room from outside.

This was a really lovely trip. The staff here provided excellent service. As soon as the car pulled up at the hotel entrance, someone came right away to help with our luggage. We stayed for two nights and three days, and had breakfast twice — one Western-style and one Japanese-style. Both were delicious, though I personally preferred the Western breakfast. The public bath was also great. It was never crowded, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. Our room was spotlessly clean and well-kept. Compared with hotels in Hong Kong, this place offers really good value for money. That said, there was one slight downside. I found out the hotel was built over thirty years ago and only renovated a few years back. The rooms and in-room facilities still feel quite modern, but the corridors and lobby clearly show the building’s age and have barely been updated. You can definitely sense a hint of old charm here. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

This hotel is a quiet, tastefully decorated old villa. We stayed here and took the hotel's shuttle for skiing and shopping in the mornings. The arrangements were very well-organized. In the evenings, the hotel even gave marshmallows to the kids to roast over the fireplace. It's perfect for families.

Hotel Marroad is just a few minutes by the shuttle bus from the station , and it can also be reached on foot. We booked a room for 4 people and the room size is good at a very reasonable price (include breakfast). The fixtures are a bit old. However, the room and the amenities are very clean. We come to skiing and the hotel has a rental service (much cheaper than you rent at the ski field) which is very convenient. Also, they send us to ski field every day. Staff can speak little English, but they are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious, and it is a must try.

Absolutely impressed! It truly lives up to its reputation as a resort town – peaceful, beautiful, and with amazing views. The rooms were incredibly clean, the service was excellent, and the onsen was a perfect 100. The classic-style rooms were clean and cozy, with high-quality furniture. I would definitely return if I have the chance. Parking is free for those with cars, and the hotel also offers a shuttle service for train travelers. The food is high-quality, and the restaurant, rooms, onsen, and views are simply stunning.
