Petit séjour dans ma ville natale et superbe découverte de ce petit hôtel de neuf chambres dans un bâtiment datant du XVIII siècle vaut le détour, endroit sympa et atypique pour celui qui apprécie les bâtiments anciens, vielles pierres et bâtisses d’un autre temps, c’est endroit est fait pour vous. Avec tout le confort pour un agréable séjour. Je recommande pour les personnes nostalgiques qui ont envie de vivre une expérience différente des grands hôtels. Good points: Warm, friendly staff at the reception; clean, functional and sufficient WCs and shower areas on each floor; breakfast included (very basic with hot beverages, toasts and cereals, but with some fruits); fully functional kitchen and plenty of cozy space in the common areas to chill alone or in groups. Can be improved: dormitory beds were not very clean when I arrived (previous bed sheets were still on, and some sweets were left behind on the bed... though these might be a bit hard to control on the hostel's side). Other than that, there was not much else to complain. I had a very comfortable stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Liège on a budget. One thing to note: Location is a bit far off from the Liège-Guillemins station by foot: better to reach by bus.

The hotel is very quiet, good position. In view of the previous comment I'm glad we refused the room behind the llft & went instead to 306 at the end of the corridor. The staff are friendly & helpful & breakfast is fresh & varied. But the room ! Clearly the designer has never spent a night in it. Drab colours, black furniture & a dog's-mess-brown sash across the beds. The open bathroom may not be to everyone's taste ( it wasn't to ours ). The reading lights are recessed over a wide wooden ledge & just not strong enough to read in bed. The light switches are difficult to get at under the ledge. For those who like to shave, illumination is only available on forehead & the tip of the nose : the rest is in shadow. Possibly the toughest challenge was blocking the water in the basin : there is no plug. Perhaps there is, in the elaborate high-tech tap fitment. If so, neither reception nor housekeeping, both appealed to, knew anything about it. Finally shoved a hand -towel into the plughole, just like the bad old days in Eastern Europe. Take your own
