The Hotel was our base for an escorted tour on the Golden pass train. What a wonderful location, our room was extremely spacious and wonderful views of the surrounding area. Exceptional restaurant staff very hard working,if there was a down side I'm afraid there wasn't a lot of choice in our evening meals.Our room was serviced every day and was spotless. Remember in Switzerland it's a different plug adapter not the usual European, we purchased ours before we went and took our travel kettle. These were available to loan from restaurant with a deposit which is returned at the end of the holiday. We went to many different experiences, Gueyer cheese factory, chocolate factory ,Interlaken, Bern,Montreux to name a few but our highlights were Glassier 3000 spectacular views especially over the bridge with excellent café. But the top of the list was The Golden pass train, wow from Chateau-D'oex to Interlaken one day then Chateau-D'oex to Montreux, the last journey the carriage was classed as Belle Epoqe.Another couple of tips in resort there is a local supermarket in town but don't forget you're in Switzerland so it's a 10 minute walk uphill depending on how you walk. Also the film star David Niven had a home there and is buried in the local Cemetery. Chateau-D'oex is renowned for hot air ballooning and the orbiter is in the town. All in all a spectacular Golden holiday

We stayed for 2 nights in mid-May 2023. The hotel is just a five to seven minute walk from the Saanan Train Station and one station before Gstaad, if you come from Geneva, as we did. We reached around 9 pm in the evening and were allotted room 21, which is the room with the balcony on the 2nd floor; ( you will notice from the hotel photo), is perhaps one of the best rooms, being a corner room with balcony and lovely views. The dinner was just a vegan burger and a salad. Adequate. The bedrooms were entirely timbered, comfortable with sufficient storage and in-room heating from a radiator, placed under the front window. Toilet was a bit small and no bathroom slippers were provided. We requested but was told as it was a 3 star property, hence they did not provide it. Breakfast was the usual continental, with the hot items being only boiled eggs and choice of coffee/tea. Rest was cold meat, fruit, cereals, cheese and bread. Not the best which we have had, but acceptable. A few more hot choices especially in the eggs choice or sausages would have helped. There was only 1 lady who was looking after the breakfast area, the restaurant and the reception. Perhaps, because of low occupancy. However, what I wish to compliment the hotel staff about, was their help and co-operation in forwarding some clothes which we had mistakenly left behind. We connected with the hotel the very evening after we left and they confirmed that they had them. Their cost was not much but they had an emotional connect with us. We asked them to keep them with them till we could decide the way forward. As luck would have it, some family members are visiting Switzerland at the time of writing this review (in early July 2023) and staying for a few days in Bern. The staff, on our request, packed and sent the stuff to the Bern hotel after coordinating with the Bern hotel, on phone. They never asked us for any payment though we were willing to pay for it. This is outstanding customer service.

Super-expected hotel, less than 3000 with breakfast and dinner, and very rich, that is, the room is small, the bathroom is very small, only bath and shower, there is parking lot, the hotel is in the town next to gstaad, drive to gstaad for a few minutes, This area is so beautiful that it is worth visiting because the hotel has no restaurant in the off-season. It is a very worthwhile place and the supplies are average. It is not a luxury hotel after all.

Le Grand Bellevue is a gracious and elegant hotel with a gorgeous backdrop of the surrounding mountain vista - a perfect place to experience the Swiss countryside in the picturesque Saanen area of the Bern canton. The hotel is well located right at the entrance to the main village street which is pedestrian only. Lovely restaurants and shopping boutiques! We stayed for 3 nights in September and absolutely loved this hotel. Our room was delightful and comfortable with a spacious, beautiful bathroom. Spectacular views can be enjoyed from any hotel in Gstaad, but the best feature of this hotel is definitely the staff, who were all so warm, friendly and professional and go above and beyond to make your stay as wonderful as possible. A special commendation for the ever present and obliging concierge, Olivier, who is a multilingual phenomenon - always ready to help and made arrangements for dinner bookings, taxis, whatever we needed. Right from before our arrival, we were contacted by staff to ensure everything we needed for our stay could be anticipated and any prior arrangements made for us. We can't say how impressed we were with the top quality service, professionalism of the amazing staff at this 5-star, boutique hotel in Gstaad! We hope to return sometime. My room was located at the side of the hotel, overlooking the river. It was delightful to open my balcony door and hear the sound of running water filling my room (to be clear it was the sound that came into my room, not the water itself). Inside, the room was spacious and had a style sitting somewhere between Scandinavian and Swiss alpine. The hotel is on the edge of town and provides ready access to the surrounding countryside, including a pathway by the aforementioned river. I had both lunch and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The food and service were good and there is a nice outdoor area to dine in, weather permitting. All of the staff that I encountered at the hotel were professional and welcoming. All in all, I had a very pleasant stay in charming Gstaad.

Amazing newly renovated and in best location in Gstaad! Great room and views! Staff were super friendly - Ivan and all in reception. Very helpful and made us and everything feel good.

The couple who own and rent the chalet are amazing. Really handful and happy people. I really felt at home as it is a little house guest. Great views and very close to the town! I will definitely come back and I highly recommend it!!!
