"Came to Jakarta 2 Sept-5 Sept, just rightly after the rally ended. In Medan, the rally just begun though. So I purposely chose this hotel which is located at Tanah Abang, avoiding the busy Thamrin City or Grand Indonesia area (it is still along the road anyways)
The room was huge, clean, the hospitality was 💯! It is very much closer to Tanah Abang (shopping place) and Blok M Square (viral food) and I literally walked to Tanah Abang (500m away).
Plus point the hotel has the weight scale to weigh your luggage, but the food was mehhhh.
Overall, loved my stay!"

"This was my first hotel in Jakarta and I’m so glad I booked it. The staff is so kind and accomodating, they really went above and beyond to meet my requests for an HDMI cord and room service. I got an executive room, and it was spacious, but I kind of expected it to be a little bigger for the price I paid.
Their whirlpool and sauna are AMAZING and I definitely recommend anyone that’s visiting to try it. I had a lot of privacy while enjoying their amenities, but the staff made sure to give me the full experience anyway and attended to all my needs.
I think there were ongoing renovations when I visited so booking via Grab was a little difficult. Booking their Main Lobby as the pinned location was way easier via Gojek— less cranky drivers that need to reroute this way."

"The front desk there has very good hospitality with warm greeting and smile. As well provide you and suggest you options and do not push you. Thumbs up for their front desk. we do not request for house keeping, and eventually they call and approach us to check if we need any amenities, which surprise us with their good service. The hotel has a layer of securities where they will check the car/taxi entering their premises, which make me feel safe. If you wish to buy some groceries , there are some mart out there which is walking distance, but pls do expect the road is not so proper to walk at the roadside as there are a lot of cars and motorcycles.. The room come with kitchen where we can do simple cooking (provided u have the groceries).. I will stay back the same hotel if I back to Jakarta again .."

"We had a pleasant 3-night stay at Ashley Tanah Abang. The service was friendly and attentive throughout, making us feel very welcome. The room was comfortable and clean, and overall the stay was smooth and enjoyable. Not to mention the free capsules for the in-room coffee machine was very interesting and we loved it. Except for the service in breakfast that was less polished, the lounge staff were professional and efficient. I was very surprised by the thoughtful gift and numerous birthday cakes surprised me. Very sweet team!

TTina MutalibWe had a pleasant 4-night stay at Park Royal Serviced Suites Jakarta. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, which made our stay feel even more comfortable. The room was clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated the overall service.
The breakfast spread, while not offering a huge variety, had just enough options to satisfy us. What we really liked is that the menu changed daily, so it didn’t feel repetitive at all.
One thing we felt was missing was a kids’ playroom or more activities for children within the hotel. It would have been great to have more kid-friendly facilities, especially for families staying longer.
Overall, it was a great experience and we’d definitely consider staying again!

A helpful tip: when booking an online taxi, make sure to confirm you've selected the correct Fraser Menteng location, as there's another Fraser hotel in Jakarta. We actually made the mistake of choosing the wrong destination once!

CClen DavidWe recently stayed at a hotel in Jakarta for a short getaway. While there were some enjoyable aspects, a few issues did affect the overall experience.
The positives:
The location is definitely a plus. It’s conveniently close to downtown and many key spots in the city, making it easy to get around whether by car or short walks.
The food was excellent. There was an impressive variety of dishes available throughout the day—everything from local Indonesian fare to international comfort food. The breakfast spread in particular stood out, both in quality and variety. The ambience of the breakfast area was also lovely—bright, open, and relaxing.
The pool was another highlight: clean, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing in the afternoon or early evening.
Where it fell short:
The room itself was just okay. It had a strong smell of fresh paint that extended throughout the hallway and into the room, which was unpleasant and hard to ignore. We had requested a room with a view in advance, but were told upon check-in that the hotel was fully booked, so we were assigned a room with no view.
Additionally, the bathroom had a noticeable odor that persisted during our stay. Thankfully, we were able to manage it by keeping the exhaust fan running most of the time, but it’s something the hotel should definitely address.
Final thoughts:
Overall, the hotel has a lot of potential thanks to its food, facilities, and location. But the comfort of the room and attention to maintenance need improvement. With a few changes, it could easily offer a much better guest experience.

The room felt rather small and did not provide the level of comfort I expected. On top of that, the pillows were too firm, which affected sleep quality, and the towels felt thin compared to the luxury standard usually associated with Pullman.
I believe enhancing room spaciousness (or allocating more suitable rooms for families), offering pillow choices, and providing thicker towels would greatly improve the overall guest experience.

JJettLamstayed at Yuan Garden Pasar Baru Hotel during my trip to Jakarta and it turned out to be a really pleasant experience. The location is excellent—it’s right in Central Jakarta, so I could easily walk to Pasar Baru for some shopping and local food, and big landmarks like Istiqlal Mosque and the Cathedral were just a short ride away. Having the train station nearby was also convenient for exploring other parts of the city.
