I paid extra to have a room with nice view, but when I arrived I saw streaks of dirt on the window that spoiled the whole view. I called the concierge to ask for a room change or to clean the windows, but the concierge said that this dirt is outside of the window and all windows have it so they can’t help me with room change or clean it. Also when I went to the sauna, I was told that the sauna was under renovation and would not work for several days. Next time I will stay at another hotel.

This hotel is part of the Empire chain, situated just beside another hotel from the same chain. It feels like a typical 4-5 star hotel, which is super. The bed came with soft and hard pillows, the bed was super comfortable, the toilet was big and clean. Honestly, no qualms about the room and physical aspects of the hotel.
The stay also came with a free afternoon tea which was a buffet, which is really nice, and also lounge access on the 30th floor (both of which are in the sister hotel next door).
What I found kind of annoying though was that despite the free amenities above, the hotel does not give any bottled water nor shaving kits or any amenities in the name of going green. I mean sure, I’m an advocate for going green, but surely everyone still needs to drink water, no? Maybe provide a reusable bottle and a water dispenser somewhere, that might be better than not providing any water at all. To their credit though, they do have a vending machine on the ground floor that serves drinks and amenities at a price.

Got upgraded to a higher tier room by the reception.
Super convenience location to access Hung Hom, East TST and TST places, the bus stop to airport is around 60 meters far from the hotel entry, very easy to catch an airport bus. Beautiful view out of the breakfast restaurant.

Got it! Here’s the refined review:

My recent stay at Empire Hotel in Wan Chai was a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff provided warm and attentive service, always available to help with questions or local recommendations.
The room was modern, clean, and very comfortable, with quality bedding that made for a restful sleep. I appreciated the thoughtful details, which made the stay even more pleasant, and the views from the higher floors were a nice bonus, giving a lovely glimpse into Wan Chai's vibrant atmosphere.
The location of Empire Hotel is ideal—it’s close to public transportation and within walking distance of a variety of restaurants, shops, and local attractions. Even though I didn’t opt for the breakfast buffet, there are plenty of great cafes and eateries nearby, so finding a meal was easy and enjoyable.
Overall, Empire Hotel in Wan Chai is a great choice for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service in Hong Kong. Highly recommended!

convenient location and excellent and very polite staff attitude. Especially the last one makes a big big difference.
Be aware, you CAN'T open the windows in the room. Also, the internet connection is limited to 4 devices, meaning you need to ask at the reception to obtain an extra code to keep connected. A cumbersome policy.
The size of the room is really just just right. Very very tight for 2 people but well structured. On the negative side, noise insulation, practically, doesn't exist. If people in rooms around you take a shower, you can hear the running water. Imagine if they do that in the middle of the night. You simply wake up waiting for them to finish shower. Air-conditioning is also quite loud.

We had a great experience during our stay in Dorsett Wanchai. We enjoyed the very comfy bed and best view on the 25th floor, which was given as a complimentary gift since one of us is celebrating her birthday, plus a bottle of wine as a gift. The only thing is that we are four pax and two pax need to check out early so they cannot take breakfast, so we just requested a breakfast box for them to bring since it is very expensive in Hong Kong and a breakfast box would be good, especially for those who need to go early in the morning. The receptionist said that their breakfast is only for
dine-in and there is no option for takeout or breakfast boxes. I suggest that since you are a
four point five-star hotel, you should have an option for breakfast boxes since all guests are paying for breakfast, anyway its fine and just a suggestion.
But all the staff are very accommodating, and it was a memorable experience for us.
Thank you🥰

AAlicia Chi YingMy partner and I chose W Hong Kong to have a night of staycation to celebrate our anniversary and we have an absolute amazing stay in there. Here’s a big thankyou to Rene and Immanuel and their team that create this loving experience during our stay starting from the moment I arrived where Rene ask if there’s any occasion for this stay and once she acknowledged that it was me and my partners anniversary celebration she kindly upgraded us from the originally room that I booked which was the wonderful King room to the spectacular king room with a lovely view also offered us white wine for our celebration as well as the 3pm late check out. W Hong Kong occasion team definitely made our anniversary special and also memorable, and will definitely come back for another stay in the future🤍

CCodyroasterHotel is very beautiful and good design, especially interior very luxury and comfortable. Function of furniture is great and light is very good. View from my room is fantastic. Food is good, especially breakfast buffet. The desert cafe downstair is wonderful.
However, the service is very poor. People who work and clean at my floor has such a bad manner. Hotel should educate your people. how manner should be, how polite should be , how helpful should have. You should teach your people to be gentle to guest.

Upon arrival the rec eption were extremely helpful and polite and even upgraded us to a lovely suite with an absolutely stunning view! The location is really convenient and the Botanical gardens and zoological park is about 300 metres walk. There is a convenient store nearby as wel as restaurants if you don't wish to dine at the hotel. The swimming pool has an incredible view too! Definitely recommend

AAnonymous UserAll the hotel staff are extremely hospitable, professional, and polite. However, that is the only positive aspect of the hotel. The property is very basic and desperately in need of renovation. On the travel app, it is advertised as one of the top 20 most Instagrammable hotels in Hong Kong, but I have no idea what one would photograph.
The swimming pool on the 27th floor was locked, but through the door, I could see that it was very small and shallow—unsuitable even for children. The location is right next to a street market, which can get extremely crowded.
Breakfast, advertised as a semi-buffet, was very simple and below average. This review is directed at IHG, as they should seriously consider renovating the property. The staff are doing their best, but as it stands, this is hardly a 4-star hotel.
I initially chose it because of my previous stay at Indigo Bangkok, which was a much better experience.

GGuest UserI was flying between New Zealand and the UK and decided to stop in Hong Kong for a few days to break up the journey. Given my early arrival and knowing I’d be exhausted, I booked a stay at the Regal Airport Hotel, which turned out to be a perfect choice. The hotel is conveniently connected to the airport, with an indoor walkway straight from arrivals to the reception. This was especially helpful as there was a tropical storm outside!
The staff were incredibly accommodating and even helped me plan my time in the city. On my first day, I took the high-speed train into Hong Kong, which only took about 15 minutes. The next day, I opted for the bus, which took a bit longer—around an hour—but was a great way to see the city along the way.
My room was immaculate, with a great view overlooking the runways and terminal. If you’re a fan of airplanes, it’s a perfect spot to watch planes take off and land. The room also featured a deep bathtub with a glass panel and curtain, allowing me to enjoy the view of planes while relaxing in the bath—a unique and enjoyable touch!
Breakfast was a pleasant experience, with friendly staff and a good selection. However, I did notice a difference in service between weekdays and weekends. During the week, the breakfast room was busier, newspapers were available, and the food was constantly refreshed. On the weekend, there were fewer staff and newspapers, and I had to request refills for breakfast items that were routinely replenished during the week.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay. The location is unbeatable, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on future visits to Hong Kong.
