Sticking to my principle of 'new over old,' I ultimately chose this hotel in the city center. 'The Nest,' newly opened in 2025, cost only 1700+ for 3 nights during the off-peak season – incredible value for money!

📍 **Location**
It's about an 18-minute walk to Kokusai Dori, and roughly a 5-minute walk to Asahibashi monorail station. Naha Bus Terminal is about a 10-minute walk away. The transportation is very convenient, which is a huge plus for us since we couldn't drive.

🛌 **Room Amenities**
We booked a triple room. One of the beds was a sofa bed, allowing two adults and one child to sleep undisturbed. The bathroom had a three-way separation design with a shower area – it was my first time staying in a Japanese hotel without a bathtub! 😂 The room's downsides were, firstly, no wardrobe, just a hanging rack, and secondly, only a small coffee table, so storage space was very limited.

🏊 **Hotel Facilities**
There's an open-air swimming pool on the hotel's top floor, with drinks offered at specific times. It was too cold for us to try it out, but it seems many people choose this hotel specifically for the pool.

🧩 **Nearby Facilities**
There are three convenience stores nearby – Lawson and 7-Eleven – making it very convenient to stock up on snacks. The famous Jack's Steak House is also in the vicinity.

📝 **Other Notes**
When checking in, they provided amenities for children (toothbrush, toothpaste, and a scrubbing sponge 🧽). We stayed for three nights in total, and housekeeping services were not provided for those three nights. Every day before heading out, we'd leave our trash and used towels outside our door for collection. When we returned, fresh towels and water would be waiting for us at the door.

The location was good. Walkable to Makishi Public Market, Naminoue Shinto Shrine, Prefectual Office and some other sightseeing places. Very easily find eatery or restaurants around hotel. Next to the hotel is a very nice bbq restaurant Yakiniku King Naha Kumoji.

This is a great hotel located near Asahibashi Station. If you're staying for multiple nights, they provide housekeeping service starting from the second day. The room's soundproofing is excellent, so it's not noisy at all. It comes with a bathtub, which is wonderful for a relaxing soak after a long day of walking. Since I was staying alone in a double room, I felt the space was quite adequate.

The hotel location os really good. 

The receptionist checked our room before we checked in, but we later noticed a few issues.
The room was on the 8th floor, above the car park level, with views of the surrounding area and a glimpse of the ocean.
The room was spacious. A fridge, kettle, mugs, glasses, coffee, an ice bucket, and toothbrushes with toothpaste were all provided in the room.
It was convenient to check into the hotel after 10 pm.
The problem with the room was the large amount of dust on the air conditioning unit and the walls, as well as traces of dust and mould.
We would ask the staff to pay more attention to cleanliness.

Lovely stay in Hiroshima. It’s only a few stops away from the main train station and offers breakfast for free in the main floor (7-10am) which was very convenient. The rooms felt spacious after tokyo and the beds were confortable. Recommendable if you are staying more than one night or plan on having a late night around nakaregawa dori.

This was my second stay at The Next Hotel. They have two locations in Hiroshima, and I've stayed at both. I definitely prefer this one over the one closer to the city center. The service here is excellent, and the staff are really friendly. They even provide a BALMUDA pour-over kettle, which shows they really put thought into their amenities. Unfortunately, I missed breakfast because I overslept. Overall, it's a really great hotel.

This hotel offers a fantastic overall experience. Its convenient location makes getting around and finding places to eat incredibly easy. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing for a very peaceful night's rest. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making both check-in and check-out efficient. Housekeeping was thorough, and the facilities were well-maintained, offering great value for money. It's a generally quiet and cozy place to stay, and I felt very comfortable. I'd definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit and highly recommend it to anyone traveling.

We (4 pax) stayed for 3 nights in Oct 2025. Took a bus from Tokyo Station and walked about 5 mins before reaching the hotel. The lady at the front counter allowed us to check in early, which was great.

We booked 2 rooms with 2 single beds. It was smaller then what we had imagined, but still comfortable. The power outlet near the right bed was covered in masking tape and we had to use the power outlet near the left bed. There was an air purifier placed just below the TV , which takes up space along with the small table.

Bed was comfortable but i find the pillow too soft for me. Managed to get a good sleep but sometimes you can hear noise from the road just behind the hotel, which can be quite frustrating if you are a light sleeper.

Since the room was small and we have 2 x 26 inch luggages, we can only open 1 luggage at a time along the corridor, which makes it inconvenient when one of us needs to use the toilet because the door opens outwards. 

Small toilet but no weird smell, which is a plus point. Maybe it is also because it is a relatively new building.

Housekeeping ensures that the room was well cleaned and always refill 2 bottles of drinking water and disposable slippers.

The hotel provides free breakfast such as mini cupcakes, croissants etc. There are mini ovens available to heat up the pastries so you can enjoy it warm. There is also a coffee machine with various options such as latte, americano etc. Can’t complain much about the taste since it’s free.

Overall i would consider booking this hotel again due to its location and relatively new facilities , but the small room size may not be suitable for people who are of bigger size.
