We arrived at the Waterfront Motel in Blenheim New Zealand and were pleasantly surprised to discover that the Motel was attached to a Hotel. Bingo! The weather had turned inclement and rain was most welcome to the thirsty soil in the districe. It rained for three days, the whole time we were there. It didn't dampen our spirits because we were warmly welcomed by the host Lisa and the hotel staff and we felt like a part of their family. Everyone was wonderful. Our room was large, very comfortable and warm. the hotel was a very short walk from our room. The menu was imaginitive, well presented, full of old fashioned home cooked flavour and delicious. The beer was cold, the Marlborough wine choices were excellent. Nothing was ever any trouble to them. The bar staff remembered our drink choices, our names and wanted to know about us!! We were just two little 80 plus year olds holidaying on their magnificent Island and we were treated as if we were very important people, not just a number in the rank and file of travellers who passed their way. . A big shout out and THANK YOU to Lisa and the staff at Waterfont Motel Blenheim.
The location is just next to saymour Square, it is very convenient to walk to the town center, the typical British red brick exterior wall structure, the service staff is very friendly. The room is large, the breakfast is expensive, and the room does not have free drinking water and toiletries. It is very convenient to travel to several famous wineries.
We might have had the best room in the motel. so spacious and well decorated with my favorite red in the comfortable furnishings and situated right next to a beautiful, burbling brook looking like a mini botanical garden. The pool, tucked among shady trees and masses of colorful flowering shrubs was wonderfully refreshing for daily laps. The bed was excellent with just the right comforter, and the fridge was the best I've found in a motel along with an easy to work microwave. The kitchen was perfectly equipped and meals were so pleasant on the elegant glass dining table. The huge bathroom was a treat as well with a fine shower and big window. We enjoyed the sunny, breezy private patio too, perfect for quickly drying swimsuits, and washing bits. We couldn't have had a nicer stay!

The hotel is located in the downtown area of Blenheim, the capital of Marlborough Province, the famous white wine producing region of New Zealand. It is within 10 minutes walking distance from Blenheim railway station, bus station or downtown square. There are plenty of parking spaces in the hotel square, which is very convenient for walking and driving. The hotel rooms have a wide view and beautiful scenery. Although the rooms are a bit old, all the facilities and bedding are very tidy, clean and comfortable. All the staff are smiling, patient and enthusiastic. The hotel offers three meals a day, the menu is not extensive, but the food quality and taste are excellent. We stayed for two days. The experience was excellent and the price/performance ratio was very high. Going to a hotel not to be missed in Blenheim, highly recommended!
Customer service and communication was excellent, the room was spacious and exceeded expectations, it had everything I needed to have a comfortable stay for the two weeks I was in Blenheim for work. It is a very short distance walk from the supermarket, restaurants and other stores in the centre of the town which makes it in a very convenient location. I will definitely be staying here again the next time I am in Blenheim.
Have stayed here for several years with a group on an annual trip. - Staff great & very welcoming, very comfortable beds. Swimming pool & large outdoor area for relaxing. Close enough to walk to town but also supermarket, takeaways & pub etc nearby.
Stayed for one night and overall it was quite comfortable. Although it is not in the center of town, it is only ten minutes' walk from the intercity station and train station, and a few minutes' walk is the commercial area. If you don’t have much luggage, you can walk there. The kitchen can be used for cooking and is very clean. In the camping area behind the hotel, you can take a walk after dinner and study various RVs, which is an eye-opener.
Blenheim is too young. I learned that there are no buses on weekends after I arrived. The popular museums and chocolate factories in the area are far away without driving. It took me 70 minutes to get to the museum. Fortunately, an employee of the museum sent me back to the hotel after get off work, otherwise I would have to go all the way back.

First of all Motel is spotless with great interior, Full bottles shampoo, conditioner and body wash not just one use option, lollies in a jar, many channels on TV, close to town, Very accommodating staff, But icing on cake they let a staff member leave a vehicle at the motel for a whole month as we couldn’t get it on the ferry. I arrive to finally pick up van and catch ferry and they had made sure the started it often so battery wouldn’t be flat. We always use this motel for our business but this is the first time I personally have stayed , I was blown away, Thanks Aston Court

DDenese RLinda immediately made us feel welcome and gave us some suggestions of places to visit locally and on the South Island. The accommodation was scrupulously clean and very well laid out. It was like a home from home Laundrette was very handy even an iron set up ready to use There was a lovely fenced area with a pool, tables, chairs in a shaded area and some grass in the sunshine Thank you both, we had a great couple of days enjoying ourselves All the best Neil & Denese
Top notch accommodation, we attended for a football tournament as a group of 71 and couldn't fault grove park. The kids & family had a wonderful time. Marie was a 10/10 host. Pool was an added bonus. Rooms were amazing and well equipped. Shower has excellent pressure Bed and pillows were comfortable Two tvs in our room both with sky & movies. Kitchen had everything and more. Outdoor chairs were a great touch. Pool was perfect after a hot day Great layout for our group. Washing facilities were easy to use. Shared kitchen had everything and more. Could not fault our stay here. Marie, thank you for everything we throughly enjoyed it and as a group would be back in a heartbeat if we ever have a tournament up there again.
We were looking for accommodation to break our trip south that would allow our dog to stay. I found the Phoenix Motor Inn online and am very pleased I did. Reservation was easy, stress free and reasonably priced taking into account the additional cleaning required. The unit was modern , bright and very clean. Good facilities within the unit , a laundry (which I used) and a small pool (which we didn’t use) however, it looked lovely. While close to a busy road it was very quiet. Supermarket, service station and restaurants within walking distance. Overall I would definitely recommend this Motor Inn.
JJohannesWe arrived very late at the hotel and have a very nice room on the 3rd floor.
A late check out was possible.
We liked it very well and if we were to go through it again, we would book it again at any time.
Thank you very much
GGuest UserOur expectations were exceeded. We had like a mini apartment with every facility that could possibly need. Plenty of utensils to make a small meal. The everything was very clean. A guest laundry on site. A fab pool although sadly we didn’t get time to use it. Excellent value for money. Room service was offered every day. Staff all lovely.
Some nice art work and flashes of colours in the decor. Kitchen very well set up with good sized fridge, sharp knives and salt and pepper shakers to make you feel at home. Linen and pillows were good quality and the room was sparklingly clean. Access was through a glass door in a glass wall that also had a window and next to that was the first floor balcony. So unless we had the block out curtains closed privacy was an issue and when they were closed we stopped the balcony lighting but also any breeze from the door or window Lucky there were two windows in the bedroom and one in the bathroom Eco friendly soap dispensers and quality tea and coffee as well as fresh milk provided We were comfortable in the room and the staff were very helpful and friendly
GGuest UserWe were greeted very warmly by Julie, she was very friendly and provided us with lots of information. The rooms themselves are small, but very clean and what looks like nearly new carpet. Amenities provided are good, the shower pressure is amazing and the towels are wonderful. The bed was a little hard and the room was quite noisy. We were awoken by a car alarm in the early hours and a motorbike at dawn. Could also hear people talking downstairs and next door. The entry to the room was a glass sliding door, which felt a little disconcerting to be so open to people outside, but this was more perception than reality as there was a curtain attached to the door. The location is excellent as it was easy walking distance to the centre of Blenheim.
HHAIPENGTake advantage of the extreme of motel, single-story guest rooms, the car parked at the main entrance, you can live immediately, there are large supermarkets and restaurants within 5-10 minutes. Generally speaking, it is the first choice for a one-night self-driving tour. The facilities and services are not the advantage of motel, but this one is also relatively comfortable. You can just buy some materials from the supermarket and simply cook. Please be reminded that it’s best not to cook Chinese food because the condiments should be prepared
