"I used to go to Milan and live in this brand hotel, the service is good. It takes about a walk to the old town 15-20 minutes. It is very convenient to go to the city center by bus downstairs. About 2-3 Station distance, there are also food and small bars near the hotel.
🔔 Service: The front desk was very intimate and gave the baby a set of baby showers. The front desk also sent the baby a bear.
🧹 Health: The room is large and clean. Our room is more than 30 square meters.
🚗 Traffic: Downstairs bus hotel on the main road of bilbao because the city is not big. A few steps forward and there is a subway."

"We had a very comfortable stay in Hotel Carlton. It’s my third time to stay there. The location is fantastic. The whole experience is special. The rooms are very spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room are very much appreciated. The little bar is nice for a nightcap after a night out. "It's the second time you hosted me in this accommodation, it's very comfortable, near the metro, the attention is incredibly kind, the rooms are usually very large, clean and modern, the only thing, This time I had to pick up a single room since nothing left, the bed though already pony that is a single ... I think it would be amazing that it was a little bigger than 80cm, missing a large body towel, The dressing table is the coffee table.. which made it impossible to hang your clothes as long jackets and boil the water ... I recommend you to change the site or the coffee table and boiler or the dressing table, for the rest all right."

"The location is very good, I feel that this is a veteran five-star hotel with a strong Basque style design. The suite I stayed in, the room was large, the view was good, and there was a garage in the ground. Maybe the room is not new enough, but it is well maintained. Next to the park, walk to the Basque Museum for 5 minutes and Guggenheim for 10 minutes. I recommend."

"Top location! All right to walk.
The reception is friendly and efficient.
Nice modern large rooms.
Unfortunately, the clothes were partly on the minibar. We had not enough room for the clothes.
The difficult thing was, however, a clever smell from the canalization in the shower every morning at 7:00. We had the feeling we had to vomit. We told the reception and she thought the Putzdame would throw something into the shower. It would be better, but it would not be optimal."

GGuest UserWhat a great hotel! Across the board we were blown away by how perfect this hotel made our stay.
The staff - ALWAYS helpful and fun and professional.
The room - Beautiful, large double bed for us was more than adequate and a large room.
Bathroom - Great size and LARGE tub and shower with TONS of water pressure.
Location - Bilbao is one of the most walkable cities, but the hotel is right at the edge of the river so 10 min to Guggenheim and 5 min to the old town.
Breakfast - We had breakfast a couple times and the beans and eggs were my staple. The eggs were off the first visit, but the second visit they were much better. Bacon and pastries were tasty and the cream cheese with herbs was a treat.
We will be back for sure. You won't be disappointed by staying here.

GGuest UserIt's a nice hotel. Everything you need is there. Good city part around. But the devil was hidden in the details.
1) Upon checking in, I discovered hair from a trimmed beard in the shampoo holder on the sink (while I was yelling and running around in circles my partner had just rinsed it off).
2) Centuries of dust on the shelf and TV.
3) The clock on March 01, 2024 is still set one hour ahead. at 8:40pm I get dressed and run out to a meeting by 9pm. which as it later turns out will be in 1.20 minutes. Answer: the technician is no longer at the hotel today, we will let him know. March 04, 2024, at the time of our departure, the clock is still showing the wrong time.
And I thought: ”ok we can live with that”. BUT
3) The room is hot, it's really hot. We Germans and so used to sleep at +17 degrees at night (save money energy and its healthy))). Also my the partner does not tolerate the heat at all (Also if you have age changes or something else... It could be horror). The answer from the hotel: ”It's winter, the air conditioner only works for heating”. This we find out after we have been ”cooling” for a day and a half (but the hotel description has 138 rooms with air conditioning!?).
4) We get a fan to cool down.
5) I discover that the sheets are 50 percent and the pillows are 52 percent synthetic. ((at this point, I realize why they are so sweaty and sweltering to sleep in. I know its subjective).
This hotel recived 3 out of 5 in my rating.
P.S.: The glasses were not washed perfectly (it's just gazpacho, not oil paint and black tea)
The toilet paper holder is positioned so that you hit it with your butt every time you sit down on the toilet, and when you sit down it rests on your chest

GGuest UserThe stay was generally pleasant. The rooms are quite simple, and the soundproofing could be improved, as you can clearly hear what's happening in the adjoining rooms. One night, for example, we could clearly hear the conversation of the man in the room next door.
As for the room, it doesn't stand out in any particular way. One thing that catches your attention upon entering is the smell, which is quite noticeable at first, although you eventually get used to it. I suspect it's coming from the curtains.
The hotel is well located, in a very quiet area. However, if you plan to get around on foot, keep in mind that the return journey can be somewhat challenging due to the hills. The great advantage of its location is that it's easily accessible from anywhere without having to go through the city center, as it is very well connected to highways and main roads.
The breakfast deserves a special mention: very complete, with a wide variety and quality products.

ちちゃんみらI stayed here for one night on my way to San Seba. It was incredibly convenient, directly connected to the International Station, where the bus to San Seba departs. It was also just a few minutes from San Mame Stadium. The museum and the city center are within walking distance, about a 20-30 minute walk. The facilities are very clean and wheelchair accessible, with amenities and a welcome drink included, which was very helpful. It might be quite expensive during soccer season, but otherwise it's great value for money.

However, there's one detail that could be clearer: the hotel advertises ”private parking,” but in reality, it's a public city parking lot located about 450 meters away. It costs €20 per day, and there is no parking directly at the hotel. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to know in advance.

WWHYhuwaWhen booking, I specifically looked for a relatively new hotel. There is a subway downstairs. ** compatriots can go to San Mame Stadium to watch the game in three subway stops. The British Palace Mall is across the road. It only takes 10 minutes to walk to the old town. It is very convenient. The hotel does not have a parking lot. The public parking lot is a little more than 10 minutes away. There are many restaurants and cafes around, which is super convenient for eating.

WWalt from LAOverall good experience, good stay, good price, good sized room. Location was good. Beds were comfortable and not too small. Room was basic but we knew that going in. There was a microwave wave and fridge. It took us a while to figure out the air conditioning but it worked. There wasn’t soap in the bathroom. Some issues were that it being a dorm it didn’t have things that you would find in a hotel room like a blow dryer or cups. So we could heat water in microwave but we had to buy cups to hold the water in. If we had access to a kettle or a blow dryer or mugs, even paying to rent one would have made things easier. The laundry room did not accept coins so we had to download an app to wash our chonies. I’m not sure giving some app my credit info to be able to clean my chonies was worth it.
