"I think this was a really nice hotel. Comfortable bed and room. I really liked the desk and chair. Good breakfast. The only thing I didn't like is that unlike most other hotels, when leaving the room you need to lock the door yourself by swiping the keycard on the lock. The location is a bit remote, but on the other hand this is a great "base camp" if you're planning to hike Mt Ulriken for example. And the walk to the city center is only 30 min or so."

Furthermore, during our entire four-night stay, our room was never cleaned. I actually had to fetch fresh towels and change the bedsheets myself."

Breakfast was busy and the food was just okay with limited options. The door lock was frustrating because it didn’t always lock right away. One of the elevators felt a bit unsafe and almost got stuck. Overall, it’s a decent hotel but needs some improvements."

Gave a 4 for amenities, only because the conditioner needed to be refilled and the sauna was not accessible the day I was there, very minor issues."

"1. Hostel/hotel; 2. Extremely poor service. They gave me an incorrect password, and after the staff opened the door, they didn't leave the key behind. Even if you had the key, it was useless because the lock couldn't be locked. 3. The elevator was broken; you had to climb to the 3rd floor. 4. It was under renovation, and there was a strong smell of formaldehyde. Please avoid staying here if possible; it's truly unpleasant!"

"Our family of four stayed at the Zander K for a night before we left for Havila voyage. The location was very good for exploring the city and just riggt beside Bergen Train station, and the breakfast spread was excellent. Free coffee and tea at the lobby all day round. The room was very clean and spacious and looked newly renovated . Highly recommended."
