"First, the website has no information about the hotel (only the name and address), no description of facilities, just one picture, which is seriously misleading. Second, this is not a hotel, but a converted local house, similar to an Airbnb. The stairs are small and dangerous (especially when dragging suitcases), there is no elevator, and the hallway smells of renovation. The room has no lights (only a floor lamp, no hairdryer), and the soundproofing is very poor. In Bergen, where it rains every day, there is no hairdryer, and the host is never seen. The only advantage is that there is a kitchen with relatively new utensils, but if even the most basic things can't be done properly, what's the point of all the fancy stuff?"

"The stay was pleasant. The staff were extremely friendly and everything was clearly sign posted and cleverly planned out. We booked two rooms but one of them had a very strong lingering smell of body odour when we entered and remained during the stay which made us question the cleanliness. The gym facility was decent and the breakfast buffet was also a good range. The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the airport completely outdoors, so if the weather is nice, it is lovely!"

"I think this was a really nice hotel. Comfortable bed and room. I really liked the desk and chair. Good breakfast. The only thing I didn't like is that unlike most other hotels, when leaving the room you need to lock the door yourself by swiping the keycard on the lock. The location is a bit remote, but on the other hand this is a great "base camp" if you're planning to hike Mt Ulriken for example. And the walk to the city center is only 30 min or so."

"Located on the edge of the fjord, the room is very spacious, the kitchenette can be used for cooking, and there is a supermarket 15 minutes' drive away. There are charging piles in the parking lot to charge electric vehicles for free. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but I haven’t used it, so I don’t know how it works."

There's a gym in the basement. Breakfast is tasty and definitely worth the price. There's a piano in the lobby that guests can use."

"Lovely hotel at the heart of the city. Just beside most tourist spots! Though the place is going through a renovation, it’s still maintained well and doesn’t give any trouble to the guests! Breakfast spread is good too Now, personally they kept some dinner aside for us as we were arriving late - Special thanks to that We were checking out early - they packed breakfast for us which was nice of them. Those fresh croissants and lemon muffins were too good They have an in house sauna which is a great place to relax after a tiring day. Special mention to ‘Mia’ at the front desk for taking good care of us and making the stay from pleasant to overwhelming"

"We had a lovely stay at Scandic Torget! The location is so convenient as you are within walking distance for many tourist/sightseeing spots. Tour busses usually do pick up on the same street as Scandic Torget so that is super convenient too! Only thing is that on the weekends it can get a little bit noisy from midnight to 4AM. But overall we had an amazing stay and would recommend staying at Scandic Torget!"
