BBretRCute little hotel in close proximity to the fisherman’s market and about 8 minute walk to Bryggen. Was easy to get to with the airport bus (about 3 minutes from the stop) I was a bit worried about the lack of air conditioning as the weather was quite hot while staying, but it wasn’t a problem. I kept the dial continuously at -5, not sure if that really did anything. Friendly and helpful people working behind the desk at check in and out. Breakfast was a wide assortment of local and western foods. Liked the assortment. There didn’t really seem to be a worker whose job it was to clear tables as that process was slow. But there was space upstairs to eat. Room was very clean with big windows, but can’t see out them as they are stained. Bed was a bit soft for my liking, like really soft and the shower leaked out onto the floor, but I think it’s reasonable considering the other positives and the price point of the hotel. Would definitely consider staying here again if ever in Bergen.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right by the harbor, and within walking distance to all the attractions. Our third-floor room offered a view of the colorful houses of Bryggen across the water, though the water itself was blocked by the fish market buildings. Perhaps higher floors would have a direct view of the water. The room was neither big nor too small, and came with a kettle, tea bags, and instant coffee. The shower space was a bit cramped, but the water pressure was decent. The service was great; they were very accommodating. We found the room a bit cold, so we called down for an extra duvet, which was delivered quickly. They also proactively offered to raise our room's maximum temperature setting to 23 degrees Celsius (from the previous 19.5 degrees). We were very comfortable for the rest of our three-day stay.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel room was spacious enough to fully open my suitcase. The room and bathroom were both spotless, and fully equipped with amenities. The breakfast selection was extensive. The front desk staff were friendly and proactively offered assistance. Definitely recommended! I'll be back next time! However, you need to bring your own slippers/daily essentials.

FFennfennThe location is superb. Just about 5-7mnts walk to train station. Surrounding lots of food. Our room is facing the pond. Wich is very nice. We love the breakfast area. Spacious, pretty coz they put fresh flower on each table. Lots of food choices and Staff is very attentive and polite. Just that our room is at the corner and they forgot to clean the rubbish bin from previous guests. The room is not that big but there is balcony and I love it coz they split the beds and the area where u can take out your shoes (they even put a bench there) and hang ur jackets. Check-in process is pretty fast too. We reached around 3pm and the room is ready. It’s also walking distance to all the major attractions. If we hv a chance, we ll come back again!

GGuest UserNote: This is a review for Thon Hotel Bristol Bergen where we actually stayed. We were relocated due to unforeseen issues from Thon Hotel Orion. Location: Literally in the center of town and only a 2-minute walk to the harbor and fish market. Although it could get a bit noisy at night as it is located right next to McDonald's. Cleanliness: Cleaning and house keeping were very good. Service: All service staff was courteous, friendly, and professional. Since we were involuntarily relocated to a different location by Thon Hotel due to hotel issues, I must say that the change was smooth and hassle free. The booking staff of Thon Hotel was also very helpful. Facilities: Excellent breakfast services with lots of varieties. Gym room is also available. Room itself is spacious and adequate space for luggage.

NNtyjessicacacacacaNice! They got me the highest floor which is great, and special type room, love it! Most of the things u need are provided except slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste. I think most rooms can see the pier view. The first night, some birds, maybe, or someone shooting fireworks at my window making loud noises and I can see some flash lights out the window. Scared die me. Food: free breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was great, dinner ok but love breakfast more. Trip.com says the bottle water are free, but in fact they will be charged. I didn’t notice that and took one, before check out, just saw the pricing list(ｰ ｰ;) Location: a bit tricky to find the ENTRANCE! When u see the building, TUR RIGHT! To the right u can find the real entrance( the front one is no longer in use). very convenient, located at the heart of Bergen, the Bergen museum is next to the hotel. The fifth photo is very close to the hotel. A few minutes walk to the mountain tram station. By the way, u can ask the front desk and get the key for accessing the roof top( third and fourth photo)

GGuest UserThe hotel has a great location, right near the pier. Although the exterior is European-style architecture, the rooms are modern and simple. The rooms are spacious enough to easily accommodate two large suitcases. Room cleaning was very prompt. The restaurant is indeed beautiful, and the breakfast is quite plentiful. The staff are all warm and attentive. Parking was done in the hotel's recommended parking lot for over 47 hours, costing 467 kronor. I don't know about any discounts, just for your reference.

EEva wong1129I originally booked a Deluxe City View Room with a balcony for two nights, from the 10th to the 12th. However, due to a canceled overnight train, I needed to check in a night earlier, so I booked a Standard Room for the 9th on the same day, as I would be arriving very late. Since the two bookings were for different room types, I checked out on the 10th and switched to the Deluxe City View Room with a balcony. But I was extremely disappointed! When I entered the deluxe room, I found it was exactly the same as the Standard Room I stayed in last night. So, I went to the front desk to inquire if there had been a mistake. Why were the deluxe and standard rooms identical? The front desk staff member who responded initially said he wasn't entirely sure, as he wasn't a permanent employee there and was just helping out (though his attitude was fine). After several inquiries, he told me that Room 306, which I was in, was indeed a Deluxe City View Room. I pointed out that the pictures on Trip.com showed a balcony, but my room didn't have one. He then told me that only three rooms in the entire hotel have balconies, and those balconies are shared with other rooms! I found this quite absurd! However, there were no other rooms available, and I didn't want to ruin my travel mood, so I reluctantly accepted it. If I hadn't added that extra night in the standard room at the last minute, I wouldn't have had a comparison and wouldn't have encountered this unpleasant experience. I don't know if this is a problem with the platform's information or with the hotel itself!

GGeorgie GerConvenient location as it's close to all the attractions and transport areas. Supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance. A good value breakfast with lots of options and lots of staff with smiles on their faces and very helpful. The rooms are a good size but not fancy in any way, makes it a perfect place to sleep, get ready and explore.
