"Nice, clean rooms, big comfy bed and pillows. Shower was okay. Water did not get hot, lukewarm at best and refrigerator was not cold at all, I almost thought it was broken. Food was good if you stick to Nepali and Indian food options, but lassis were watered down. Drinks were also not cold. Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful, but I had two instances that really turned me off. They have a free buffet breakfast, but if you opt to skip it, they call you very early in the morning to ask if you're coming or not. This disturbed my sleep several times until I asked them to stop. Today was also my last day here and although check out is at 3pm, I received a call from reception at 10:30am asking when I'd be leaving. He informed me that a big group would be arriving and told me that the check out time was noon, when it was clearly stated otherwise online. He asked if I'd be staying another night instead as if I was bartering to not be pushed out of my room before check out time, when I was right. I've never had such an experience before and have traveled all over the world. Such a lack of professionalism and tact. That is not how you treat guests at a 4 star hotel. Not recommending this hotel to anyone!"
"Very close to the pagoda, walking to the hall, a wall painting is a lotus peanut
The room is clean and bright, the light is dark at night, there is coffee order on the third floor
The front desk clerk will communicate in simple English
There are sockets suitable for China, no socket converter is required
There are mosquitoes, pay attention to whether the mosquito repellent is full"
"We had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional hotel for a total of 6 nights, and we couldn't be more thrilled with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff displayed an authentic and warm hospitality that made us feel truly at home. Their genuine friendliness and willingness to assist with every request went above and beyond our expectations.
One of the highlights of our stay was the remarkable cleanliness and tranquility of our room. It was evident that great care was taken to ensure a pristine environment, allowing us to relax and unwind in utmost comfort. The icing on the cake was the superb internet reception, which allowed us to stay connected seamlessly throughout our stay.
Our stay was punctuated by delightful mornings indulging in an exquisite breakfast spread. The puri or chapati and curry quickly became our favorites, perfectly complemented by the aromatic masala tea and the flavorful masala omelette – a true culinary delight!
The hotel's al fresco dining experience was an absolute treat. The ambiance was charming, and the food left an indelible mark on our taste buds. With each meal, we explored a plethora of different dishes, each more tantalizing than the last. It's safe to say that the culinary offerings exceeded our expectations in every way.
A noteworthy mention is the hotel's convenient proximity to Boudha Stupa, a mere 10-minute walk away. This made our visits to the stupa incredibly convenient and allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in its serene atmosphere.
What sets this hotel apart is not only its remarkable amenities and services but also the unique opportunity it offers. The daily free yoga and meditation sessions held within the monastery on the premises are truly transformative. We highly recommend inquiring about the schedule from the attentive hotel staff – it's an experience that added immeasurable value to our stay.
In summary, our time at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of attentive staff, immaculate rooms, delectable cuisine, and the added touch of free yoga and meditation sessions make this hotel a standout choice for anyone seeking a memorable stay near Boudha Stupa. We wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to fellow travelers looking for an unforgettable experience.
Thank you to the entire staff for making our stay truly remarkable – we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to return!
Tip: Indulge in delightful puri & curry breakfast, relish al fresco dining, rejuvenate with free daily yoga. A tranquil oasis near Boudha Stupa."
"We spend 4 days at Lavie hotel and we enjoyed our stay. Allthough the road is quite busy, after 10pm the traffic slows down heavily and the traffic noise disappears. We went several times to the early morning walking ceremony around Bouddhanath Stupa which is only a 10min walk from the hotel.
The staff is great and we would like to thank Ms. Dawa in particular for her great support. She helped us to buy tickets for a local music festival and supported my wife when she didn’t feel comfortable. Thanks, Dawa!"
"The boss and staff are willing to help, check-in in advance and there is no additional charge. The rooftop restaurant view can enjoy Kathmandu, the rooms are clean and hygienic."
"The location of the hotel is very close to the Great Buddha Pagoda. It is very convenient for transportation, eating and sightseeing. The hotel is very clean and the equipment is not old. This kind of charge is more cost-effective in Canada. The most appreciated is the restaurant/bar attached to the hotel. The food is above average. We stayed for almost a week and it was very comfortable"
"I used to stay in star-rated hotels with a tour group, but this time I was traveling by myself to meditate in Paping, so I searched for this store on Ctrip before going up the mountain, and then went to see it in advance. I was greeted by a beautiful receptionist with a healing smile. Although we couldn't communicate by voice, we were able to communicate clearly using a translation software. After we got down the mountain, we took a taxi directly to this store. It should be called a homestay. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm and pleasant. I booked a garden room. When I went to check in, the guests hadn't left yet, so the handsome guy at the front desk upgraded me to an apartment on the fourth floor. The room was big, with a kitchen and a balcony. There were all kinds of flowers and plants in the yard, and there was a cute cat. Unfortunately, when the cat was drinking water that day, I took a sneak shot of it and scared it. I feel so guilty. I'm sorry, Mimi. This store is a quiet place in the downtown area. It is very close to the Great Pagoda. It takes about three to five minutes to get there through the alley, but the hotel sign is not obvious and is still white. I navigated to that location but didn't find it until I asked a guy at a logistics company at the corner. I plan to go to Nepal again in August. If I stay at the Great Pagoda, I will go to this B&B hotel. I hope I can live in the apartment in Figure 5 by then."
"The hotel service is very good, the front desk and the guard are very warm, the location is close to the airport, it is not very easy to find. Ctrip's telephone customer service is really getting better and better, like one!"
"Great location near to Buddha stupa. Staff is friendly and provide great service. Great view at roof top and food is delicious. Will stay here again next trip."
"The hotel's service staff was very polite. As soon as they entered the hotel, the staff offered Hada and instantly felt that this strange city was very kind. It was very clean and hygienic. The breakfast can be ordered as your favorite, and then it is very delicate."

SShuijingWhen we arrived at the hotel, we were told that the room was full, so we booked another hotel nearby. The owner took us to another hotel nearby and helped us with our luggage. The service was very good.
AAnonymous UserIt takes a few minutes to walk to the Big Buddha; the room is good; free drop-off service is provided, but you must confirm with the front desk; breakfast is relatively simple; At the intersection of two paths, motorcycles, cars, barking dogs, crows, noise is very loud, and sound insulation is very bad, this is a flaw.
GGuest UserStayed for a few days, looks like this hotel just had a renovation ( everything) is new and clean
The staff was very help full and friendly
The room which i stayed in was perfectly clean and new bedsheets and towels were provided it also had a balcony;)
City centre is like 35 min walking and by car/bike 10min.
Will definitely book this hotel again when i visit Kathmandu.
GGuest UserOne of the best bang of buck hotels in boudha area, kathamndu. The receptionist was very nice to give me free upgrade to superior room. Room was very clean spacious and breakfast was good as well. Highly recommended
GGuest UserThere is a garden and the restaurant is also in the garden. The single bed is a little small but very comfortable. There is a terrace facing the garden. Fortunately, it closes at 8 or 9 in the evening, so it becomes very quiet immediately.
GGuest UserWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and courteous. From the moment we arrived, till the time we left, they gave us fantastic service. The only reason we gave the less than 5 stars on the cleanliness is not entirely their fault as Kathmandu although amazing and wonderful, it is a quite a dusty place from all the roads. The location was fantastic as it was in close walking distance to the famous Stupa, incredibly delicious restaurants, and tons of shopping. Also close to the airport and the city center. I would definitely stay there again.
