"Wonderful stay at this very antique clean hotel!
It was so convenient as it’s just by the train station and there is a Tesco express in front of the hotel.
So lovely they have complementary tea/coffee as well as some hot chocolate and small snacks too.
We were able to check-in a bit earlier than the check-in time so we really appreciate the flexibility of reception stuffs.
The food at downstairs bar was also lovely. We didn’t have to go outside we they had bar with selection of food.
If we ever come to Barrow we will definitely stay here again!"
"The hotel is next to a large living area industrial area. Remember that there is a Tesco supermarket next to it, which is within walking distance. The hotel room is quite large, the service staff is very polite, the security measures are good at night, there will be an access card. In general, friends who travel by car can choose. It takes about 50 minutes to reach Lake Windermere, with a choice of car."

The reception was lovely and the food was nice
GGuest UserIn arrival I was told that booking in was only at 3pm and on my email letter of confirmation it clearly stated 2pm. It looked as if the lady DS not believe me and so I fortunately had the confirmation email on my phone to show her. She then told me she would make and exception and allow me to book in an hour earlier! I find it frustrating that I should even hear the word “exception” as I was not in the wrong in the first place.
The only other suggestion I have is that there should be a non-slip mat available to use in the shower as well as a handle to hold onto when showering and wanting to wash one’s feet. I am sure you have mane elderly visitors and it would prevent them from slipping in the shower in the slippery floor and falling.
Apart from these two things I slept well and found the view over the pond with the birds a lovely one. All nice and clean and can recommend the hotel as a safe one to stay over.
