I recently had the pleasure of staying at Damai Lagoon Resort in Kuching, Sarawak, and it was an unforgettable experience. Nestled amidst lush tropical greenery and set against the backdrop of the majestic Mount Santubong, the resort offers a perfect blend of nature and luxury. The facilities at Damai Lagoon Resort are exceptional. The sprawling pool area is a true highlight, with crystal-clear water and ample space for both relaxation and fun. Whether you're lounging by the poolside or taking a refreshing dip, the serene atmosphere is absolutely invigorating. The resort also offers a well-equipped fitness center and a range of recreational activities, from kayaking to nature walks, making it easy to stay active during your stay. The dining experience at the resort is equally impressive. The on-site restaurant serves a delectable array of local and international cuisine, with dishes that are both flavorful and beautifully presented. The breakfast buffet, in particular, is a treat, offering a wide selection of fresh and delicious options to start your day. As for the room, it was simply perfect. Spacious, clean, and elegantly decorated, the room provided a comfortable and relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the high-quality linens and pillows added a touch of luxury. The room also featured a private balcony with stunning views of either the ocean or the surrounding rainforest, making it a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the natural beauty. The bathroom was modern and well-appointed, with a large shower, plush towels, and premium toiletries. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the complimentary coffee and tea, and the fast and reliable Wi-Fi. What truly sets Damai Lagoon Resort apart, however, is the incredible setting. Being surrounded by nature, with the sound of the waves and the sight of the lush rainforest, creates a tranquil and rejuvenating atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere. Overall, my stay at Damai Lagoon Resort was nothing short of spectacular. The combination of excellent facilities, comfortable accommodations, and breathtaking surroundings makes it a perfect getaway. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and nature-filled escape in Sarawak, and I can't wait to return.

We were initially booked into the Sheraton in Kuching, as we decided to treat ourselves. However, there had been issues with comms, and we wanted to ensure a pool was available for us. Whilst in Malaysia, we actually cancelled the Sheraton and booked this option for a fraction of the cost. I have given it 4 out of 5, with the following caveat. 1: Yes, it is very tired, the rooms have been grand but are no longer. However, our room, 1104 - was clean, the bed was huge, it was quiet, there was limited English TV but a wheeze to watch and there was a working fridge. 2: We asked for an extra pillow and was told it would be 10 ringits charge - don't be tight people, that amount is not worth asking for, but it becomes a principle thing. 3: Pool was fantastic for us - however: a: don't clean it in the height of the day. Do it when it is quieter. b: supervise it better, there was a czech group in, who were very friendly but were drinking spirits and beer in the pool and smoking - in the smoking area, but don't know if that is because we obviously didn't smoke. c: pool towels (free) were actually better option and fluffier than room towels 4: Staff friendly especially the concierge 5: Breakfast - bit tepid, but lots of choice and tasty options. 6: Charge 65 Ringits to keep room until 6pm - very good value. 7: Taxi from airport 35 ringits, grab back, 21 ringits. 8: Walking distance to waterfront 9: 7/11 across road expensive but shop next to Hotel 98, excellent options. Beer = 3 cans for 11 ringits. Cheaper than supermarkets. 10: cleaners very good, room facilities include bottled water daily, coffee, tea, shower gel, soap and shampoo. You have to overlook some tiredness, grouting etc. but overall, including VFM, location, facilities etc - we thought a good option and would return.

New and clean place, towels and bed was made everyday. However on the last day, unfortunately we didn’t get a towel change. Other than that, good experience. Recommend to use the app for access instead of keying in the PIN

Stayed there recently for 4 nights. The hotel is situated in a very quiet area so finding places to eat is very limited. There is only a budget eating place available during lunch time. And in the evening unless you are mad keen on BBQ then you will have to walk at least 10 mins for food. Simple breakfast was included and I really do knot know if they offer any alternative. If I ever return to Kuching i will definitely stay somewhere closer to the River because walking under the sun is not healthy.

I came with my mom for the Raya. I stay 3 nights with them and got a standard double room. I came by 10.30 in the morning and wishing to enter my room. They allow me to!! Thank you so much because I needed after a long trip, flew from Surabaya to Pontianak and road trip by bus to Kuching. The room was large and good with no window there. The sink is outside the bathroom but it looked clean and ok. The bath room is big and clean. My phone couldn't connect to the hotel's wifi, I think it because my room is to far from the router. They have stable hot water. During my stay, the elevator was under maintenance twice. But it was ok since the building only has two stories. The hotel used to have a restaurant but they were closed during my stay there. I book the hotel online. So it will be cheaper. Kuching Waterfront is 20 minutes walking distance. So yes, the hotel is in the city center! If you interested to some beer and nightlife, there are two beerhouse, 7-11 and local merchant back at the hotel.

Overall all is okayyy. Hope can provide toilet tissue heheee. The price is cheap so cannot complain too much but okay la for short stay.

Not available for my parents. Cannot do anything to cancel booking. So I need to extend another one night

Location was the best, close to river banks and center. Topspot food center within 5 min walk. The room has everything you can ask for, we were surprised by the choice offered for breakfast, however every hot items on offer was plain cold, which was a shame really. Staff was really helpful and nice, rooftop swimming pool nice, but it was impossible to use it on week end days as it was full of kids and families. For those reasons we chose to rate ”average” and also because the Wifi is limited or non existent.
