It was a great experience. The staff was so very awesome. Parking fee is way too much though for overnight. That should be advertised so it’s not a shock to the system when you get there with your car and no other options for where to park. Slightly highway robbery with the parking. Everything else was absolutely fantastic though.
Ctrip booked two double-bed rooms, ready to check in at the front desk, and only one double bed was answered. The Ctrip customer service was always busy. Later, a customer service called me to talk to the hotel front desk and gave them to the hotel. After a confirmation code inside, the hotel found another section of the department, or a double bed. The customer service phone changed the hotel front desk to a large bed. The front desk refused, said it could not be changed, and finally had to wait for Ctrip to negotiate, about an hour before and after. Finally, I went to the hotel on-duty manager to explain the situation before I was able to check in. I got my room card at 8:50 pm and 10:00 pm. After a long day of fatigue, it was a bit ugly to encounter this. The location is relatively close and the price is relatively cheap. After all, Hilton is a big name, but this type of hotel has to charge and expensive for breakfast. I still think that holiday inn and crown plaza are better and cost-effective.
There are dishwashers, food waste disposers, microwaves, refrigerators and other kitchen appliances. Breakfast was okay. In addition, the sound insulation is very good. You can only see but not hear the small train passing by.

I am glad I didn’t pay full price ($350/night) for this. Great location and everything looks nice from the outside and the lobby. The room is decent from the looks but once you stay in there, you will realized nothing is working properly.
The AC/Heater was not working, the control for the AC/Heater doesn’t work so the AC was blasting cold air all night on NYE!!! So we were both freezing and it was 2am!
The TV only have 5 channels and 2 are the same as the other 2, so in reality only 3 channels. The TV quality is also very outdated. Feel like we were watching TV from the 80s/90s when it was the actual 2024 NYE concerts. And on the 5th channel, it is just showing how DirectTV subscription is expired, like what?
The Wifi in the room is not free unless you are a Bonvoy member.
There was less than a quarter roll of toilet paper on the Tp dispenser and they also didn’t provide a second roll. The body wash pump was empty and the shampoo ran out.
The bottom side of the toilet seat looks very filthy as if they haven’t clean that part of the toilet seat in a while. The floor of the bathroom was also very dirty.
We usually check if we can ask for a late check-out the night before, but we called the front desk with no answers. When they finally answered, they said we have to call back at 7am to let us know. Ehh Hello? The whole point of getting a late check out is so we can sleep in? So I had to set an alarm to call back at 7am to get a 1pm check out. It was a bit annoying.
This was a big disappointment for me because this was supposed to be a nice hotel from Marriott as the Autograph Collection. Especially for $350 a night in the middle of Old Town Alexandria, I had expected better quality.
Not to mention the chaos during check-in. Seems like there were only 4 workers there for HUNDReDs of customer. People were angry about being stuck in the parking garage and no one can help them and they gave a lady a room that currently already have someone checked-in. Apparently the lady opened the door when the guy was showering in the room. What a chaos!

The room was beautiful and comfortable. We loved the location. But we had a very unnerving experience with our room. We noticed the deadbolt lock did not actually work on our door. I like using this for extra protection. The last night of our 5 night stay we had a woman come into our room while we were trying to get to sleep due to an early flight the next morning. She said she was sorry that she bothered us and thought this was her room apparently she told the front desk that and they just gave her the key TO OUR ROOM!?? Would you not at least get some ID or verification that this was the correct room. This was very unsettling and we were nervous about our safety and left early for our flight. also some things to know there is No daily maid service, towel exchange or coffee replenishment and we had to ask for toilet paper.
The staffs are the most attentive people I have ever encountered in a hotel. They are all so helpful and warm. Staying here will not only ensure you with a good night sleep, it will also bring a smile on your face when looking back at your time here. —Alexandria, Virginia

Excellent
GGuest UserThe room is clean and tidy, the facilities are outdated especially the toilet. There are buffet or a la carte breakfast. There are not many classic American breakfast buffet dishes. Don't imagine that it is the same as the domestic one. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the king street station. There are two lines, blue and yellow, which can go to the city center.
GGuest User Hotel and hotel service is great! Parking service is terrible! Front desk was extremely nice and accommodating. The valet parking attendant was by far the worst I’ve had in my life. Without greeting, he rudely (]with a tone) said we have to check in before bringing the car in the garage. He kicked us out of the garage. So I did so at front desk while my girlfriend drove circles around the block. Not a big deal so far, until we returned with our $30 paid parking ticket. The valet man then said we can’t park in there, because there is no room. But we just paid the front desk, right? We then mentioned that we paid “so can you please park our car?” The valet then tells us to “the hotel has nothing to do with this parking lot!” even though the entrance sign says Hotel Indigo. Other customers in the lot told us to go somewhere else because he was terrible and rude with them. So we drove around in the very busy neighborhood and found a $10 lot over half a mile away. We came back and explained to the front desk what happened and she kindly gave us a bottle of champagne and water and refunded our parking. She also offered discount breakfast AND her personal parking space! Wow. She really cared about customer satisfaction. Highly recommend this place, but park elsewhere!!!
GGuest UserThe service was very quick and efficient. The breakfast included was nice, it included bananas juice, oatmeal, scrambled eggs and sausage, muffins, bagels, toast and cereal. The workers were very willing to help fill any needs of the customers. The fitness center was large and filled with plenty of equipment. It was a bit difficult manuvering around the roads to get to Mount Vernon from the hotel at first, very easy to miss the main turns. The room was clean, large and had everything we needed. I wanted body lotion and they gave me that right away.
AAtupoThe hotel has its own free parking lot, which is great.
The location is also very good, and it is really comfortable to walk around.
The room is nothing to say, the bathroom is a little small.
The breakfast is free, but it is a little simple, and it is definitely no problem to eat enough.
The waiter is very nice. A very good experience.
JJUNVery big hotel, went to the room for a long time. It is suitable for self-driving tourists with cars. It is surrounded by fast roads and has no scenery. The place to eat and the old town are a few kilometers away. The ancient city is beautiful.
GGuest UserThe hotel locates in the city center of Alexandria and provides good service. But the hotel is already outdated, and the room facilities are mediocre.
GGuest UserNot bad, there are supermarkets nearby and many restaurants where you can simply eat. A little farther, taxis are required to enter and leave the city.
GGuest UserI enjoyed the stay here. The utensils and dishes are often hard to get enough of. For example, I wanted some forks, but they were out. They had plenty of dishes for me to use, and I had brought along a spoon, so I ate with the spoon I brought with me.
Otherwise the rooms are adequate to move around, and the queen size bed was firm and comfortable. There are three pillows of various firmness and thickness, so should suit most people.
The breakfast is paltry, only consists of instant oatmeal and granola bars. There is plenty of coffee. Once coffee ran out, so I notified the management, and they started a new batch right away.
Per posted policy, they don't clean the room if staying less than a week.
GGuest UserVery suitable for long-term hotels in the United States, there is an above-ground train station outside 🚉, the hotel has good sound insulation, the front desk staff said that they are very patient, and the map positioning is very accurate.
