One of the most unforgettable experience in my life! The hotel is beautiful situated! Our room is modern and clean! I enjoyed having a stroll in the beautiful garden! It was amazing to have wine tasting and Michelin starred dinner in the hotel. The entire experience was exclusive! I enjoyed staying in this chateau hotel with my husband. It’s one of the highlights in our honeymoon trip.
This was our second stay at Villa Saint Ange, and I'm disappointed to say it will definitely be our last. We stayed here a couple years ago on our honeymoon, and while we had a few small issues with the service, the gorgeous grounds, immaculate room, and great location merited a return stay. Unfortunately, our return trip was much worse than the first. First, the good: the hotel is still gorgeous, and the pool is still lovely. The location is great - a short walk will bring you right to Cours Mirabeau. The restaurant is newly overseen by Pierre Gagnaire, and is still nice (though honestly no better than under the previous chef). We had two main issues this trip: our room, and the lack of service recovery when we had an issue with it. Our room was located at the front of the hotel overlooking the street. It was very nicely appointed, but as we learned at about 5-6am every single morning, it has a glaring issue: noise. Each morning, a symphony of garbage trucks, delivery vehicles, and other service vehicles absolutely bombarded our room with noise. While any room facing the street is likely a bit noisy, our room in particular was RIGHT above the hotel's loading bay, meaning 5am deliveries to the restaurant were unacceptably loud. The many antique floor-to-ceiling windows in the room were beautiful, but absolutely worthless noise insulators. We mentioned this issue to the staff, who seemed unsurprised by the complaint, and also offered nothing more than a fairly insincere apology. That said, it's not the responsibility of a hotel's receptionist to resolve hotel layout problems - it's the responsibility of management/ownership. This is not the only review to mention this issue, which means management/ownership knows this is a problem and simply does not care. This is also not an inexpensive room - it's actually a Superior category room, and thus commands a price of nearly $1,000/night. My advice to the owner of this hotel: this room cannot be a guest room. The location is not acceptable for a bedroom, and charging this much money for such a substandard room is a bad look. Convert the room to a library, parlor, utility closet - anything but a bedroom. Other consistent, easily-remedied feedback in guest reviews (most notably, lack of coffee maker in the rooms) has been ignored by management, so this likely will be as well.
Maison du Collectionneur fully deserves all the praise and accolades it attracts. Hotel is situated in a perfect location for exploring Aix. An old house on a quiet, traffic restricted street, in the historic part of the city. The room we had was on the second floor, tastefully furnished and comfortable with interesting, eclectic, art work – a theme throughout the building. It was equipped with tea and coffee making facility, a refrigerator with replenished bottled water and a safe. On the ground floor there are two compact public areas, a lounge and a small but attractive (and shady) walled garden with tables. Breakfast arrangements are delightfully flexible, you can pre-order the day before from an individually priced la carte menu and it can be taken either in the lounge or garden. The walk to most of the main tourist destinations is easy and pleasant. The Cours Mirabeau, the central boulevard where you can find extensive and high quality markets most days (and often evenings), shops, and bars is 5 minutes away. The superbly well arranged and pleasant tourist office is 10 mins. Two of the main art galleries (Caumont & Musee Granet) are some 3 mins away. Cross the Mirabeau and you are in the network of shops, bars, cafes, churches and historic buildings that make up the historic heart of Aix. This was our first visit and we were enchanted by the vibrant, atmosphere and how well city is organized for tourists. One of the best ways to get an initial taste of what the City offers is to use the Diabline fleet of small buses that serve 3 routes (A, B & C) around the city centre. Each bus holds just 6 passengers and circulate frequently. You buy the tickets from the driver, a single journey of any length costs a fixed 1.30 Euro pp. or a ticket for 10 trips is 9.00 Euro. Our personal view is that the top rating should be awarded where there is an exceptional reason; comfort, cleanliness, décor, location and friendly staff are highly welcome but should be a given. For us what made Maison du Comm outstanding was the very approachable, friendly and highly efficient service provided by the managers Emma and Silvio. Their advice and assistance on a range of issues was invaluable in making our stay memorable and relaxing. We hope this review goes some way to expressing our appreciation.

The hotel is good, the cost of Ctrip is too high, the domestic departure time set more than 2100 hotels, to the hotel will become more than 1800. The difference between the hotel in Geneva has reached more than 400 RMB. It is recommended that you can cancel it. Go to the hotel in advance and buy it at the front desk after refunding.
warm and friendly staffs . nice room and spacious with kitchen microwave and cooking equipments. they also serve welcome pompe which is a local bakes. nice :) unfortunately with this price there isn't much complimentary basic utilities we can use such as coffee at pantry or other.
Unexpectedly nice! We came to this hotel for one night because it's near the TGV station and we'd been unable to get into our hotel in Aix's old town until next day... This hotel turned out to have really comfortable well decorated modern rooms, excellent helpful staff and very generous extras: such as unlimited free mineral water and croissants in the hall, and free beer for anyone who didn't want to watch the rugby world cup in the restaurant/bar. (I should add that the hotel was quiet and so were the guests). A real effort has been made with the small landscaped garden and play areas, the swimming pool was clean and pleasant even though it was the end of the season, and the outlook very green over the golf course. The breakfast was absolutely the best I have ever had in France, with real French cheeses instead of the usual processed stuff, and fresh fruit and proper patisseries as well as eggs (and the meat was doubtless good too). The location was the main flaw for guests like us wishing to avoid using a car. It is a short taxi ride from the TGV station, but a half-hour bus journey to Aix proper through anodyne business areas. The other flaw - which wouldn't affect the sports fans or young families with cars who seem to be the usual guests - was the incredibly tiny bath. Sadly I fell trying to get out of that bath and am still dealing with the injury. I must add that we had come back again at very short notice for one further night, and again the staff were excellent and so was the room in all other respects...I should have used the shower that night instead!
The Golden Tulip chain of hotels renovated this venue a couple of months ago, and created a very efficient, modern and comfortable hotel, very suitable for business and en-route stays. It's located next to the autoroute from Aix-en-Provence to Lyon. Downtown Aix is about a 10 mins. drive. The beds (as in all Golden Tulip hotels) are amongst the most comfortable we've ever slept in! Bathroom modern and efficient. The staff consist of mostly young, enthusiastic people with a modern attitude to service. Definitely a hotel that differs itself positively from the standard en-route French hotel-style! The restaurant should be upgraded somewhat. The menu is limited and as downtown is a bit out, guests should be able to have a bit more choice in the menu.
I would anticipate that I am a platinum Accor hotel member , so by definition I had the pleasure to see hundreds of novotel in the word . Positive : -good breakfast and wonderful location in the garden . -open and common space quite clean and welcoming . Negative : -moquette in the room is more than obsolete , very dirt and with a really bad smelt . -most of the staff people are not speaking English at all , both during breakfast than at the bar . It has been hard even to have a bottle of water ….this is really not acceptable . Please consider these comments as an incentive to do better . Hotel is nice and few improvements are really needed . This is a Novotel below the standard .

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are knowledgable, friendly and speak great English. The pool is lovely too - we did a lot of research prior to the trip and found there arent many hotels with pools in Aix. This one was cheaper than the others with pools. Some parts of the hotel are a little tired but everything works well. You can get a taxi, bus or walk into town. Mostly we walked - about 30 minutes and very do-able. The taxi is about €12-15 depending on where in town you are headed. You can also easily get a taxi from the TGV station (expect to spend circa €45 for this journey). There is plenty of parking and you are close to a motorway - which you can hear from the pool. If you want a silent retreat / silence by the pool then this probably isn't the hotel for you! Some of the rooms were a little small - I was ironing my clothes on a bath mat on a very small desk as there was no ironing board! To reduce the risk of covid19, all staff and guests must wear masks in the public areas of the hotel. There is a lot of hand sanitizer available. And they wont make up your room during the day unless requested - I assume to reduce contamination. They are still serving a buffet breakfast which I thought was now a thing of the past.

Excellent
EElifeCWe have spent one night in this hotel a few kilometers from the center of Aix en Provence. The check in was quick and smooth and our room spacious and fairly clean. It was a pleasure to enjoy the swimming pool on a hot day like the one we had. It was a good stay and very good value for money considering the high prices in high season.
GGuest UserIt's very good. It's worth recommending. It's very good. My friends like it very much. Next time, I'll take my family to check in. Breakfast is rich, transportation is convenient, and the couple's attitude is also very good.
GGuest UserHygiene requires limited services, but we have or appreciate the tranquility of the hotel and the availability of staff. Excellent location, within walking distance to town. Possibility of parking on the street with parking meters.
RRick SipesThe hotel is a good choice for budgetminded travelers but it is somewhat distant from the center of the city. It took about a half hour to walk to the rotonde, which is the center of Aix. However, along the way to the rotonde are plenty of cafes, shops selling food, wine and bread. The route is pretty direct and leads directly to Cours Mirabeau, the main thoroughfare of Aix, You can take a taxi from the rotonde to the hotel for 8 Euros. Breakfast provided a nice selection of European breakfast choices and you could dine on the outside terrace on the days that it was open. The hotel didn't have laundry facilities, but there is a pressing service(dry cleaner) a short walk from the hotel on Gambetta that will do laundry. My personal biggest negative was that you have to climb a steep driveway and then some stairs to reach the entrance to the hotel. Although you can bypass the stairs by entering through the garage and taking a lift to the main floor, you still have to walk to reception at the entrance. If you're carrying luggage, either way it's a trek. I'm in my eighties, so at the end of a day of walking, climbing the hill was a chore. All in all not a bad choice.
I would not recommend this hotel. -Hard to find -Far from city center ($15 euro Uber each way) -no face cloths provided -only one small roll of toilet paper provided (and a half used one) -soap dispensers almost empty -no hair dryer -air conditioner didn’t work -did not allow early check in -stains on walls -broken glass in the cupboard -cobwebs -moldy shower curtain -shower handle was broken and didn’t stay on the holder -They charge $7 per clean (daily clean is not included!!) These are the reasons I would not stay again or recommend staying. This hotel needs improvement and care. The positives: -Staff are nice -Bed was comfortable -Free street parking out front or just $5 underground
This hotel is very nice if you have a car to get around. Free Parking. Bedrooms fine and quiet. Good outside grounds. Reception staff all helpful. Breakfast I thought was good. Especially liked you can juice your own oranges in the morning and fresh fruit salad not tinned.
Perfect for our needs, Driving from Nice to Toulouse needed a place to spent the night. IBIS was just off the Expressway pulled in without a reservation. Reception clerk was so welcoming and accomdating, the late dinner was wonderful, and the room was very comfortable. Like I said perfect or my needs. recommend it highly
6610chiarahThe hotel is very run down. The air conditioning was not working but you could not open the windows at night because of the noise from the motorway running alongside. Also the music the hotel plays throughout the public areas goes on 24/7 With a speaker on the patio area below our room it meant that even with the window shut there was a constant bass beat we couldn’t get away from. Despite requests to the hotel from our wonderful tour guide nothing was done. Temperature in the bedroom was 25c. Do not eat at the hotel, the food is abysmal and very expensive. The grounds and pool are not maintained and filthy, the litter bins outside reception overflowing. The only positives are the towels and bedding are new and plentiful and the supplied toiletries are high end, good quality.
Very comfortable hotel, everything worked ok in the room, tv, kettle, fridge, shower with good hot water. Everything was very clean and convenient. It also had a kitchenette with pans, pots, cutlery and crockery. Hotel is located right at the heart of the Village, walking distance to everything!. Special thanks to the reception staff that were super nice and Friendly. I stayed in Room 207, where there was zero noise from the street. Thanks!.🙂
