Best Adelaide Hotels

"For my 21-day trip to Australia, I stayed in 11 hotels, mainly across Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Here's my ranking of the hotels from best to worst in terms of overall experience, with value for money factored in: 1. Capella Sydney (Lower value for money) 2. Park Hyatt Melbourne (High value for money) 3. InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto (Medium value for money) 4. Crown Towers Melbourne (High value for money) 5. Le Méridien Melbourne (Medium value for money) 6. Hilton Adelaide (Medium value for money) 7. The Langham Melbourne (Lower value for money) 8. Citadines on Bourke Melbourne (Best value for money) 9. Meriton Suites Waterloo, Sydney (High value for money) 10. Best Western Plus Travel Inn Hotel, Melbourne (Lower value for money) 11. The Hotel Windsor, Melbourne (Worst value for money) The Park Hyatt Melbourne stood out as having the best service among all 11 hotels. We arrived around 5:00 PM and were informed our room wasn't quite ready, requiring a 10-15 minute wait. Before I could even react, the front desk staff immediately offered complimentary breakfast for the next day as an apology, along with a voucher for two drinks at the lobby bar while we waited. Of course, we happily accepted! The hotel's location is a little outside the very center, situated behind Parliament House and right next to St. Patrick's Cathedral, which you can see from the rooms. Fitzroy Gardens, home to Cook's Cottage, is also within walking distance and worth a visit. I was very impressed with the hotel's amenities. The room even had a three-prong power outlet, a feature I didn't find in any other hotel. The 'old money' decor gave it a grounded and understated elegance. Breakfast was excellent and very extensive, with freshly made Western pastries that were incredibly delicious. I heard their flat white is even better than those from popular specialty coffee shops. The heated pool was long and narrow, feeling like it was definitely more than 25 meters. There's also a tennis court available for A$50 an hour, though you need to bring your own racket."

"Convenient location to go sightseeing, veryclosely with Rundle Mall and airport. However, the cuisine for dinner is too salty, can improve for changing the menu. Overall, good to stay at the hotel even though the room rate is a bit higher than weekdays as football event held at the Oval Stadium."

"The location is fantastic, within walking distance to all the main attractions, and there's public transport just a few hundred meters away that goes directly to the airport. The facilities are a bit old, but the room itself is spacious and very clean. Overall, I'd still highly recommend it."

"Lovely old hotel, beautiful upgraded rooms and shared bathroom. _BUT the experience is totally letdown by the reverberating pump of dance music which went till 1.0am Friday and 2.0am Saturday. Its sleep defying, which is a shame because the staff and food were all very good and you could hear the sea when finally it was quiet."

"Clean and comfortable hotel in a wonderful location, a short and pleasant walk to many of the Adelaide centre's main sights including Rundle mall, the university, and the art gallery, and a short and quite direct ride by public transport to everything else including the airport and Glenelg beach. Super friendly and helpful staff, great bed, nice TV, clean bathroom, cool views! Thank you ibis adelaide"

"We extended our stay for another day and were very satisfied with the hotel's excellent service. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. As seniors, we truly appreciate all the young men and women who assisted us. A big thank you to everyone, and we will definitely stay at Pullman Hotel again next time."

"The rooms and hotel amenties are as expected because is holiday inn ”express” . The service response is fast from the frontdesk. However, room cleanliness is very much lacking 1. There was a plastic wrapper and chuck of dust dirt at corner of room when I check in. The following day after cleanup was done and I return to room in late afternoon. Wrapper and dust remains untouch at corner. I have to call the front desk to ensure following day cleaning team will vaccum and do a proper clean up. 2. Air vent above the shower area was filled and clot up with black dirt. I just avoid looking at it as disgusting 3. There are dead insects stuck on the shower door rubber strip. I tried to wash it away but as need to pull out the seal I left it and again avoid eye contact.🤮 4. Pillow case has brown stains at ths edge. I had to request for a new piece. Additionally the mattress has dents and clumpy, so I was unable to sleep as feeling itchy through out night with images of dirt insects flashing through my thoughts. Coupled with the loud music and noises from below. I reserve the rooms more than 3 months before trip and request for high floor as saw reviews on the noise. BUT was not block for us so end up on the 2nd floor. I wont stay in this hotel again. Basics facilities is ok but cleanliness is very important"

"The hotel boasts spacious rooms and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The accommodation itself is very comfortable, and I particularly liked the kitchen being open for 20 hours, allowing guests to cook whenever they please. The only downside is the lack of privacy; I'd suggest installing curtains or blinds around each bed for better seclusion."

"Great place to stay in town I had a one bedroomed apartment and it was fabulous. The room was spacious, fully equipped , and a great shower, and the bed was fabulous. The sheets and towels were of good quality, and I slept like a baby! The laundry was a brilliant addition, as was the servicing of the apartment. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. I really appreciated being able to store my luggage, too The only downside could be the location , as it is on a very noisy main street (Hindley St is full of food places, and there was a busy bar directly opposite the entrance). It didn't really bother me, but I could see it affecting families. All in all, I think it was fabulous value, and I would recommend it ."
