Hot Springs Hotels in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan

Kaga Onsen Station has a free hotel bus pick-up! The hotel provides one-to-one butler service, including food and beverage. You can choose a butler for the whole trip. We chose to stay for one night with breakfast and dinner! We were given a designated small private room! There are 3 hot springs! Take turns to take a bath and enjoy different environments! Very satisfied!

This is one of my favorite Dormy Inn hotels, boasting a distinct Japanese style. Our last family trip before the pandemic fully broke out was during Chinese New Year in 2020, and we created wonderful memories at the Dormy Inn in Sakaiminato. That's why we chose this hotel again for our return trip to Japan. Both check-in and check-out are entirely self-service via machines. They even allowed us to check in early on the day of arrival, giving me more time to explore Kanazawa Castle. The rooftop hot spring bath is beautifully designed, with an ambiance reminiscent of Kenrokuen Garden. After a relaxing soak, complimentary drinks and ice cream are available, not to mention the late-night ramen that left us with such fond memories from our 2020 visit. With an extensive breakfast selection, everything was just perfect.

It is not my first time to visit the Dormy Inn chain with the onsen available in every hotel. As always, the room is spacious and clean, and the onsen has both indoor and outdoor bath. It is within 2 minutes walk from Kanazawa station with easy access. There are numerous washing machines (free of charge!) and dryers available, so you don’t have to queue for washing machines if you had a long trip and need your clothes to be washed. There is a wall of manga outside the onsen and washing area for killing time. I will definitely continue to choose Dormy Inn if available.

It has the charm of a traditional hotel without the clutter. I took my 83-year-old mother on a family trip. We stayed in a comfortable and pleasant river view room, enjoyed a very generous dinner and breakfast, and washed down with the open-air bath by the stream. It's highly recommended for family trips.

In response to his wife's request that the morning city see, he planned a trip to Noto Peninsula. It was the second day of the stay for the rakusan, but the wonderful scenery, the sea spreading in front of me, and the moment when Noto Island spreads beyond it, and the Asahi rises, I felt the God 々. Dinner and breakfast were able to enjoy Noto's food. It was very delicious. The large bath was a large inner bath, the open air was in the goemon bath on both sides, and there were two types of sauna, but the usual sauna felt a little low because the door was not closed firmly. I was impressed by Nakai's hand until he left the parking lot and couldn't see. It is also a hotel that I want to stay. It was the best.

The menu may change every day, but the chicken tempura and croquettes at breakfast were very delicious. There are two baths in the hotel, one of which is an open-air bath, which was very pleasant. Many families visit, so I think it's best to go at a different time when children are in the bath, as they are running around and it's difficult to relax. There is a foot bath and public bath within a five-minute walk, so it was a nice atmosphere in the hot spring town. I recommend researching nearby restaurants in advance and making a reservation if possible.

The facilities are a bit old, the room is spacious, the room has a bit of odor, the hot spring is ok, the shower is a bit old, and some are not working well. There are small debris on the path to the open-air hot spring. The food is worth it.

In the 2025 cherry blossom season, the first five hotels in Kyoto, Japan and the Hokuriku region were all rated poorly, either dirty or noisy. Finally, there is a hotel with all 5-star reviews. You must make an appointment for the transportation from Kaga Onsen to the hotel at least one day in advance on your own official website or ask Ctrip. I made an appointment with Ctrip two days in advance. I like the customer service. Follow the instructions at the south gate of Kaga Onsen Station to see the hotel's car. The timetable is shown in the last photo. The driver is courteous and considerate. On the way, there will be a brief introduction to the Buddha statue, snow mountain, famous product Mantou Niangniang, etc. It takes 25 minutes to arrive at the hotel. It feels like home. The staff kneels down to serve. Now the process is done quickly. The corner Western-style room I booked is very good to live in. The sun is bright and the size is just right. The hotel is generous and the coffee and tea bar is available 24 hours a day. The quality is excellent. It is so thoughtful. You can choose a Kutani yaki tea cup. The latte is very delicious. The afternoon tea teppanyaki restaurant makes fresh pancakes. At 4 pm, five kinds of sweet cocktails are provided for happy hour. They are prepared by the staff and are delicious. Pudding is provided at 8 pm. There is a geisha performance at 8:45 Yamanaka Festival. A plate of snacks is also delicious in the morning. There is a row of sake for dinner. I didn’t pay attention to whether it is a self-service sake or free. I think this price and quality are above average. Breakfast is also full of sincerity and free sake is provided. The staff in the restaurant are very warm and thoughtful. My room does not have a private bath. When you check in, you will be asked to choose a private bath for 50 minutes. The large bath is also very good. You can also soak in the foot bath when you are free. I really can’t find any fault with this cost performance. I stayed in the expensive hotel next to it, Huazi, the next day. There was nothing except two bottles of water, a bag of coffee and a bag of stick tea. There was a welcome tea, but no other activities or food. Jixiangting is really serious about running a hotel. The only thing is that sometimes there is a faint smell of sewage in the hotel. In addition, there are a lot of Hong Kong tour groups staying there, and they talk very loudly.

Kishotei Inn is located in the Yamanaka Onsen Street. There is a hotel shuttle bus from the south exit parking lot of Kaga Onsen JR Station that can pick you up at scheduled times. You need to reserve a time in advance. Just use your email address. The pick-up and drop-off staff are very friendly and the hotel service is better. It is in place, and the period architecture adds to the Japanese style of the hot spring hotel. It has a clean and hygienic environment, rich breakfast and dinner, considerate hot tea and snacks in the lobby, and a beautiful open-air hot spring and scenery near the stream on the first floor. There is also a hotel next to the hotel. There are Hexianxi Trail and Hot Spring Street Town, both of which are refreshing and relaxing hot spring tours. It is highly recommended and I will definitely go there again if I have the opportunity.
