The hotel is not far from Takayama Station and also provides pick-up service. Takayama Old Town, Jinya and other attractions are within walking distance, which is very convenient. We stayed in a Western-style room on the side of Jinya. The room was clean and bright, with all the supplies, and the large bath was also very good. As for the food, since I sent an email to the hotel two weeks in advance to request that one of the guests remove fish from the meal, the hotel was considerate and the food service staff pointed out the changes made to the dishes when serving each dish, and the dishes that replaced the fish were not sloppy, which made me very satisfied. In addition, the service attitude of the staff is also very good, and there are also English-speaking staff to serve guests who do not understand Japanese. In short, the hotel is of high standard in all aspects and I will recommend it to my friends.

The views are absolutely stunning, and the rooms are very spacious. Although it's a bit of a distance from Takayama Station, there's a convenient free hotel shuttle bus operating every hour. Both the public baths on the 5th and 7th floors feature outdoor hot spring baths (rotenburo), and the male/female facilities switch daily. Additionally, every room is equipped with its own bathtub. Breakfast, served on the second floor, offers a wide variety of dishes. Highlights include the delicious Japanese breads, along with local specialties such as Hoba Miso, Hida Milk, and puddings. The hotel is also officially designated as a 5-star accommodation by the Japan Tourism Agency.

It is a hot spring hotel suitable for families who like to get close to nature. The dinner and breakfast for one stay and two meals are pretty good. The dining area is spacious enough. The only drawback is that the hot spring bathing area is relatively small and old.

The hotel has nice rooms with fascinating view on the town. Rooms are clean and pretty big with needed amenities. The hotel has really nice onsen with water from the local hot spring, sauna and a nice spot for town and neighborhood observing. The hotel is pretty near the railway and bus stations, moreover it’s about 10 minutes walk for main historic part of Takayama.

It was my child's first trip to Japan, and I wanted him to experience a traditional tatami room. I absolutely recommend this hotel in Takayama. We booked a tatami room, which was wonderfully spacious and offered incredible views. The two onsen baths at the hotel were also fantastic and spotlessly clean.

Brand new hotel with small but comfortable and clean rooms. It's a great base to explore the Gifu area. There is parking space available for extra charge. The breakfast is good but quite repetitive if you stay for several nights. The staff at breakfast lacks politeness and it's not very efficient. There is often food missing in the buffet. The hotel has a private Onsen for guests which is very good and convenient. The Onsen facilities are very clean. Staff is polite in general.

The hotel is incredibly close to the station, literally a minute or two on foot. The central shopping district is also a convenient 10-minute walk away. Check-in was electronic and very smooth. Despite being right by the train tracks, it was surprisingly quiet. I appreciated the hotel's custom-made maps and local attraction guides, which were very thoughtful and interesting. One minor drawback: there's no bottled water in the room; guests need to get their own water. They do have a public bath facility, perfect for a relaxing soak. Housekeeping was prompt and kept the room spotless.

**Hotel Review** Unfortunately, my experience at this hot spring hotel did not meet expectations. The dinner service was particularly lacking. The food had already been set up in the room before we arrived, and the waiter offered minimal assistance, only asking if we had lit the fire. There was no explanation of the dishes, nor was a menu provided. To make matters worse, the necessary cutlery for different courses was repeatedly overlooked, which detracted from the overall dining experience. The food itself was unremarkable and didn’t compare to what other hot spring hotels typically offer. The private onsen also posed a challenge. The water switch was broken, leaving no way to adjust the temperature or water flow, resulting in water that was uncomfortably hot throughout our stay. Breakfast the next morning was very basic and lacked the variety or creativity I’ve come to expect from similar establishments. Overall, the hotel did not live up to the standards I’ve experienced elsewhere and left much room for improvement.

The Maps lead us to further location And imagine we had passed the building like 3times back and forth but didn’t know that was it. Pls update the location on the maps here on trip. Room is ok, no shower room no big issue coz we go to onsen anyway. Got buffet dinner and breakfast. But receptionist didn’t update the breakfast cut off time is 8:45am and we reach there by 8:50 its already closed. One thing about japanese onsen resort is that they will close everything in the morning to prevent customer to fully utilise the facilities for what we paid for. We usually rest on the evening the day we arrive and only use the facilities in the morning. Not really recommended here coz they really scare their customer use the facilities😂

The room is quite spacious. The top floor boasts an onsen (hot spring bath) and a sauna, plus an ice machine and complimentary popsicles, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. It's under a kilometer from the JR station – not far, but not right next door either, though the walk is very pleasant and straightforward. The location is also convenient for exploring sights such as Tenman Shrine, Takayama Jinya, and the old town, all easily reachable on foot at a leisurely pace.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is incredibly convenient, just a five-minute walk to the right after exiting the JR and Nohi Bus stations. Right next door is Ajikura Tengoku, a popular Hida beef restaurant. My tip would be to head there early to grab a queue number, then you can comfortably wait back at the hotel. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are a decent size, and there's even a hot spring bath on the top floor! The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place!

GGuest UserThe hotel is decent. It features private onsen baths (with a 30-minute limit, operating on an honor system as there's no staff supervision) and public hot springs. Complimentary late-night snacks are also provided. It's conveniently located very close to the JR station and the Nohi Bus terminal, as well as the highly recommended Kuraaji Tengoku restaurant.

Jjialin820110The room was unusually spacious for Japan, complete with a genkan, and had a distinctly Japanese aesthetic. From the moment you enter, it's a shoes-off environment throughout the hotel. There were also two private onsen baths with outdoor views, which immediately set a tranquil mood – it would be even better in winter! Complimentary food and drinks were a fantastic bonus: probiotic drinks during the day, ice pops and small desserts in the evening, plus late-night ramen. The hotel seems to understand its slightly remote location, so they are incredibly generous with these perks! It's a bit of a distance from Shirakawa-go, but there's a shuttle service to the bus station, which is a short walk away. Remember to snap a photo of the shuttle schedule. This place is definitely ideal for those traveling by car. The complimentary yukata rental was perfect for taking beautiful photos around the hotel!

김쁘띠It's about 20 minutes from Gero Onsen. Of course, I went there by car. I visited by rental car. I chose it because it was a little different from Gero Onsen. It's a hot spring hotel with an atmosphere that almost all Japanese people use. The rooms are spacious and clean. It has an old atmosphere, but it's really nice. There's no elevator, but it's not difficult. The air is good, and both breakfast and dinner are delicious. But the hot spring is the real deal. I had a happy time and left. ^^

GGuest UserStayed there with as a family of 3. While I really wanted to like the ryokan due to the warm service and great feedback from friends, my own experience was a bit disappointing. We have stayed in many traditional ryokans prior to this and were familiar with the setup. We are appreciative with the warm service and sincere touches; like candies at check in, but the ryokan itself is really quite old and in need of a refresh. Our room is tucked away in a corner and required us to go down a small flight of stairs to reach. I am not sure if the location meant that is a bit colder than the rest of the rooms but we really did feel cold and the heating was inadequate. The in built heater would also stop and beep in the middle of the night, which led 2 of us falling sick at the start of the trip. We requested for a additional small heater which helped a bit. Second night, our 9yo son also got many mysterious bites all over his leg. He claimed to have seen a bug crawl under the tatami mat but we were not certain and therefore did not feedback to the ryokan as we only had one more remaining night to go. We had only stayed 1 night in nagoya's marriott associa hotel prior to our ryokan visit, and his skin improved after we left Takayama, leading us to think that it might have been the stay there.

HHOThe hotel is right next to the JR station, they also have a private parking, it is first come first service basis. There is also a small shop at the lobby area selling local products. Staffs were very welcoming. The public bath was spacious, the only down side was, there were A LOT of foreigners. Most of them has NO MANNERS in the public bath area. Some didn't take shower before going in the bath, some talking really loudly in their language, well, we could hear them clearly still; some soak their towels and long hair in the water. I really couldn't stand, I couldn't enjoy the bath at all. If you were looking for a calm retreat, this is not the place. We changed to another hotel the next day. I understand Japanese doesn't like confrontation, however, they have to do something to make sure, other guests could also enjoy their stay, and public bathing is so much about Japanese culture too, they shall educate people to respect their culture. Back to the hotel facility, room was very spacious and clean. The view was nice too from the top floor foot bath area. Breakfast was great too, they provide both western and Japanese options, it was tasty.
