This is a hotel with history and stories. The Japanese emperor and the great Japanese writer Natsume have stayed here. The hotel service is good and they will help deliver the luggage to the room. Check-in is at 3pm. We arrived at noon and could only go to Dogo Onsen Street for a walk and wait until after 3pm to go back to the hotel to rest. The kaiseki cuisine for dinner at the hotel is good, and the steak is very tender. There are Western and Japanese breakfast options, and we chose Japanese breakfast. The hotel's hot springs are average, on the second and third floors of the South Building, and the third floor is a cypress hot spring. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Dogo Onsen Station, which is quite close, but it is uphill from the station. We took a taxi from the hotel at Matsuyama City Station for 1,630 yen.
- Nice location. So close to Dogo Onsen street
- Clean and quiet, relatively large room space
- Grand bath is very simple and nice, has wonderful scenary views
- Breakfast is quite good compared to the other hotels in the same class
- Basic room charge is moderate, but additional charge for kid is quite expensive.
- Overall, strongly recommended. I would stay again if I get to Matsuyama again.
If you're traveling with family, especially with your parents, this is a place I definitely recommend!! The size of the place is so huge that even if there's nothing nearby, just playing around inside the place is so much fun! The quality of the breakfast, dinner, and buffet is amazing... There's a massage shop, table tennis table, bar, and more, so there's nothing you can't find. The hot springs are amazing, and it was perfect to enjoy the hot springs while looking out at the forest. ㅠㅠ If I go to Matsuyama next time, this is a place I'll definitely be visiting again!!
6 I stayed for the first time in a year and the building was beautiful and I was able to spend it comfortably. The morning buffet was delicious. The soba I ate for dinner was the most delicious. Naked wheat is delicious. The staff were all kind and really easy to spend. I had the staff here help me when I stayed 6 years ago. On this day, I was sorry for the inconvenience caused by the fact that my husband fell down at the morning venue when I was staying with my husband and I couldn't stand up at the step, and I read the ambulance. At that time, I am grateful to the manager and everyone else for their kindness. My husband has a chronic liver disease and died 4 years ago. Now we are visiting the places of memories that we traveled with our husband and wife. I will stop by again.
When you get to Dogo Onsen Station, just walk along this covered street, but you have to go up a hillside! Walking along the main road, there is a small road on a large slope. The room, large bath, and breakfast are all good!
The room was quite small, and the view from the window was a messy cityscape. You couldn't even see Matsuyama Castle from the room. Both the bedding and breakfast were of mediocre quality, which meant it wasn't great value for money.
However, the location was excellent. From Matsuyama Station, you can take tram line 3 or 5 to Okaido, and the hotel is just a two-minute walk from the tram stop. The hotel is surrounded by various dining options and is very close to department stores.
It's located right in front of the Okaido shopping arcade, so it's in a perfect location!
However, the rooms and bathroom smelled musty, perhaps because it's old.
The bathroom was a bit dirty, but there was a large bath, so it was nice to use it...
The breakfast was delicious, and the location was so great that everything else was forgivable.
The staff were friendly, and there were even Korean guests!
I made a reservation here because I was going to spend a lot of time nearby.
The staff were kind and very polite. The food was large and delicious using local products.
I walk a little on the slope from the place to the place to eat, but it is a good distance to walk while saying that there is a lot of green and I am looking forward to what kind of rice will come out.
It was said that the bath in the room also had a hot spring, but it was always kept at a constant temperature, and although it was 4 people, the hot water did not cool down and I was able to enjoy the bath.
Guests can also see the glass museum.
I had a very calm and enjoyable time. Thank you very much.
The staff is very friendly, patient and proactive to provide assistance. The room is small but the facilities are complete and exquisite. The breakfast is very delicious. There are free drinks available at dusk every night, which is very intimate. There is a direct airport bus near the hotel, but if it is not a self-driving tour, it is best to plan the transportation arrangement in advance, because the hotel is far from the railway station.
I use it to continue my business trip.
I healed in the hot spring ♪ breakfast is also ◎.

DDaily happyDuring my recent trip to Japan, I had the pleasure of staying at a hotel that also serves as a wedding venue and from the moment I arrived, the level of service was simply impeccable. The staff were not only gracious and professional, but also went out of their way to assist me at every turn, despite my lack of Japanese language skills. Their warm hospitality left a lasting impression and made me feel truly welcomed and cared for.
Though the room was compact, it was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully arranged. As a solo traveler, I found the space more than sufficient — cozy, comfortable, and a fantastic value for the price. It truly struck the perfect balance between affordability and quality.
A special mention goes to the amenities: the hotel provides a well-stocked amenity station at the reception, where guests can freely pick up whatever they need a detail that reflects the hotel’s attention to guest convenience.
While the location is a little removed from the city center, this wasn’t an issue at all for me, as I had a rental car. The added bonus? Free parking on-site, which made my stay even more convenient and budget-friendly.
Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways. With its blend of elegant ambiance, exceptional service, and thoughtful touches, it became a peaceful and comfortable base for my journey — one I would gladly return to and wholeheartedly recommend to fellow travelers.

GGuest UserHotel has some distance from the main Dogo mall but it has shuttle bus running every 10 mins from 3-10. Hotel itself is very clean and most of the staff were so friendly and carried traditional Japanese good manner.
My room is Japanese style and I love it. The breakfast was ok but the dinner was abundant, delicious and presented nicely. The staff named Itsuki Deguchi who took care my check in and dining service did a good job worthy to receive compliments.
Onsen was clean and very nice.
Will stay again next time

RRidleysretroThe location is good. Only 5 mins from the Dogo station and just beside Dogo Onsen. Room wise is not new, but clean and is still on a physical key system. The toilet has a bathtub and hot and cold water is using two tap scrolling system. I didn’t enjoy my sleep as there was a constant knocking sound at the closet which doesn’t seem to be from next door so it gives me the chills. Else it has its own Onsen and provides you with free sake and sweets. Overall I’ll give a 3.5 / 5 stars.

AAnonymous UserAttention Henro sama! Perfect stay almost across street from T49. I had walked that day from T46. Onsen use included with hotel stay. Onsen water hot and alkaline slimy, my legs feel so much better after an evening and a morning soak. Breakfast was of wide selection, very satisfying. Stand up shower stall a bonus! Drip coffee machine in room also a nice touch. Very smart, modern hotel.

EEnjoythelifeThe geographical environment is very good. The location is very convenient. There is a delicious barbecue restaurant.
And the hotel has free parking service, parked at the front entrance of the hotel
You can pick up your car at any time, which is very convenient for self-driving travel
Hotel facilities are very clean
The room was also very clean
