Smart room managed by 小爱同学。。。 possibly the most interactive and smartest of all voice control ”smart” system out of 5 hotels I stayed at during this trip to China. Not perfect... but pretty good!
Breakfast offered by hotel is buffet style! Good selection. Suitable for people who cannot have lactose. Chef also cooks a good selection of dishes if one has to dine in.
Many good reasons to pick this hotel... certainly a lovely hotel that is modern. Execution and attention to detail by builders not the best - crooked toilet bowl, bathroom fixtures crooked... Might not be a big deal but makes it less aesthetic.
It would be lovely if the hotel has a non- smoking policy throughout - considering health implications, pollution of a beautiful location and discomfort of non-smokers.
Our family of four stayed in a family room. The room was large and beautifully designed. Two 1.8-meter beds were comfortable for four people to sleep in. My daughter said she wanted to ”live” here. The hygiene was good and all corners were clean. The room was controlled by Baidu Smart Home. Switching lights, curtains, adjusting temperature, and setting alarms were all done by voice, which was very convenient. There was a projector in the room, and the distance from the bed was just right, so you could watch movies comfortably on the bed. The height of the bar was also very suitable for children to do homework on it. The service was also good. There were free tea and snacks next to the front desk, a cafe on the first floor, and a gym on the third floor. Unfortunately, my daughter's toes were broken and could not be touched by water, so she had not had time to experience the hot spring. The staff were very patient and called every day to ask if the bedding needed to be changed. As for the noise problem mentioned in other reviews, we did not hear it and slept well at night. Next to the hotel is the Sands Concert Hall, but we did not have a suitable performance to watch during the few days we were here, otherwise it would be more perfect.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. At first glance, it is a stunning, quaint hotel. Even though there are numerous no smeking signs, people were still smoking in the hotel. The first morning, I woke up with a stuff nose and a headache, because I could smell the cigarette smoke via the air conditioning. Each rolm has a wonderful screen and projector, but it is not foreigner-friendly...you have to have an Iqiyi account to watch movies. There is also no way of connecting a laptop or USB to the projector. The bathtub was faulty and even though I asked staff two days in a row to fix it, it still was not fixed. The water was leaving through the plug as fast as I was pouring it into the bathtub. They suggested that I just keep running the water, they did not care that I was using an enormous amount of water, which is bad for the environment. They suggested that I take a bath with the plastic sweet provider, which I did out of desperation. But I almost slipped and fell, which is very dangerous, especially for older people. Something That I did not pick up from the description, was that this hotel had a restaurant that provider live entertainment every night, which was extremely loud. The first night, they were noisy until about 11pm. The breakfast was traditional, but people would smoke in the breakfast area, which made it really unpleasant. The location is great, just a short walk from the park's entrance and there are many restaurants around.

There is room for improvements for pre-arrival communications with guests in English. The cake i received for my birthday is not nice, i would prefer to have a slice of good quality cake than a small cake which taste poor. Breakfast has met my expectations, wide in variety and good in taste, i especially liked the black stir fry noodles with vegetables. Egg station chef skills has to improve though - i didn’t like the taste of my customised scrambled eggs.
Love the variety of drinks selections - especially the grape juice!
Housekeeping forgot to put bath salts and one time use bathtub cover in our room.

My family and I visited Chengdu in June 2025 for 7 days and our stay at the Intercontinental was excellent. Jim and the team provided an exceptional and personalised service, even organising specific family-friendly day-trip activities for us based on our requests.
Having the waterpark just steps from our room was fantastic for the kids, they barely wanted to leave the hotel/mall complex.
Dining and entertainment options were great, leveraging the best of the hotel and of the mall. We ate a different place overnight with almost any cuisine you could desire.
We will be back again next year.

My family and I came to Leshan to play. We booked a twin room. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was designed with a double washbasin, so each person could have one without being crowded. The room had good lighting. The front desk could store luggage for free, with no time limit. The service was very good. The room was also soundproof. It was relatively quiet when sleeping at night. The bedding was very comfortable.

Booked for the hot springs which were great, very spacious and relaxing environment. Small indoor swimming pool but also a nice temperature for a relaxing swim. Good choice for buffet breakfast. Unfortunately the hotel does not cater for solo travellers eating dinner because food can only be ordered in large portions via an app catering for two or more people. Also a shame there is a robot and no human interaction if you want a coffee. The people working there are very friendly and helpful, robots are not! Easy access on foot to Exiu Lake and a short distance further to the mountain entrance.

Really lovely hotel right in the middle of the city. The decor is traditional with a nice modern vibe. The staff don’t speak much English, but they’re super friendly and try their best to help. Breakfast is mostly Chinese-style, but they’ve got bread and coffee for international travelers too.
I had a great stay at Snow Area Hot Spring Garden Hotel! It’s a very good hotel and a perfect base if you’re flying in or out of Yading Airport — they offer a free shuttle service, which is super convenient since the airport is about an hour’s drive away.
One of the highlights was the “midnight snack” they provide between 9 PM and midnight: a big bowl of delicious noodles and soup delivered right to your room. Honestly, it felt more like a full meal than a snack — so comforting after a long day!
The staff may not be fluent in English, but they are incredibly kind and tried their best to assist us. We felt very welcomed throughout our stay.
The room itself was spacious, well-equipped, and had everything a traveler could need. If you’re looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay before or after your Yading trip, I highly recommend Snow Area Hot Spring Garden Hotel!

Emeishan Hongzhushan Hotel is located at the foot of Mount Emei, a world natural and cultural heritage, less than 200 meters away from the famous temple ”Baoguo Temple”. Its predecessor was the Emeishan official residence built by the National Government for Chiang Kai-shek in 1935, where he lived during his tenure as the ”Officer Training Corps”.
The hotel's architectural style combines Chinese and Western styles, and follows the ”dragon and tiger leap” feng shui layout according to the mountain terrain, with the back of the mountain and the water in front, and the dispersed correspondence; taking advantage of the mountain, a unique downward extension structure is formed, and you can appreciate the unparalleled natural environment in the hotel without leaving your home. Looking down at the entire hotel, 9 villa-style floors are hidden on the side of the peaks, in the valleys, and in the corners of the lakes, and there are also pavilions, waterside pavilions, bridges and guest-only walking trails connecting them.
The hotel has 440,000 square meters of virgin forest, 100,000 square meters of natural lakes, radon hot springs with a mineralization age of 20 million years and a 5,000-meter hiking trail. The air negative oxygen ion monitoring value is 3,000 times the urban average. It is a well-deserved ”garden hotel, forest hotel”. In Sichuan Province, it is the only two state guesthouses that are on par with Chengdu Jinniu Hotel.
After the founding of New China, Hongzhushan Hotel is full of red genes and has repeatedly undertaken the reception and support tasks of party and state leaders. Building 3 is affectionately called the ”Marshal Building” and has successively received many founding marshals such as Zhu De, Peng Dehuai, and Chen Yi; and Building 2 ”Xiaoping Building” was stayed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping twice in 1965 and 1980. Building 1 provided life support services for Chairman Mao Zedong in 2010.
The Zen Mountain Residence in Building 7 where we stayed fully embodies the ”people-oriented” service concept: the service staff are humble and polite. The men are handsome and the ladies are pretty. The guest rooms are spacious, elegant and comfortable. The whole room is fully lit, with floor-to-ceiling windows, separating wet and dry areas, and separating movement and stillness. The balcony goes deep into the forest, forming the ultimate of borrowing scenery into the room, the room is in the scenery, the scenery follows the people, and the people are in the painting. Mr. Jin Yong praised it as: every window is a landscape painting. The hot spring is brought into the room, so that every guest can enjoy the best ”radon” hot springs in Mount Emei without leaving the house. The breakfast dishes are rich, combining Chinese and Western styles, and are carefully made. There are also local snacks and intangible cultural heritage of Mount Emei, such as Kabing, tofu brain, Bobo chicken, tangerine peel beef, etc., which are enough to satisfy the appetite of every diner.
In the morning and evening, you can see the lake and mountains when you walk in it. Birds and flowers are singing all the way, and the jungle is singing softly. Breathe the fresh air full of hydrogen ions, feel the moisture of the lake and the caress of the forest wind. “I am swimming in the painting, the painting is walking in the scenery, the scenery has entered my eyes, and I am also in the painting.” At that moment, nature and man are one, and I forget myself and the world.

JJaneyyy89This resort is nothing short of amazing and I would definitely rate this resort 10/10! I have a young toddler aged 18MO & elderly parents above 70YO during this stay and we absolutely loved our stay here. Value-for-money (we stayed during off-peak season, weekday, about RMB1000/night for our original room type), relatively new, clean & big rooms.
Some noteworthy details:
- Service is top-notched. Staff were friendly & very helpful. We could see that they really put in their heart into the work they do. They even gave our little one a panda toy & she loves it - a really nice gesture by the resort.
- The resort is located at Jintang, a hot spring precinct. With Trip.com, we booked the hotel bundle/package and it was fantastic. The key items in the package include:
(a) A free strawberry picking experience at a nearby humble farm called 许姐草莓采摘. Each booking entitles you to 500g worth of strawberries (transport at own expense, only about RMB10 by Didi). The strawberries were big and juicy, we were lucky cos they are in season now!
(b) 40-min Himalayan Salt Therapy/Bath for 1 pax/room
(c) Outdoor hot spring experience for the whole family (my 18MO loves it too!). There are many pools to choose from & we could find one which was not too hot for our baby. This is otherwise chargeable from RMB228/pax to RMB468/family of 2A1C.
(d) Bicycle rental, but we didn’t try it as it was too cold.
- Resort looks amazing, both indoors & outdoors! There were a number of activities for children to enjoy too but our naughty one is too young to appreciate it. Older kids will love them.
- We also loved the hotel’s concept of having complimentary bottles of distilled water etc. which is really important to us as we needed a lot of water for our baby’s food. This meant that that we did not have to go to the trouble of finding a supermarket, which is quite a distance away.
- We managed to snag a free upgrade to a Spring 2-Bedroom Villa due to our Accor Gold membership & it’s low peak season. All villas come with private pool - ours was available both on L1 & L2.
- Hotel uses quality furnishing & Toto toilet, definitely a plus. Water pressure is great too.
- We had all our meals at L’Orange as there are no nearby eateries & our time is limited due to our baby. The steamboat set is pricey but highly recommended! The fish & lamb meat (can be changed to beef at diner’s request) were fresh & really good. We liked all the other meat dishes too except for the dumplings. If you have Accor Plus membership, the usual discounts are available too. The hotel breakfast is also at the same restaurant. Breakfast selection was good even though there were not many guests.
Areas of improvement:
- Resort was able to provide a baby cot for our 18MO. However, the mattress was a little hard & the cot was creaky, it kept our baby awake.
- The air-con ventilation vents are directly above the baby cot and it became too cold for our baby in the middle of the night. Couldn’t adjust the temperature no matter what. The staff managed to made it warmer the following night but it resulted in some loud noises, probably issues with the damper.
- Rooms can be a little cleaner (e.g we saw dust balls on the floor).
Thank you Ocean Spring Resort Chengdu! We had a great stay here. Will definitely be back!
LLanJiangWe initially chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station and its recent opening. The drive up the narrow mountain road, full of sharp turns, was a bit unsettling for our city Didi driver, so we were secretly relieved (as was our driver) when we finally arrived. At first glance, the hotel seemed quite simple, and I wasn’t entirely sure I had made the right choice. However, any lingering doubts were quickly washed away by the warm welcome from Derek, the hotel manager, and the staff.
When we got to our room, it was pure joy! The minimalist design is visually soothing, and the balcony with its expansive mountain views made us feel like just hanging around and doing nothing was more than enough.
If you're the kind of traveler who feels guilty about not doing anything, rest assured that the hotel is in a beautiful section of the mountain. There's a lovely old temple and a sacred spring pond nearby—Zhongfeng Temple and Shenshui Pavilion, I believe. You’ll also enjoy the energy of hikers rushing up and down the mountain. There are enough people to make it lively but not overwhelmingly crowded like Leidongping or Jinding, where the crowds can be exhausting.
A special mention goes to Derek, who exceeded all our expectations. His kindness and professionalism reminded me of the kind of service you expect from a six-star hotel, where every need is anticipated. Derek went above and beyond, making our journey to Golden Summit and onward to Leshan much smoother and more enjoyable. Since we speak minimal Chinese, he kindly helped us communicate with the next hotel, explaining how to get there. He even offered us a free ride to the bus station when we struggled to find a Didi in the area. Derek also helped arrange our transfer to Leshan. We were incredibly impressed and grateful for his assistance.
If I had to suggest one area for improvement, I’d say the dinner options could use some enhancement to match the overall excellence of the stay.
A small tip: If your goal is to catch the sunrise and sunset at Golden Summit, you'll need to stay at one of the mountaintop hotels near Jinding. Logistically, getting to these hotels involves taking a bus from Baoguosi or Wuxiangang Station to Leidongping, then a cable car to the upper platform, followed by a roughly one-hour hike with steep steps to Jinding. It's manageable with a backpack, but not ideal with large luggage. That’s why we chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its close proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station, leaving our luggage there and heading up the mountain with just our backpacks.

GGuest UserIt is a cute hotel with a really awesome fruit platter that they present to you when you arrive! It has an abundance of fruit and different options, including longyan (longans!) The hotel is a bit hard to find--the Didi drivers usually get routed kind of to the parking entrance but I would just enter the little town directly from the front gate, not the parking garage. If you arrive during daytime hours, the general manager (she has short hair and wears a blue suit and glasses) will help you out because she is standing at a little kiosk at the front to welcome and greet guests. She is fantastic and one of the highlights of my entire stay. She was everywhere whenever I needed her. For example, she was there when I arrived, looking lost because I couldn't find the hotel and was a little confused on how to get inside (you might see this mural/hanging poster sort of situation and the lobby entrance is basically to the left of that). She was there in the morning when I was getting breakfast and was unfamiliar with some of the menu items. She was there when I was leaving and helped receive my kuaidi (courier) delivery too and pass it to me! She even reminded me of the benefits I have as a guest at the hotel (that I had actually forgotten about), like the afternoon tea experience that is included in the price of my stay. Even though I didn't use it immediately on arrival, she helped arrange it so I could use it the day I checked out and was leaving, so I got to enjoy some nice buckwheat tea and cookies after my hike and before my long train ride to my next destination!
She really cares about the comfort of her guests and everything that's going on at the hotel. Overall, a very relaxing stay and I appreciate my experience there.
Also, finally, the toiletries are amazing. They are bergamot-scented and actually very high quality. I've stayed at much more expensive hotels and these are by far the best toiletries I've ever used. The conditioner in particular is especially good and really moisturizes your hair.

DDaughterofEveThis a snugly, delightful and welcoming home-style hotel. Perfect for winter months, as the room is pleasantly comfortable has floor heating, has a fantastic shower where the water is hot, the beds and bedding are snug, parking is available and the general facilities are great. The rooms are cozy and hygienic, not a spot/ hair found on the white bedding, and bath towels were fresh and clean, with all noted products placed in the room.
There was a bath and shower in the room I booked, with a cute little outside area in front of the door. The receptionists are friendly and extremely helpful. They go the extra mile by doing their best to assist with questions and giving assistance as needed. Translation services are used. I arrived at the hotel after 11pm and someone was there to receive me and help me order food. I was helped with advice about traveling, restaurants, bookings and even escorted to a yummy restaurant close by. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the smart toilet, that flushes as soon as you sit down, and doesn't flush down everything. Breakfast is available at this hotel as well as drop off services, if the vehicle is available. There are also many shops and restaurants around, making it a convenient place to stay.
There's a free treat to have photos taken in ******* style clothing, though I strongly recommend paying the cost effective fee (150 yuan) if you want better quality clothing to model in (greater variety to choose from), and have a lovely pictures taken. The hotel has stunning backdrops for these. Make up services (with some jewelry) is also available for the photo shoot. It's easily accessible as it’s very close to the hotel. ( 1.5 minute walk), and there’s a WeChat contact number to add, or the friendly hotel receptionists will arrange it for you quickly. I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Oh! And the cute little tea set in the room (with bags of tea) was a lovely comfort after a long day of traveling. Fantastic hotel! Thanks ladies.
GGuest UserThe hotel environment is good, and the landscape design is thoughtful. The furniture is also a bit old, and it must have taken a lot of thought when it first opened. #Location Transportation is said to be halfway up the mountain, but it is more recommended for tourists who drive or hike. We told the store that we planned to take the cable car, so we listened to the front desk and took the small road to Feixian Temple and entered the scenic area from the side door. As a result, it was very embarrassing to get stuck in the middle. If you hike up to Laojun Pavilion, it will take another two hours. If you take the cable car, you have to walk down the mountain to the gate, and then queue up for a boat and cable car, which will delay time and waste energy. I wanted to save time and energy, but I was misled. It is also recommended that businesses do their homework before promoting their own location to avoid misleading tourists. #Room facilities The mountain view room is a double room. The space in the room is not large. The environment is the worst in this Chengdu trip. The environment outside the room is okay. Many facilities such as the gym and swimming pool lack maintenance. #Sanitation After staying for two nights, the sanitation was not cleaned. Only the garbage was taken out and the toiletries and towels were changed. The welcome fruit was not fresh. #Service The service staff were polite on the surface, but the service was not in place. In addition to the above problems, the service attitude of the restaurant is also unsatisfactory. On the first day of check-in, there were not many guests, so the breakfast was very simple. On the second day, there were many guests and a buffet breakfast service was provided. There were many choices. After all, the breakfast was marked as 68 per person. There was no explanation or compensation for the difference between the two days. The waiting time for dinner was even more outrageous. I made an appointment for dinner at more than 4 o'clock, but I didn't eat it until 7 o'clock. In addition, there was a pick-up service marked, but it was too far when I picked it up, and when I sent it, it was said that it would only be sent to the foot of the mountain. The experience was very bad. #Cost-effectiveness is not high. Five-star opening layout, four-star price, two-star room, and home-style service. Overall, it is not worth it. There are many cost-effective accommodations around. I feel sorry for the boss and change the service team as soon as possible.

GGuest UserFree days in the mountains, a place suitable for a short break from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The most surprising thing about this trip was picking wild Houttuynia cordata, which can relax and heal the body and mind. Of course, it is also very fragrant as a dish.
The boss and the housekeeper are very considerate, will prepare cushions for you to pick, and will also help take pictures 📷 haha
The sound system in the room is very powerful, playing your favorite songs in the small world, this is a feature.
It was also unexpected to send afternoon tea. The black chicken wild mushroom soup pot is highly recommended for dining, the ingredients are fresh and the taste is delicious.
What I hope to improve is that the hotel does not have a bed guard, which is not friendly to families with children. In addition, the room type is very exquisite, and Building 1 is not very quiet.
Overall, it is a good experience.
GGuest UserThe room is very clean and has a living room. It is quite spacious and suitable for bringing children. After climbing the mountain, the children played Lego in the living room. The hotel has a pick-up service, so you don't have to worry about it. The hot spring is indoors, so you don't have to worry about the children catching a cold. It's good. The dolls are very happy. I will choose it next time. It is suitable for the whole family to play together

LLawrenceI stayed at for three nights and was pleasantly surprised by this budget-friendly hotel. The **location is excellent** - close to public transport and within walking distance of several restaurants and shops.

Staff were **polite and efficient** during check-in/out. While there's no restaurant on-site, they offered good recommendations for nearby eateries. The **lobby has free coffee/tea** available all day.
**Perfect for travelers who want a clean, convenient place to sleep without luxury frills.** Would definitely stay here again on my next trip!
