I booked this B&B hotel near Wuding Gate, inside the ancient city. It's on a street but surprisingly quiet. The room was spacious and bright, with a charming Chinese decor, featuring a canopy bed with comfortable and soft bedding. The bathtub, toilet, and shower were all separate, which was great. They even offered afternoon tea and bead crafting. From here, you can easily walk to sights like the Daiwang Mansion, the city wall scenic area, the Sculpture Museum, and Huayan Temple. The freshly made pastries for breakfast every morning were delicious. It's an excellent choice for a relaxing stay within the ancient city.

This was my favorite hotel during my Shanxi trip, and here's why: 1. The hotel is a converted old mansion, full of character. The rooms are spotless, fully smart-enabled, and stylishly designed. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, with a choice of two pillows of different firmness levels. The mini-fridge also comes stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks. 2. The personalized and attentive service is a highlight of this boutique hotel. The staff were warm and proactive. Since we had an early train, they even prepared breakfast for us in advance. On our arrival day, they offered us delicious wontons for lunch to tide us over. 3. The location is excellent, not far from the North Gate, making it super convenient for exploring the ancient city. 4. The hotel provides complimentary transfers to and from the train station in a Mercedes van equipped with massage seats – they've really invested in top-notch amenities. 5. The value for money is outstanding. With such amenities and service, it's absolutely worth every penny. I'll definitely be back!

Our group of four went to the Shanxi First Hot Spring Hotel, thinking it would be conveniently located within the Wang Family Courtyard. We ended up loving it! The hotel environment was superb! 👍🏻 Getting up early to climb the city wall and see the swirling mist was like stepping into a fairyland. The air was fresh, the hot spring water smooth, and the night view even more beautiful! Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was plentiful! Everyone is planning to come back! The manager, Xiao Wang, and my husband hit it off immediately, and he even gave us souvenir coins!

I'm writing this detailed review about our stay at Taohuadao (Peach Blossom Island) during the weekend of March 21st. Our family of five visited Xinzhou Ancient City and booked our accommodation there. Taohuadao is conveniently located, just a 10-15 minute drive from Xinzhou West Station, and easy to find. We booked one duplex and one flat-level room. The 'Wenkui' duplex even had a small courtyard. The hot spring tub in the duplex allowed us to open the window while soaking, enjoying the warmth of the water on our bodies and the cool air on our faces – it was absolutely delightful. The hot spring tubs in both rooms were much larger than we expected. We even suggested to the owner that they update their online photos, as the current promotional pictures don't truly convey the size of the tubs. The owners treated every guest like family. Upon our arrival, they provided directions to the ancient city, recommended sightseeing routes, and thoughtfully provided us with bottled water and tissues. When we checked out, they guided us on how to book a taxi and even helped communicate with the driver. Overall, we had a fantastic weekend. The ancient city isn't very large, but the prices are reasonable, and there's an abundance of delicious food. It gives you a really warm and welcoming feeling.

The room still smells a little bit newly renovated. It is located on the bar street and it is very noisy. The front desk said that it will be arranged upstairs to make it less noisy, but the music in the bar next to it has been so loud that it makes people feel heartbroken. It has both points. Anyway, when I was lying on the bed, I regretted choosing this hotel. It's not close to the snack street, so you have to walk for a long time to get there. In short, except for those who like to stay up late at night, it's better to avoid lightning. The room facilities are okay, there is an automatic water dispenser, and the bath water is large, but the shower room and toilet are right next to the bed, which doesn't feel good. The so-called minibar snacks are just a pack of snacks.

My stay at Futiandahua Rain Hot Spring Hotel was absolutely fantastic! First off, the location is superb, right inside the ancient city. It's super close to where they do the iron flower show, which, by the way, is an absolute must-see. I'm getting on in years, but watching that show brought tears to my eyes; I was so moved by the performers' dedication and the incredible spectacle they put on. It's clear the hotel owner pays incredible attention to detail. My two girlfriends and I stayed in a triple room, and from the moment we walked into the lobby, we were gushing over the hotel's ambiance, the staff, and the room's decor. Every little detail was thoughtfully done. Even when we were heading out to explore the ancient city, the front desk proactively offered us a pack of tissues to take with us. The room itself was a standalone unit, so it was incredibly quiet. They delivered coffee and afternoon tea daily, and the fruit plate in the room was fresh. There was also a cooler in the lobby with bottled water available for guests. The whole room was smart-enabled with XiaoDu (a smart assistant), and the shower had great water pressure and was very comfortable, with a separate wet and dry area. Oh, one small thing: the trash can in the bathroom was a bit too small; I hope they can improve that. The private hot spring was amazing. After a full day of sightseeing, coming back to soak in the hot spring and chat was just pure bliss.

The best decision I made on this trip to Datong was choosing the Hidden Alley Homestay! It's located in an alley next to Kuixing Tower, offering a tranquil escape from the bustling city. You can walk to Daiwang Mansion and the Nine Dragon Screen in just 10 minutes, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the ancient city. The room was surprisingly spacious and clean, and the quality of the bedding was truly impressive. They even have a dedicated audio-visual room for movie nights, which made for a very enjoyable evening. The hot water in the bathroom was excellent, and the room itself was full of thoughtful details. The front desk staff was also incredibly warm and professional. They called me in advance to ask about my itinerary and shared some very practical travel tips. The local food and drinks they recommended were delicious too. Plus, there's a free parking lot, which is great for those traveling by car. That's why I extended my stay for another day! Next time I visit Datong with my parents, I'll definitely choose this place again. I've already recommended it to friends who are planning a trip to Datong – it's truly a hidden gem!

Because a hotel fell in love with a city, I decided to go to Zhangzhou temporarily. I found a hotel and looked at the decoration. The service was better. We arrived at the hotel at 9 pm on Thursday. It was a bit rainy. When someone waited at the door to guide the parking, there was a separate parking lot. Great, When we arrived at the front desk because the weather was bad that day, we arrived late, and we also helped us upgrade the room for free. We went to the ancient city to eat and have a special car transfer. We also took a small paper towel for me to put it in my pocket for a while to eat snacks. It was a bit cold at night. The young lady who picked up the car would also give me a nightgown. I was really touched. ～ Back to the hotel is an open-air hot spring pool. The service lady also helped us make tea intimately. The hot spring pool was disinfected twice. Put the water, there is a telescopic ceiling outdoors, a little rain, soaking in the bath and drinking the ice beer sent by the hotel. Order a fragrance, it’s not too comfortable, I’m too enjoying the details of the indoor facilities. The double basin, two people will not fight when washing, and there is a separate dressing table. Finally, I don’t need to stand and makeup in the hotel. ～ This trip was a bit temporary, I stayed for a day, but the experience was full. Next time I will bring my family to live in the villa of the hotel! Highly recommended! ! !

We checked into Yunman·Xi at 0930. We were afraid that we would not be able to find the hotel at night, so the lady came to pick us up at the parking lot of the ancient city bar. It is very convenient to park and take a taxi there. Facilities: There are not many rooms in the hotel. Each room has a private pool where you can put hot spring water for hot spring bathing (P6). There are curtains so you don’t have to worry about them showing through. It’s very comfortable. You can shower directly next to the pool. There is a Xiaoai classmate in the room, which can intelligently control the air conditioner and TV with voice. Environment: The hotel is decorated in a very bourgeois style, with a koi pond and camping chairs (P7-9, 11). It is very comfortable to drink tea and enjoy the breeze. There is an observation deck on the second floor. We checked in at night, and the night view was beautiful. During the day, refer to P8, 12-13, 1001🇨🇳 is also in time for the National Day When I checked out, I happened to encounter a truck transporting hot spring water (P14). The proprietress said that the store is close to the parking lot and transports it at least twice a day. The hot spring water released from the hot spring is all hot spring water. The temperature when it is transported is 50 degrees +, lower left corner It is the passage for transportation into each room of the hotel. It is imported from the truck with a hose. We were so busy watching this process that we forgot to take pictures hahh😂 I would also like to mention Yunman·Xi’s mascot (P15) - September (named September because they picked up a stray cat in September). It is a super beautiful silver gradient folded ear and very cute. Small, not afraid of life I stayed for one night and had a good rest. The proprietress and the ladies were very nice. I recommend everyone to choose their home and go to the hot springs again next time♨️

We stayed at the Xinzhou Anyin Hot Spring Resort with our two 70-year-old parents for two nights. Our entire family was delighted with our experience.
