It's about a 1km+ walk to Qilou Old Street, across the street and through the park, which takes about half an hour. The hotel's special feature is the deep well hot spring, and indeed, after showering, my skin felt incredibly smooth and comfortable. Additionally, the hotel offers various services like self-service laundry and airport transfers, and the breakfast is quite good. The downsides are that the bathroom had a slight odor, and there was some noise at night.

LLost_in_the_JungleLet me first say, hotels are always looking for a good review, but I will only give a good review if I honestly feel they deserve it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Qixian~ the resort grounds are absolutely stunning. My husband and I were so pleasantly surprised to discover that the resort has been thoughtfully designed to feel part of the rainforest. Everywhere you look there are giant boulders, gurgling clear streams, ancient trees and hidden trails that make you feel you are walking deep in a forest. All you hear are the birds and the water rushing in the streams! We have travelled all over China, and this is the quietest, most authentic feeling nature spot we have ever experienced.
In addition, there are so many hot springs you can choose to relax in, or you can use the hot spring attached to your balcony!
The restaurant has a good variety and we liked everything we ordered, it was fresh and flavorful, we tried the pork ribs and braised tofu, both delicious, but the green coconut filled buns were a perfect ending!
The lobby staff was friendly and helpful, and gave us all kinds of upgrades! You can get pickup on the carts anytime, but we preferred to walk and enjoy the beauty, the resort grounds feel huge, but honestly its well designed so you can reach any spot in 5-10 minutes.
Also, they have all kinds of activities you can join. We really enjoyed the rainforest walk, the lady from the Li family that conducted the walk was so lovely, we could tell she really had a connection to the forest and just radiated joy as she showed us all the plants, it was one of the highlights of our stay!
Our room was clean, the sheets were soft and the bed was comfortable. The view onto the palm forest was so relaxing to look at as we soaked in the spring.
The infinity pool was spectacular, the setting is gorgeous and peaceful. The coconuts and dessert we ordered were really good, however, the drinks we ordered were awful and maybe they can get some more outgoing staff to work at the pool bar, maybe because it was winter time and less people are at the pool?
Breakfast is served in a building that overlooks the river, there is ALL kinds of food, if you are a Westerner you can find fried eggs, toast, and pastries. But I recommend going to the area where fresh rice noodle is made for you on the spot, add toppings and fried eggs, it was delicious!
There are some rustic areas to the resort- it feels a bit abandoned in areas, like its just too big to keep up with ie. Giant empty pools, some of the buildings look in desperate need of refurbishing, but overall we felt like the resort was truly beautiful and amenities really made this a great value for the price we paid. We are already planning to come back when we need a break from the city!

GGuest UserFacilities: There's a sizable swimming pool, which made me feel at ease letting my kids play there, especially since it's cleaned regularly. The hotel room also has a bathtub, which is great for a relaxing soak.
Cleanliness: The room was spotless, the toilet was stain-free, and I slept very comfortably. There were no unpleasant odors in the room.
Environment: The room was very spacious, making for a comfortable and uncrowded stay during our trip. The surrounding area was quite peaceful, with no noisy construction sounds, which led to excellent sleep.
Service: Monica provided fantastic service; she was always smiling and incredibly helpful, answering all our questions. She truly added to our positive experience. I'll definitely choose Mission Hills Hotel again for my next visit.

GGuest UserI stayed at the Sheraton Haikou during the off-season this time. There were very few people, and whenever the sun was out, the hotel's public areas looked beautiful no matter where you took a photo.
The breakfast was of a standard quality; I overslept on the second day and missed it.
The butler service was very attentive. I casually asked if the hotel sold swimming caps, and a staff member immediately delivered one to my room.
Since my flight was in the evening, I asked for a late check-out until 5 PM, and they readily agreed. This was probably because it was the off-season and rooms weren't in high demand. I got to relax at the hotel all afternoon before heading to the airport without any rush.
For these three days, I barely left the hotel. I re-watched 'My Sunshine' countless times in my room, and when I got tired of that, the beach was just a five-minute walk away. Before 10 AM, there were hardly any people, and it felt like the entire ocean belonged to me. In the evening at 7 PM, there was a HH performance by the pool, which you could catch while having dinner, swimming, or soaking in the hot springs.
Overall, the experience was quiet and comfortable. I'm planning to bring my mom next time; it's very suitable for seniors and children.

GGuest UserThe DoubleTree by Hilton Spa Hotel truly made our family vacation special, right from check-in to check-out, thanks to the professional and warm service of Helen at the front desk. We were quite tired from our journey, but Helen greeted us with a smile and quickly processed our check-in. She also proactively introduced us to the hotel's unique hot springs, pool opening hours, and activities for families. Over the next few days, every time we passed the front desk, Helen would greet us warmly and ask if we needed any help. She even recommended some authentic local eateries that only locals would know about. The hotel itself was also impeccable: the room was clean and spacious, housekeeping was meticulous, and the balcony offered a lovely view of the lush garden. The hot springs had a great variety of pools, and soaking in them at night was incredibly relaxing. Breakfast offered a wide selection; my child especially loved the waffles, and I really enjoyed the coffee. A big thank you to Helen; she not only demonstrated Hilton's standard of professional service but also made us feel like family with her genuine warmth and care.

GGuest UserThe room was spacious and the environment was excellent. It's impressive that an older hotel can maintain such cleanliness and tidiness; truly befitting a star-rated establishment. The hygiene inside was also very good. The hotel breakfast was rich and varied. Front desk staff LindaShela and MavisShela were very helpful and answered all our questions. Kevin Huang expertly handled our luggage arrangements, and the doorman always opened the door for us and assisted with our bags every time we left. The surroundings were very quiet, and the hot springs were comfortable. The pool was also large, though it was a bit too cold to swim in after the hot springs. I would definitely come back again if I have the chance.

GGuest UserI'm not sure if it's called Haikou State Guest House or Fairmont Haikou, but its location is excellent, with beautiful sea views. The hotel facilities are very high-end; you can tell it was a very upscale hotel many years ago. It also has a swimming pool. Both the breakfast and the paid dinner at the hotel were quite good, and the staff were all very friendly and promptly resolved any issues when called. The only downside is that the carpet in the room should be replaced; the entire room smelled musty, and the bedding was the same.

AAnnieWe went in mid June, rainy season so it was low season. For the price that we paid for the 2 bedroom villa, which included breakfast (at another hotel) entry to ocean park, The Five Country Hot Spring City, and personal shuttle bus service within the island. I think it was well worth it. Service was prompt and courteous, although communication was all through WeChat and in Chinese. Convenient but knowing sone Chinese would be better to utilize services . We stayed in the Japanese style villa, and it was tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable. We especially loved having our own dry and steam sauna, and our own personal outdoor hot spring bath! Real hot spring mineral water! I recommend this place especially for people who love hot spring baths and want to avoid busy touristy hotels.
Cleanliness: overall quite clean.
Location: walking distance to ocean park and hot spring city, so quite convenient. 5-10 minutes shuttle ride to most places within the island.
Service: knowing someone is available 24 hours was nice. They were eager to help with whatever we needed. The main concierge during the day was more friendly, competent and experienced.
Amenities: everything we needed was provided. There was a Dyson hair dryer, fridge etc. If you are picky about your shampoo soaps etc, you may want to bring your own. But they do provide them.

GGuest UserThe room was great. I have to thank Trip.com, as I booked the wrong dates and they helped me get a full refund for those days, which I really appreciate.
However, the Eurotel is supposed to be a bit grander. My parents and I booked a suite, and I was going to sleep on the sofa for a night. I asked for an extra blanket, but the service here is quite inconsistent. The last staff member I spoke to helped me with the blanket, but the previous ones all said they didn't have any. It's not a big deal, but these small things make you feel uncomfortable. They told me all the blankets were checked out and there were no spares, but there were plenty of empty rooms online. Are you really telling me you'd rather leave rooms empty than give a guest an extra blanket? I ended up getting quite angry and complaining to customer service. Who wants to lose their temper during the New Year holiday?! Although it was eventually resolved, it still left a bad taste in my mouth.
