Hanoi Metro Map: Lines, Stations and Travel Guide

Hanoi Metro Map

Hanoi is known for busy roads and thousands of motorbikes, but the Hanoi Metro offers a faster and more comfortable way to travel. The network is still small, with two operating sections, but it is useful for reaching Cát Linh, Royal City, Cầu Giấy, Hà Đông, and several local neighborhoods.

❤️ Pro Tip: Book your flights from Manila to Hanoi and Hanoi hotels early for more choices and better rates. The metro does not currently reach Noi Bai International Airport or the Old Quarter, so check nearby bus and taxi connections when choosing your hotel.

As of 2026, Hanoi has two operating metro sections with 20 open stations. Line 2A has 12 stations between Cát Linh and Yên Nghĩa, while the open section of Line 3 has eight stations between Nhổn and Cầu Giấy.

We stayed here as a family of five (2 adults and 3 children) during our layover from Nha Trang. We had a large suite with multiple bedrooms. Everything was clean and nice, and the service was good. They met us at the airport, brought us to the hotel, and checked us in quickly. They also recommended places to go for a walk. In the morning, they took us back to the airport. The transfer was available for an additional fee.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Oriental Jade Hotel, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, I was incredibly impressed by the genuine hospitality and the warm, welcoming attitude of the entire staff. Every team member I interacted with went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable, demonstrating a level of attentive, personalized service that is rare to find. A major highlight of the experience was the hotel breakfast. The food was absolutely excellent—fresh, delicious, and offering a fantastic variety to start the day off right. I really enjoyed every aspect of my stay and left feeling completely refreshed. If you are looking for a hotel with a dedicated team that truly cares about your experience, look no further. Very attentive. Fast and efficient staff. It was my mom’s birthday and they went above and beyond to make the day special.  The staff are all friendly . When we needed a shower chair for our senior citizen mother, within minutes it came up to our room.  I felt that this small request made us feel extemely special to them.  The door staff are so attentive and chatty. Its a good feel for making us so special.

I booked this hotel for my friend and they absolutely loved it. It's a long-standing 5-star hotel in Hanoi. Even though the hotel has been around for quite some time, they've done an excellent job with upgrades and renovations, so I still felt the cleanliness, luxury, and convenience. The staff are exceptionally well-trained, from the doormen to the front desk, and all hotel employees. I had the chance to dine at the Ngân Đình Chinese restaurant and the buffet restaurant. The food at Ngân Đình was incredibly delicious; compared to other hotels in Hanoi, it was much better, and the prices were very reasonable!

Booked this primarily for the Pullman brand, but it really only felt like a 4-star hotel. It was decent, nothing spectacular. The room was spacious, but the facilities were a bit old, the lighting was dim, and it only had a bathtub. The service, however, was excellent. The hotel's location isn't in the old town, but you can walk to places like the Temple of Literature, the Fine Arts Museum, and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum within 30 minutes. There's a Highlands Coffee right outside the hotel, and a new shopping mall just down the street.

A hidden gem in the heart of the city! ♥ The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The environment is beautiful and clean, and despite being on a main street, it wasn't too noisy. The soundproofing could be a little better, though. All sorts of trendy eateries and attractions are within walking distance. They have a gym, a swimming pool, and even a DIY Mojito bar, which was a fun touch! 😂 Breakfast was also really rich and varied. We stayed with our child, and the hygiene was excellent. The design is very thoughtful, with smart glass that allowed my kid to watch TV while showering, haha. Our luggage was stored perfectly, too. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Vietnam! ❤️

The staff were friendly and helpful. Can’t do enough for you. Location was very strategic, right in the center of Old Quarters. Everything within easy walking distance. Lots of good food and massage places. Very near the lake. The waiter for breakfast was full of energy and work super fast. Would be good to have someone to help him on the floor. Just to highlight be aware there is road closure on Fridays to Sundays evenings. So if u are arriving or departing, the taxi might not be able to drop or meet you at the hotel. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The hotel is very clean throughout, and the rooms are surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The bed was excellent, and I slept very well every night. A special highlight was my birthday during the stay. The staff somehow found out and surprised me with beautiful birthday desserts in the evening. It was such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that made my trip even more memorable. The breakfast was nice with a good variety of options, fresh fruits, and tasty Vietnamese and Western dishes — perfect to start the day. The location is also fantastic. Overall, it is good for my family of 4 members. The room space is about OK, not too small, and has the balcony that big enough for 2 people to sit for coffeein the morning and beer in the evening. The amenities is adequate for all of us. All the staff members are friendly a nd helpful. Breakfast is good enough to start the day. The AC and water are strong, room is clean and tidy. The 4 star might not meet the international standard, but the location can compensate that. The price is not very reasonable but acceptable. The airport drop off is a little bit higher than Grab but convenient and good in overall service. Cash is preferable, credit card is 5% extra charge. The hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance to all the attractions around Hoan Kiem Lake. With a history of 125 years, the hotel is rich in historical and cultural heritage. During my stay, there was even a hotel photo exhibition, making the hotel itself feel like a small museum. It's well worth spending half a day just exploring the premises. My room, located in the Opera Wing, featured a modern layout and decor. The facilities were well-maintained and didn't feel outdated, making for a very comfortable stay. This booking also included executive lounge access. The afternoon tea offerings were quite good, and the happy hour provided a wide selection of drinks, accompanied by a beautiful guzheng performance. The hotel's service is another major highlight, truly setting the standard for hospitality in Hanoi. I dined at the hotel's Executive Lounge, SPICE GARDEN, and LE CLUB BAR, and also used the swimming pool. The staff at all these venues provided outstanding service – they were enthusiastic, professional, and very courteous. When checking in, I simply mentioned that I would be moving to the hotel next door the following day. To my surprise, upon checkout, the front desk proactively arranged for my luggage to be transferred to the adjacent hotel. Such thoughtful service!

The hotel is perfectly located on the edge of Hanoi’s Old Quarter and very close to Train Street. From our room, we had a fantastic view of the railway and could watch the trains passing by from above, as well as all the excitement among the people waiting for them. Many of Hanoi’s main sights are within walking distance, and for everything else, it is very easy to take a taxi. The breakfast buffet is extensive, varied and leaves nothing to be desired. Enjoying breakfast with the beautiful panoramic view over Hanoi was a wonderful way to start the day. The Vietnamese coffee is also available to take away, which we really appreciated. The entire team was incredibly friendly, helpful and solution-oriented, no matter whether we had a small question or needed help with something more complicated. They are exceptionally attentive and often seem to know what their guests need before they even have to ask. The only minor downside is that the rooms are slightly noisy towards the hallway, especially when people are walking past or talking outside. However, this is really just a small detail and certainly complaining at a very high level. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

I had an amazing stay at Dolce by Wyndham Hanoi Golden Lake and it was truly one of the most unique hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, the service felt luxurious and welcoming. The complimentary macarons on arrival were a lovely touch and immediately set the tone for the stay. The hotel’s attention to detail and presentation really stood out throughout the entire experience. The room itself was incredibly spacious, modern, and comfortable, with stunning views across Hanoi. Large windows filled the room with natural light, and the overall atmosphere felt elegant and relaxing. Of course, the biggest highlight was the hotel’s signature gold-themed interior. The golden bath and even the gold toilet made the stay feel both extravagant and memorable , definitely something you don’t experience every day. Everything was beautifully designed and added to the hotel’s unique character. Another standout feature was the famous gold infinity pool. Swimming there while overlooking the city skyline was unforgettable. The rooftop atmosphere was calm and luxurious, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the views. Everything was perfect – from the front desk staff and the room to the service and breakfast. This is the best accommodation our group has ever stayed in, and we still rave about it. I stayed at Golden Silk for 5 nights. 2 booked thru trip and 3 that I extended directly. The location is hard to beat. Bang in the center of old quarter steps away from Hoan Kiem Lake. The rooms are pretty tired as other people have noted. An upgrade may help but is not a deal breaker. Housekeeping is great. The pricing is a bit higher online but you can book directly and get a better price. The breakfast is okay, nothing great but whatever is available is pretty good. Restaurant staff is really great. The front staff is a mix with a few ones condescending to borderline rude. Not sure if that's consistent for all travelers or reserved for certain set of travelers. For USD 60 a night i think its a good choice considering the location.

I'd been eyeing this hotel since last year, thinking I'd make a trip to Hanoi just for it. A week before my trip, I emailed the hotel to sort out some details, and the cake they made was exactly the flavor I requested – absolutely perfect. When I arrived, it certainly didn't disappoint. Stepping into the hotel, I was immediately enveloped by Bill Bensley's maximalist, opera-house-inspired design. Check-in coincided perfectly with afternoon tea, so I picked out a few cakes, savory bites, and drinks (highly recommend the apple cucumber kombucha). Time just flew by until the evening jazz performance; listening to the elegant jazz music and enjoying unlimited special concoctions was pure bliss. Dinner was at The Hudson Rooms on the top floor. I casually ordered a steak and an appetizer. The steak itself was a good cut, but it was a bit overcooked, so the server kindly offered me two complimentary desserts (both were delicious!). She also booked me a table at the mysterious speakeasy, Bar 61. Of course, getting in still required solving a riddle to find the key and unlock the door. There, I tried their exclusive whiskies and cocktails. I'd already lost count of how many drinks I'd had since walking into the hotel – this place truly is a paradise for dessert lovers and whiskey enthusiasts! After drinks, I returned to my room to find the turndown service complete, and a hot, bubbly bath with rose petals already drawn. I put on the hotel's jazz playlist and soaked in the tub – it was incredibly comfortable. 🥰 After a restful night, I woke up the next day for the long-awaited breakfast. It was primarily à la carte. I tried their pho, which was incredibly fresh and sweet with a generous portion of beef. The spring rolls were unbelievably soft and delicious. Even as someone who doesn't typically like coffee, their egg coffee won me over. Paired with fresh French oysters, it felt like I wouldn't need to eat for the rest of the day after that meal.

Initially as we checked in to Diamond Westlake suites our first impression was that it was more a 3 star than a 4 star. The apartment and provisions are very basic. The apartment is a bit old and feels a bit tired. However, the space is good, and the pool very nice. The breakfast was fine with enough variety for different tastes. We also ate in the restaurant on our first night. It was a bit quiet so we were a little nervous but the food was absolutely delicious. A great introduction to vietnamese food. There is also a small shop immediately below the lobby area which is very convenient. We didn't have much interaction from staff, so hard to judge the service but I guess we didn't notice a particularly welcoming effort. Despite this we enjoyed our stay. It was convenient to travel to Hanoi, about 15minutes in the taxi, also a short walk away there are shops and restaurants. Overall everything is fine, a convenient place to stay for families and if you want to stay in a quieter area away from Hanoi. No major problems, but not really a 4 star quality feel. More attention to detail in cleanliness and service would make a huge difference.

I'd say you get what you pay for but nobody should have to endure that after travelling halfway across the world. The hostel needs to operate a ”Quiet Hours Policy” like most places do now. Only on this basis i wouldnt stay again.

I highly highly recommend this hotel! I travelled with 3 other friends and opted for a connecting room — The rooms were spacious, clean and beds were comfortable. (It was 2 separate rooms but we shared one corridor that we could lock) What made the trip even better was the service. We were warmly welcomed in with some drinks and snacks, borrowed umbrellas, all our requests were met. The food was yummmmyy! Could choose from the buffet spread and the pho/eggs that was made upon order. Besides that, breakfast was made and packed for us when we had to leave early in the morning and couldn’t dine in. That was so sweet of them to do! The location is also very good as it was near A LOT of michelin restaurants! Will stay again!!

The room was spacious, and the service was very attentive; staff even helped carry our luggage to the room. The hotel's location is excellent, making shopping and dining very convenient, with a mall and supermarket nearby. There's also a small lake next to it, which is a great bonus for morning runners. Right by the lake, there's a branch of Pho 10, a famous pho restaurant that President Obama once visited. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by the rich aroma of beef broth, which is somewhat similar to the scent of Northwestern Chinese beef noodle soup, yet distinctly different. Do note that an additional tax is charged when dining here.

I booked the room, arrived at the hotel to check-in, and got told that the room I booked, was not available. They moved us to the Splendid Hotel, opposite. It wasn't bad, but it was a massive price difference. Only something I looked into the following morning. I was not happy with that sort of dishonesty. I did not even get compensated. So, I'm not going to advise, nor book this hotel again. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this good hotel

Staffs were very nice, polite, professional and helpful. Location was great, many nice foods around. Room is big & clean. Except the shower room water does not go down, water will flood out to floor within one minute, and because at night there’s no one at the reception, I couldn’t have a shower at all.

The room layout was excellent and very spacious. I booked a king-size room which came with a living room, a separate bedroom, two bathrooms, and two TVs. The breakfast spread was fantastic, offering a great variety of Western, Chinese, and Asian options, along with beautiful desserts. The in-room dining was also delicious. The staff were all incredibly friendly and genuinely welcoming, without being overly effusive or theatrical.

The hotel is located in the middle of Hanoi's tourist Old Quarter and is decorated in French style. For me the hotel had the perfect location. There is nothing negative about the entire hotel! Particularly noteworthy was the incredibly friendly and courteous staff!! I can only warmly recommend this hotel to every visitor to Hanoi and thanks again to the great staff!!

The service at two hotel restaurants are disappointing. 3Spoons offered A La Carte breakfast menu and when I plan to go inside on 4/8, the receptionist named Ngan said it would take 40 minutes to have the food ready. It’s a bad experience to discourage a guest to go inside, given a booking was made at 10am before already. The second strange thing is Stella Steakhouse. We visited it on 3 Aug night and there was only one table. We ordered five sets for ourselves n 3 kids. Before we start the main, the male manager came and asked us for ordering a desert. We’re quick to order five ice cream. After the main was done, I found too full and I knew they said ice cream would not be served until we finished our main. I asked the female waitress to cancel one ice cream and she said the male manager said can’t cos the order already delivered to the kitchen… that was disappointing again. The services of two in-house intercontinental restaurants should not be meeting to a five star hotel restaurant.

Honestly, there's no need to stay here. The downstairs area is just average, and I didn't even end up going there. If you're traveling with friends, it's better to choose a place with convenient dining options. I spent a lot on taxis this trip, which I could have completely saved by staying somewhere more convenient (though I haven't checked other hotel prices). The breakfast, however, was quite good. Overall, despite the limited dining options nearby, I was pretty satisfied.

A high-quality business-class Movenpick hotel. The new district is clean and quiet, and the rooms are brand new and spacious. It comes with a full set of amenities including a pool and gym, and the breakfast offers a great mix of Western and Asian options. Grab taxis are readily available, making it convenient for business trips to Hanoi. The excellent sleep environment and outstanding value for money make it highly recommended for business travelers. The breakfast pho is absolutely amazing!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Aira. This is a great boutique hotel. The staff are friendly, the rooms are beautiful and the location is great. Although the rooms were not large, this did not pose a problem for us as we were out most of the day. We still managed to fit us and a cot into the room. We highly recommend this hotel if you’re considering a visit to Hanoi.

This was a small boutique hotel located by Hoan Kiem Lake. The room was smaller than I expected, and the water pressure was a bit low, which were the only minor inconveniences. Other than that, it's generally a recommendable place to stay. The breakfast was ordinary but not bad, and the overall service and cleanliness were also commendable. Next time I visit Hanoi, I'd probably prefer a larger hotel. However, for a one-night stay when you want to enjoy the hustle and bustle near Hoan Kiem Lake, this hotel is a solid choice.

I’ve been to Hanoi a few times and hotel service here is generally good, but Solaria truly stood out for us from the moment we stepped in, all the way to when we left and were warmly sent off by the porter. The level of service was impeccable. The hotel itself was excellent, cleanliness, welcome drinks, snacks, and overall comfort were all on point. Everything felt thoughtful and well taken care of. A special shoutout to two wonderful staff members who made our stay even more memorable: 1. Daria: During breakfast, we asked about the special chili salt powder served with fruits (it was amazingly tasty!). Daria not only explained where we could get it from a local mart, but also thoughtfully packed some in a container for us to bring home. Funny enough, we loved it so much that we bought fresh mango that same night and finished everything immediately! 2. Lily (Reception): We would like to give our heartfelt compliments to her, who assisted us from our first day to the last. She brought us on a room tour, polite, friendly, and answered all our typical tourist questions with ease. As we had requested a high floor, we were assigned one of the highest floors in the hotel. Lily thoughtfully informed us that the restaurant is located right above and operates until 10pm, so there might be slight noise until then. She checked if we were light sleepers and offered us the option to change to a lower floor for the remaining nights if it became an issue. The next morning at breakfast, she personally checked in with us again regarding the room, and it turned out to be perfectly fine for us, we didn’t notice much noise as we were still awake around that time. Since this was our anniversary trip (which I had indicated in the hotel remarks), our room was beautifully decorated with towel-shaped swans and rose petals, a really lovely touch. The next morning at breakfast, after our meal, Lily came by and presented us with a specially made coconut pandan pudding dessert. She shared that it was prepared for us today as we seemed a little tired from traveling the day before. During breakfast as well, Lily brought up about our request with housekeeping team for a firm pillow from the night before. Although we were initially told only one type was available, she took the initiative to explain and said she would try to source one for us. That very night, I received a firm pillow, truly thoughtful service. Lily also helped us plan our travel time to the airport, offered to assist with booking the hotel spa via her personal contact, and gave fantastic local food recommendations like cháo sườn with quẩy and rượu (sadly the shop was closed when we arrived, but it’s definitely on my list for my next trip to Hanoi). What really stood out is how Lily picks up on small cues and chooses the right moment to communicate, making everything feel very natural and personalized rather than forced. There was even more she helped us with along the way, always attentive and proactive, which really made a difference to our stay. To top it all off, during checkout, we were gifted local souvenirs, Trung Nguyen coffee drip filter and coffee powder, which was such a lovely and thoughtful gesture. Overall, an outstanding stay. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return on our next trip to Hanoi 🩷

Staying here 3 nights for our Hanoi trip! Everything was good! Their staff giving us super friendly and helpful info. At first, we only stayed here 1 night then we went to Halong Bay and back 3 days later but that night we continue our Sapa trip. But taking night train, Ms Trang is so helpful and arrange us to shower at their Spa’a bathrooms and provide us towels and shampoo. Ms Lyly is the best who help us made restaurants booking and provide info during our Hanoi trip. Really enjoyed our stays in Hanoi with their service.

Hmm, this hotel is pretty good and offers great value for money. The beds are clean, and the shower has good water pressure and hot water. There's also a gym and a swimming pool on the rooftop. The service is excellent, and the breakfast is a buffet with a wide variety of options. The location is down a small alley, which is great because it's very quiet. The only slight downside (0.5 points deducted) is that there aren't many food options nearby; you have to walk a bit further to find places to eat. This isn't an issue if you're taking a taxi everywhere, though.

The room is massive for 3 people ~ there are 2 toliet ,a washing machine , a dryer and a well equipped kitchen! Very clean n tidy even got a sauna and steam , big gym and a pool ! Love it ! However they need to improve in service, there are few receptionists aren’t polite and seems lost when I ask them questions . When I check in, there’s only a lady to welcome me and I have to carry the luggages on my own to the room, zero service provided. And at first there are issue with the stove and the tv , I called the receptionist for help but I waited more than 30mins still no one came. I wonder if this is due to not near city centre so the service is not as good (?) The breakfast is so-so, not ALOT of choice But one good thing is they got free shuttle but the time slot is kinda weird and very rare. However it might not be super convenient if you are going to explore hanoi , if you take grab everywhere is not a concern , also kinda close to big supermarket and 30mins drive to airport !

The hotel is located near Hoan Kiem Lake in the center of Hanoi, and is not far from 36th Street, Train Street, St. Joseph's Cathedral and Ho Chi Minh Memorial Hall. Hotel service is very good, the facilities feel a bit long, the room near the street will be noisy at night, we stayed in the first night by the street with a balcony room, because I sleep not very well, I feel a bit noisy. After communicating with the hotel, we quickly changed two rooms that were not on the street. Thank you very much to the ladies at the front desk.

The facilities are run-down; there's a musty carpet smell as soon as you walk in. The air conditioning is absolutely terrible; it ran all day and the room was still 27.5 degrees Celsius. I booked for two days and they wouldn't even let me cancel one. Such a rip-off! Plus, I don't know which floor is under renovation, but there was construction noise throughout the building all day.
