Hanoi Metro Map: Lines, Stations and Travel Guide

Hanoi Metro Map

Hanoi is known for busy roads and thousands of motorbikes, but the Hanoi Metro offers a faster and more comfortable way to travel. The network is still small, with two operating sections, but it is useful for reaching Cát Linh, Royal City, Cầu Giấy, Hà Đông, and several local neighborhoods.

❤️ Pro Tip: Book your flights from Manila to Hanoi and Hanoi hotels early for more choices and better rates. The metro does not currently reach Noi Bai International Airport or the Old Quarter, so check nearby bus and taxi connections when choosing your hotel.

As of 2026, Hanoi has two operating metro sections with 20 open stations. Line 2A has 12 stations between Cát Linh and Yên Nghĩa, while the open section of Line 3 has eight stations between Nhổn and Cầu Giấy.

Staff is very nice and helpful, room is clean. However it is strange that the facilities is not a really 5 star hotel, very nearly 3.5-4. Rooms are not beautiful as photo shown and looks old, even the wooden door need close carefully as it is not able to lock smoothly. Only very basic/ necessary toiletries like shampoo and soap is provided in room. no teeth brush and lotion. The room have a sign that you may ask for item by request, however frontdesk sometimes forgot and do not provide quickly. it is disappointing that is 5 star rated hotel, top 13 best hotel but not with everything we expected.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Oriental Jade Hotel, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, I was incredibly impressed by the genuine hospitality and the warm, welcoming attitude of the entire staff. Every team member I interacted with went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable, demonstrating a level of attentive, personalized service that is rare to find. A major highlight of the experience was the hotel breakfast. The food was absolutely excellent—fresh, delicious, and offering a fantastic variety to start the day off right. I really enjoyed every aspect of my stay and left feeling completely refreshed. If you are looking for a hotel with a dedicated team that truly cares about your experience, look no further. The hotel rooms are spacious and well-equipped, though a bit old-fashioned. The bathtub isn't very practical for use, but the surrounding area is very convenient. The hotel is located right in the heart of the old quarters. It provides excellent breakfast man by a crew is very well trained and friendly staff. One particular staff, Ms phem is especially engaging as she talks to each customer, getting to know them as they come in for breakfast. She can converse in English very well too. I like their facilities such as the infinity pool, jacuzzi etc. The only negative is that during my stay, there was construction nearby, and it always happens around midnight.

This hotel was a fantastic find! The Guest Relations team was incredibly helpful, recommending great places to eat. The doorman at the front desk was also super friendly, even remembering our room number. The environment is lovely, and it's right in a lively neighborhood. If I ever come back to Hanoi, I'd definitely choose this hotel again! My dad actually stayed here previously and recommended it, and I can truly say my experience was excellent. The entrance is a bit hidden, but that didn't affect our stay at all; in fact, it made the place feel more peaceful and quiet.

The hotel’s location is excellent. The night view from the terrace is wonderful. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They welcome you with tropical fruits. You feel really at home. The buffet breakfast was very good. The hotel’s biggest drawback is the pool. Unfortunately, the hotel’s pool is very, very small. / Otelin konumu mükemmel. Terastan gece manzarası muhteşem. Personel çok yardımsever ve güler yüzlü. Sizi tropikal meyvelerle karşılıyorlar. Kendinizi gerçekten evinizde gibi hissediyorsunuz. Açık büfe kahvaltı çok iyiydi. Otelin en büyük dezavantajı havuz. We had a very solid and comfortable stay at the San Premium Hotel, which is perfectly situated right in the heart of the Old Quarter. The location is incredibly convenient, with everything you could possibly need located just a short walk away. The absolute highlight of our experience, however, was the impeccable service. The staff is extraordinarily courteous, welcoming, and proactive. Their English proficiency is excellent, which made communication seamless. When I approached them with several non-standard requests, they handled them with high-level professionalism and genuine politeness, and they were always quick to assist with our luggage. The accommodation itself was highly satisfying. We stayed in a spacious room that featured a wonderfully large terrace. The bathroom was well-appointed and in great condition. Most importantly, the level of cleanliness throughout the room was flawless. The bed and pillows provided a very comfortable night's sleep, and I specifically appreciated the use of proper fitted sheets - a crucial detail for comfort that many hotels surprisingly overlook. It is exactly this kind of attention to basic hospitality standards that makes a property reliable. The only notable area for improvement is the breakfast. The morning buffet was quite monotonous and the food lacked flavor, so I cannot say I was impressed by it. However, if you are only staying for a couple of days, it is completely tolerable, especially considering the abundance of excellent dining options right outside the hotel doors. Overall, the exceptional staff, meticulous room cleanliness, and prime location easily make up for the mediocre breakfast. This is a highly reliable hotel that delivers on the most important aspects of hospitality.

The bed was excellent, and I slept very well every night. A special highlight was my birthday during the stay. The staff somehow found out and surprised me with beautiful birthday desserts in the evening. It was such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that made my trip even more memorable. The breakfast was nice with a good variety of options, fresh fruits, and tasty Vietnamese and Western dishes — perfect to start the day. The location is also fantastic. The surrounding area has so many great food spots and spa shops just steps away, making it super convenient for both dining and relaxation. I also had a massage for 60 min in the hotel spa and it was so clean and comfortable. Tea, coffee and every day fresh water in the rooms. The staff is so friendly and helpful and you have a 24 h reception. Lilly from the reception is amazing and such a nice little angel. She helps us with everything and is very competent. This hotel is located in the Old Town, making it easy to walk to all the tourist spots. Even though it's on a narrow street with a decent flow of people and cars, the room itself is quiet. The room is very spacious and immaculately clean, with everything you need provided. Right next to the hotel, there's a small grocery store (for drinks, chocolates), various cafes, pharmacies, and bustling shopping streets selling local products and souvenirs. The breakfasts are decent: you can order eggs prepared in different ways, pho soup, or pancakes/crepes. There's also a buffet with fruits, vegetables, and other small items. The staff are superb! Upon check-in, they explained everything, gave great recommendations on where to go, and were generally very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

I stayed at Golden Silk for 5 nights. 2 booked thru trip and 3 that I extended directly. The location is hard to beat. Bang in the center of old quarter steps away from Hoan Kiem Lake. The rooms are pretty tired as other people have noted. An upgrade may help but is not a deal breaker. Housekeeping is great. The pricing is a bit higher online but you can book directly and get a better price. The breakfast is okay, nothing great but whatever is available is pretty good. Restaurant staff is really great. The front staff is a mix with a few ones condescending to borderline rude. Not sure if that's consistent for all travelers or reserved for certain set of travelers. For USD 60 a night i think its a good choice considering the location.

I'd been eyeing this hotel since last year, thinking I'd make a trip to Hanoi just for it. A week before my trip, I emailed the hotel to sort out some details, and the cake they made was exactly the flavor I requested – absolutely perfect. When I arrived, it certainly didn't disappoint. Stepping into the hotel, I was immediately enveloped by Bill Bensley's maximalist, opera-house-inspired design. Check-in coincided perfectly with afternoon tea, so I picked out a few cakes, savory bites, and drinks (highly recommend the apple cucumber kombucha). Time just flew by until the evening jazz performance; listening to the elegant jazz music and enjoying unlimited special concoctions was pure bliss. Dinner was at The Hudson Rooms on the top floor. I casually ordered a steak and an appetizer. The steak itself was a good cut, but it was a bit overcooked, so the server kindly offered me two complimentary desserts (both were delicious!). She also booked me a table at the mysterious speakeasy, Bar 61. Of course, getting in still required solving a riddle to find the key and unlock the door. There, I tried their exclusive whiskies and cocktails. I'd already lost count of how many drinks I'd had since walking into the hotel – this place truly is a paradise for dessert lovers and whiskey enthusiasts! After drinks, I returned to my room to find the turndown service complete, and a hot, bubbly bath with rose petals already drawn. I put on the hotel's jazz playlist and soaked in the tub – it was incredibly comfortable. 🥰 After a restful night, I woke up the next day for the long-awaited breakfast. It was primarily à la carte. I tried their pho, which was incredibly fresh and sweet with a generous portion of beef. The spring rolls were unbelievably soft and delicious. Even as someone who doesn't typically like coffee, their egg coffee won me over. Paired with fresh French oysters, it felt like I wouldn't need to eat for the rest of the day after that meal.

Rephrase nicely and polite please: the overall experience was good (close to the mart - reasonable price, pickball, tennis/table tennis/pool 8 balls/ and swimming on site) until s male receptionist named Hieu decided to go above and beyond to tell us that he needed to check the room. It was around 12ish. We showed him the booking via trip.com. it stated thay we have until 2pm to check out. He refused to accept it. I asked if i could speak to a manager, this big ego guy was adamant thay it will still be the same outcome and threatened if we dont check out now there will be additional fee cherged for late checkout. We went to see a manager and she confirmed indeed it was 2pm. His ego crashed and hid inside another room to get away from embarrassment. Then at 1.40pm we recieved a call from trip.com telling us that the hotel rang them to remind us to check out. We told trip.com that it was your plateform thay stated 2pm. This is well within the allowable time frame. We even told them the hotel manager confirmed it was 2pm check out. Why they simply take instructions from a guy named hieu seeking his little revenge without checking the facts. I was wondering about his motivation and why he picked on us...and how did he know we were to check out today..only a few reasons i could come up with and money is probably one of them. There was no apology or nothing but a cold look exchange. Here’s a more polished and polite version of your message while still keeping your point clear: Overall, our stay was pleasant. The location is convenient (close to the mart), the price is reasonable, and we appreciated the range of on-site facilities such as pickleball, tennis, table tennis, pool, and swimming. However, our experience was unfortunately affected by an incident with a male receptionist named Hieu. At around 12:00 pm, he approached us insisting that we check out so he could inspect the room. We showed him our booking confirmation via Trip.com, which clearly stated that our check-out time was 2:00 pm. Despite this, he refused to acknowledge it. When I politely asked to speak with a manager, he insisted that the outcome would not change and warned that we would be charged an additional fee if we did not check out immediately. We then spoke directly with the manager, who confirmed that our check-out time was indeed 2:00 pm. Later, at around 1:40 pm, we received a call from Trip.com informing us that the hotel had contacted them to remind us to check out. We clarified that our booking clearly allowed check-out until 2:00 pm and that this had already been confirmed by the hotel manager. It was disappointing that this follow-up occurred without verifying the situation properly. The situation left us feeling uncomfortable, particularly as there was no apology or clarification afterward—only a rather cold interaction. While the facilities and overall stay were enjoyable, this experience with staff communication and handling of the situation was disappointing. We were pleased with the rest of our interactions with other staff there. Thank you for your warm and welcoming service.

The room does not have a USB charging port, wifi is very good, the electrical socket is slightly less, although it is in the alley, it is still a vegetable market, the road is relatively poor, there are fewer choices for early, coffee, black tea, milk, fruits, etc., there are freshly cooked hot foods, noodles, fried eggs, sandwiches, etc. This price is worth it, there are snacks on the street, very lively.

The room was spacious, and the service was very attentive; staff even helped carry our luggage to the room. The hotel's location is excellent, making shopping and dining very convenient, with a mall and supermarket nearby. There's also a small lake next to it, which is a great bonus for morning runners. Right by the lake, there's a branch of Pho 10, a famous pho restaurant that President Obama once visited. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by the rich aroma of beef broth, which is somewhat similar to the scent of Northwestern Chinese beef noodle soup, yet distinctly different. Do note that an additional tax is charged when dining here.

The stuff we’re very welcoming and very helpful. Thank you Mr. Harry, Mr.Brain and Mr. Peter, you all made our stay in the hotel very pleasant. The breakfast had a variety of food. The room was clean. I would definitely recommend to all my friends. The stuff even helped in opening doors for us and even took our luggage to the car when we were heading to the airport.

Staffs were very nice, polite, professional and helpful. Location was great, many nice foods around. Room is big & clean. Except the shower room water does not go down, water will flood out to floor within one minute, and because at night there’s no one at the reception, I couldn’t have a shower at all.

Formal Complaint regarding Booking -Unacceptable Noise and Room Assignment Dear Management, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with our recent 4-night stay at your hotel. We traveled with young children and booked a 120sqm room. A month before our arrival, we specifically requested a high-floor room to ensure a quiet environment. Despite this, we were assigned to the 10th floor, which was less than 10 meters away from an active construction site. The night-time construction noise made it impossible for our family, especially our children, to sleep. This turned our vacation into a nightmare. While the front desk offered two Starbucks vouchers, we find this response completely inadequate and dismissive of the severe distress caused by four sleepless nights. The hotel’s failure to honor a long-standing request and the decision to place a family next to a noisy construction site is unacceptable. I expect a more appropriate resolution and a formal response regarding this matter. Regards,

Mixed experience with this hotel. First the good things: the location is great, right in between old town and central government buildings, museums etc., the staff are helpful and friendly, there’s a nice bar on the rooftop and a lovely spa too, there’s even a guide of some good restaurants nearby. The not so good: the room we were given had one tiny window (unlike the room pictures on Trip.com) and felt very dark, so we chose to downgrade ourselves to a smaller room with windows on two sides for more light. The walls of the rooms were thin, so we were kept up very late by chatter next door one night then woken up by a screaming child early next morning - not the hotel’s fault, but to be aware. The rooms weren’t that clean (hair hanging off the shower head etc). We were also ridiculously overcharged for a room service item, the staff were very nice and removed it from the bill when we queried, and offered us free breakfast to make up for it, but the breakfast was distinctly not as good (less variety, less fresh, Vietnamese coffee charged extra) as the one we’d had at a similarly priced Saigon hotel the previous days.

Standards for four-star hotels can vary significantly from one country or region to another, and this often leads to very different expectations for travelers who are familiar with the rating systems in their own countries. What is considered a four-star experience in China, for example, may not align perfectly with what you will find in Vietnam. With that in mind, the Sen Grand Hotel & Spa Managed by Sen Group in Hanoi offers a stay that I would describe as neither particularly impressive nor particularly disappointing—somewhere comfortably in the middle. The hotel does have a few positive points worth mentioning. One of the main advantages is its location. It is situated fairly close to a main road, making it convenient for guests who want quick access to transportation, nearby shops, and general city activity. This can be especially useful if you plan to explore Hanoi frequently or rely on ride-hailing services. Additionally, the area around the hotel has no shortage of dining options. You will find many restaurants and small eateries right at the doorstep, which makes it easy to grab a meal at almost any time without having to travel far. However, like many mid-range hotels in Southeast Asia, the Sen Grand Hotel & Spa does have some shortcomings. The most noticeable issue is the water pressure during showers. Guests who prefer strong water flow may find the shower experience somewhat underwhelming, especially during peak hours. While this is not a severe flaw, it does impact the overall comfort level of the stay and may be something to keep in mind if consistent hot water and strong pressure are important to you. Aside from the water pressure, there are no major defects or serious problems with the hotel. The rooms are generally clean, the basic amenities function as expected, and the service is acceptable for a hotel in this price range. It may not offer the refined details or higher-end comfort that travelers would expect from a four-star hotel in China, but it does provide a practical and reasonably comfortable place to stay if your expectations are aligned with local standards. In terms of atmosphere, the hotel strikes a balance between simplicity and functionality. It does not deliver a luxurious experience, but it also does not fall short in any critical area. For travelers who prioritize convenience, accessibility, and basic comfort over premium facilities, this hotel meets the needs sufficiently. Overall, if you have alternative choices, you may consider comparing your options, especially if you are looking for amenities that match Chinese four-star standards more closely. However, if your choices are limited or you simply need a decent, reliable place to stay in Hanoi without major concerns, the Sen Grand Hotel & Spa is a reasonable option. It offers a straightforward experience that fulfills the essential requirements of a short or medium-length stay.

Spent 3 nights here during the National Day holiday in Hanoi. The location is super convenient, close to Train Street, Hoan Kiem Lake, and the Old Quarter, with plenty of cafes nearby. The breakfast is mainly European, but they also have pho, which I had every morning. It was just as good as, if not better than, the pho from Michelin-starred places outside! The staff provided excellent service. They were quick to address and resolve any issues, and their service-mindedness was top-notch – they even proactively helped with luggage. The only minor drawback is that the room was a bit small, but that's a small detail that doesn't overshadow the overall experience. I highly recommend staying here!

The room was a large suite, though the interior decor felt a bit dated, like something from 10-20 years ago. However, it was maintained quite neatly and cleanly. The service was very good, and breakfast was decent. I mainly chose this hotel because the suite had a washing machine, but it also seemed quite old, and the dryer function wasn't very effective. The area around the hotel is currently undergoing a lot of demolition and new construction, so the immediate surroundings aren't very appealing.

1. The location is excellent, right next to Hoan Kiem Lake, making it very convenient to visit all the famous attractions. 2. The service is a major highlight; it's simply superb. They offer personalized, one-on-one service, and the front desk staff even escorts you to your room. They are very enthusiastic and have excellent English skills. There's also a male staff member who speaks Chinese. 3. The downside is that the rooms are a bit narrower compared to those in China, which seems to be a common characteristic of hotels in Hanoi's Old Quarter. Surprisingly, the two bottles of mineral water in the room were chargeable, which is something they could definitely improve.

An amazing location which is a short walk/grab away from many of the attractions that tourists want to see. The only thing I want to point out is that it is a little bit difficult to access with a car or a motorbike, so those with limited mobility may want to reconsider this hotel as accessibility may be a problem.

My stay at this hotel was mostly positive. The hotel was spotless, with fresh towels provided daily.  The location was perfect, offering easy access to local markets, restaurants, and tourist spots.  The staff were also incredibly accommodating and helpful. However, there was one significant drawback. I booked a double bed, but received two single beds pushed together.  One of the beds was quite uncomfortable; it felt like I was sinking into it.  This significantly impacted my sleep quality.  Despite this issue, the other aspects of the hotel made it a decent stay.

Staying here 3 nights for our Hanoi trip! Everything was good! Their staff giving us super friendly and helpful info. At first, we only stayed here 1 night then we went to Halong Bay and back 3 days later but that night we continue our Sapa trip. But taking night train, Ms Trang is so helpful and arrange us to shower at their Spa’a bathrooms and provide us towels and shampoo. Ms Lyly is the best who help us made restaurants booking and provide info during our Hanoi trip. Really enjoyed our stays in Hanoi with their service.

Overall service rendered is good. Both Lisa and Sunny are very warm and helpful. Location of hotel can be identified easily as it is very near to the old St Joseph Cathedral. Hotel facility is a little aged, for example, the flexible shower head, we did encounter a little difficulty to use. Room is a little small and room has only one lugguage rack cum sofa seating bench. For us, we have 2pcs of lugguages and one of them will need to be put on top of writing desk to be opened up. As a transit hotel in our overall tour, this hotel is great. Breakfast is reasonably good too.

Hanoi Paon Hotel & Spa is fine overall. It’s worth staying here if you get a good price, but it doesn’t really feel worth it at a higher rate. The breakfast is nice with a good selection and was one of the better parts of the stay. The view, especially from higher floors or the rooftop, is pleasant and adds to the experience. The hotel is comfortable enough and well located in the Old Quarter, but nothing particularly stands out. Overall, a decent option if the price is right, otherwise there are better choices in Hanoi for the money.

I stayed at Oriental Suites Hotel & Spa in Hanoi and really enjoyed it. The location is excellent – right in the middle of the Old Quarter, which makes it perfect for shopping, eating, and experiencing the nightlife. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The only downside was that my room didn’t have any windows, which made it feel a bit enclosed. The hotel is located near Hoan Kiem Lake in the center of Hanoi, and is not far from 36th Street, Train Street, St. Joseph's Cathedral and Ho Chi Minh Memorial Hall. Hotel service is very good, the facilities feel a bit long, the room near the street will be noisy at night, we stayed in the first night by the street with a balcony room, because I sleep not very well, I feel a bit noisy. After communicating with the hotel, we quickly changed two rooms that were not on the street. Thank you very much to the ladies at the front desk.

The facilities are run-down; there's a musty carpet smell as soon as you walk in. The air conditioning is absolutely terrible; it ran all day and the room was still 27.5 degrees Celsius.
