Hanoi Metro Map

Hanoi is known for busy roads and thousands of motorbikes, but the Hanoi Metro offers a faster and more comfortable way to travel. The network is still small, with two operating sections, but it is useful for reaching Cát Linh, Royal City, Cầu Giấy, Hà Đông, and several local neighborhoods.

❤️ Pro Tip: Book your flights from Manila to Hanoi and Hanoi hotels early for more choices and better rates. The metro does not currently reach Noi Bai International Airport or the Old Quarter, so check nearby bus and taxi connections when choosing your hotel.

As of 2026, Hanoi has two operating metro sections with 20 open stations. Line 2A has 12 stations between Cát Linh and Yên Nghĩa, while the open section of Line 3 has eight stations between Nhổn and Cầu Giấy.

We stayed here as a family of five (2 adults and 3 children) during our layover from Nha Trang. We had a large suite with multiple bedrooms. Everything was clean and nice, and the service was good. They met us at the airport, brought us to the hotel, and checked us in quickly. They also recommended places to go for a walk. In the morning, they took us back to the airport. The transfer was available for an additional fee.

There are so many hotels downtown, it took me a while to choose. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Hoan Kiem Lake, just a block away. The staff are super nice! The rooftop pool is a bit small, but the view is amazing, you can see the whole Hoan Kiem Lake. Breakfast was fantastic, very exquisite, everything you could possibly want. My favorite was the Avocado smoothie. The only downside is that the rooms are a bit small because it's in the city center. Everything else was absolutely great!👍

Will definitely stay in Apricot again when I visit Hanoi the next time. Room is clean and comfortable. TV has a variety of channels. Located by the river and close to most sightseeing places at the Old Quarter. Many restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Breakfast has a good selection of Western and Asian choices, such as a pho bar and an egg station. The view from the rooftop bar is stunning.

I booked this hotel for my friend and they absolutely loved it. It's a long-standing 5-star hotel in Hanoi. Even though the hotel has been around for quite some time, they've done an excellent job with upgrades and renovations, so I still felt the cleanliness, luxury, and convenience. The staff are exceptionally well-trained, from the doormen to the front desk, and all hotel employees. I had the chance to dine at the Ngân Đình Chinese restaurant and the buffet restaurant. The food at Ngân Đình was incredibly delicious; compared to other hotels in Hanoi, it was much better, and the prices were very reasonable!

Booked this primarily for the Pullman brand, but it really only felt like a 4-star hotel. It was decent, nothing spectacular. The room was spacious, but the facilities were a bit old, the lighting was dim, and it only had a bathtub. The service, however, was excellent. The hotel's location isn't in the old town, but you can walk to places like the Temple of Literature, the Fine Arts Museum, and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum within 30 minutes. There's a Highlands Coffee right outside the hotel, and a new shopping mall just down the street.

A hidden gem in the heart of the city! ♥ The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The environment is beautiful and clean, and despite being on a main street, it wasn't too noisy. The soundproofing could be a little better, though. All sorts of trendy eateries and attractions are within walking distance. They have a gym, a swimming pool, and even a DIY Mojito bar, which was a fun touch! 😂 Breakfast was also really rich and varied. We stayed with our child, and the hygiene was excellent. The design is very thoughtful, with smart glass that allowed my kid to watch TV while showering, haha. Our luggage was stored perfectly, too. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Vietnam! ❤️

This hotel was a fantastic find! The Guest Relations team was incredibly helpful, recommending great places to eat. The doorman at the front desk was also super friendly, even remembering our room number. The environment is lovely, and it's right in a lively neighborhood. If I ever come back to Hanoi, I'd definitely choose this hotel again! My dad actually stayed here previously and recommended it, and I can truly say my experience was excellent. The entrance is a bit hidden, but that didn't affect our stay at all; in fact, it made the place feel more peaceful and quiet.

Lots of good food and massage places. Very near the lake. The waiter for breakfast was full of energy and work super fast. Would be good to have someone to help him on the floor. Just to highlight be aware there is road closure on Fridays to Sundays evenings. So if u are arriving or departing, the taxi might not be able to drop or meet you at the hotel. The hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance to all the attractions around Hoan Kiem Lake. With a history of 125 years, the hotel is rich in historical and cultural heritage. During my stay, there was even a hotel photo exhibition, making the hotel itself feel like a small museum. It's well worth spending half a day just exploring the premises. My room, located in the Opera Wing, featured a modern layout and decor. The facilities were well-maintained and didn't feel outdated, making for a very comfortable stay. This booking also included executive lounge access. The afternoon tea offerings were quite good, and the happy hour provided a wide selection of drinks, accompanied by a beautiful guzheng performance. The hotel's service is another major highlight, truly setting the standard for hospitality in Hanoi. I dined at the hotel's Executive Lounge, SPICE GARDEN, and LE CLUB BAR, and also used the swimming pool. The staff at all these venues provided outstanding service – they were enthusiastic, professional, and very courteous. I had an amazing stay at Dolce by Wyndham Hanoi Golden Lake and it was truly one of the most unique hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, the service felt luxurious and welcoming. The complimentary macarons on arrival were a lovely touch and immediately set the tone for the stay. The hotel’s attention to detail and presentation really stood out throughout the entire experience. The room itself was incredibly spacious, modern, and comfortable, with stunning views across Hanoi. Large windows filled the room with natural light, and the overall atmosphere felt elegant and relaxing. Of course, the biggest highlight was the hotel’s signature gold-themed interior. The golden bath and even the gold toilet made the stay feel both extravagant and memorable , definitely something you don’t experience every day. Everything was beautifully designed and added to the hotel’s unique character. Another standout feature was the famous gold infinity pool. Swimming there while overlooking the city skyline was unforgettable. The rooftop atmosphere was calm and luxurious, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the views. I stayed at Golden Silk for 5 nights. 2 booked thru trip and 3 that I extended directly. The location is hard to beat. Bang in the center of old quarter steps away from Hoan Kiem Lake. The rooms are pretty tired as other people have noted. An upgrade may help but is not a deal breaker. Housekeeping is great. The pricing is a bit higher online but you can book directly and get a better price. The breakfast is okay, nothing great but whatever is available is pretty good. Restaurant staff is really great. The front staff is a mix with a few ones condescending to borderline rude. Not sure if that's consistent for all travelers or reserved for certain set of travelers. Rephrase nicely and polite please: the overall experience was good (close to the mart - reasonable price, pickball, tennis/table tennis/pool 8 balls/ and swimming on site) until s male receptionist named Hieu decided to go above and beyond to tell us that he needed to check the room. It was around 12ish. We showed him the booking via trip.com. it stated thay we have until 2pm to check out. He refused to accept it. I asked if i could speak to a manager, this big ego guy was adamant thay it will still be the same outcome and threatened if we dont check out now there will be additional fee cherged for late checkout. We went to see a manager and she confirmed indeed it was 2pm. His ego crashed and hid inside another room to get away from embarrassment. Then at 1.40pm we recieved a call from trip.com telling us that the hotel rang them to remind us to check out. We told trip.com that it was your plateform thay stated 2pm. This is well within the allowable time frame. We even told them the hotel manager confirmed it was 2pm check out. Why they simply take instructions from a guy named hieu seeking his little revenge without checking the facts. I was wondering about his motivation and why he picked on us...and how did he know we were to check out today..only a few reasons i could come up with and money is probably one of them. There was no apology or nothing but a cold look exchange. Here’s a more polished and polite version of your message while still keeping your point clear: Overall, our stay was pleasant. The location is convenient (close to the mart), the price is reasonable, and we appreciated the range of on-site facilities such as pickleball, tennis, table tennis, pool, and swimming. However, our experience was unfortunately affected by an incident with a male receptionist named Hieu. At around 12:00 pm, he approached us insisting that we check out so he could inspect the room. We showed him our booking confirmation via Trip.com, which clearly stated that our check-out time was 2:00 pm. Despite this, he refused to acknowledge it. When I politely asked to speak with a manager, he insisted that the outcome would not change and warned that we would be charged an additional fee if we did not check out immediately. We then spoke directly with the manager, who confirmed that our check-out time was indeed 2:00 pm. Later, at around 1:40 pm, we received a call from Trip.com informing us that the hotel had contacted them to remind us to check out. We clarified that our booking clearly allowed check-out until 2:00 pm and that this had already been confirmed by the hotel manager. It was disappointing that this follow-up occurred without verifying the situation properly. The situation left us feeling uncomfortable, particularly as there was no apology or clarification afterward—only a rather cold interaction. While the facilities and overall stay were enjoyable, this experience with staff communication and handling of the situation was disappointing. We were pleased with the rest of our interactions with other staff there. Thank you for your warm and welcoming service.

This hotel is located in the Old Town, making it easy to walk to all the tourist spots. Even though it's on a narrow street with a decent flow of people and cars, the room itself is quiet. The room is very spacious and immaculately clean, with everything you need provided. Right next to the hotel, there's a small grocery store (for drinks, chocolates), various cafes, pharmacies, and bustling shopping streets selling local products and souvenirs. The breakfasts are decent: you can order eggs prepared in different ways, pho soup, or pancakes/crepes. There's also a buffet with fruits, vegetables, and other small items. The staff are superb! Upon check-in, they explained everything, gave great recommendations on where to go, and were generally very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

The room was spacious, and the service was very attentive; staff even helped carry our luggage to the room. The hotel's location is excellent, making shopping and dining very convenient, with a mall and supermarket nearby. There's also a small lake next to it, which is a great bonus for morning runners. Right by the lake, there's a branch of Pho 10, a famous pho restaurant that President Obama once visited. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by the rich aroma of beef broth, which is somewhat similar to the scent of Northwestern Chinese beef noodle soup, yet distinctly different. Do note that an additional tax is charged when dining here.

I booked the room, arrived at the hotel to check-in, and got told that the room I booked, was not available. They moved us to the Splendid Hotel, opposite. It wasn't bad, but it was a massive price difference. Only something I looked into the following morning. I was not happy with that sort of dishonesty. I did not even get compensated. So, I'm not going to advise, nor book this hotel again. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this good hotel

Staffs were very nice, polite, professional and helpful. Location was great, many nice foods around. Room is big & clean. Except the shower room water does not go down, water will flood out to floor within one minute, and because at night there’s no one at the reception, I couldn’t have a shower at all.

The room layout was excellent and very spacious. I booked a king-size room which came with a living room, a separate bedroom, two bathrooms, and two TVs. The breakfast spread was fantastic, offering a great variety of Western, Chinese, and Asian options, along with beautiful desserts. The in-room dining was also delicious. The staff were all incredibly friendly and genuinely welcoming, without being overly effusive or theatrical.

Great location and spacious rooms for the price but do not recommend if traveling with young kids. We stayed in the executive family suite for one night on our last night in Hanoi. A lot of road noise, room doors in the suite are all glass so there was no way to block out light between the rooms. Elevators wait was long. There’s also a flight of stairs between the street entrance and hotel lobby.

The service at two hotel restaurants are disappointing. 3Spoons offered A La Carte breakfast menu and when I plan to go inside on 4/8, the receptionist named Ngan said it would take 40 minutes to have the food ready. It’s a bad experience to discourage a guest to go inside, given a booking was made at 10am before already. The second strange thing is Stella Steakhouse. We visited it on 3 Aug night and there was only one table. We ordered five sets for ourselves n 3 kids. Before we start the main, the male manager came and asked us for ordering a desert. We’re quick to order five ice cream. After the main was done, I found too full and I knew they said ice cream would not be served until we finished our main. I asked the female waitress to cancel one ice cream and she said the male manager said can’t cos the order already delivered to the kitchen… that was disappointing again. The services of two in-house intercontinental restaurants should not be meeting to a five star hotel restaurant.

The facilities are complete, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff at the front desk, housekeeping, and the doorman are all incredibly friendly. The pool is a bit cold for this weather. The breakfast restaurant is a little small, but the breakfast quality is quite good. You can borrow bicycles for free, and there are a few roads nearby with less traffic that are suitable for cycling. There are quite a few unfinished buildings around West Lake. It was a bit difficult to get a taxi on the morning of Chinese New Year's Day, probably because everyone was visiting relatives ^_^ A small suggestion: it would be great if there were some instructions for the kitchen appliances. We spent a long time trying to figure out how to turn on the range hood, and a staff member eventually had to help us. It also took a while to figure out how to use the induction cooktop. Overall, it's very good.

Honestly, there's no need to stay here. The downstairs area is just average, and I didn't even end up going there. If you're traveling with friends, it's better to choose a place with convenient dining options. I spent a lot on taxis this trip, which I could have completely saved by staying somewhere more convenient (though I haven't checked other hotel prices). The breakfast, however, was quite good. Overall, despite the limited dining options nearby, I was pretty satisfied.

Great stay, the staff were extremely attentive. The room was spacious and clean, facilities were well maintained. Then only problem I had was that the water temperature took really long to adjust. Breakfast was limited but still good. The room service was really good though. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

Mixed experience with this hotel. First the good things: the location is great, right in between old town and central government buildings, museums etc., the staff are helpful and friendly, there’s a nice bar on the rooftop and a lovely spa too, there’s even a guide of some good restaurants nearby. The not so good: the room we were given had one tiny window (unlike the room pictures on Trip.com) and felt very dark, so we chose to downgrade ourselves to a smaller room with windows on two sides for more light. The walls of the rooms were thin, so we were kept up very late by chatter next door one night then woken up by a screaming child early next morning - not the hotel’s fault, but to be aware. The rooms weren’t that clean (hair hanging off the shower head etc). We were also ridiculously overcharged for a room service item, the staff were very nice and removed it from the bill when we queried, and offered us free breakfast to make up for it, but the breakfast was distinctly not as good (less variety, less fresh, Vietnamese coffee charged extra) as the one we’d had at a similarly priced Saigon hotel the previous days.

The staffs were very friendly. They welcomed us with smiles and made us feel at home. They took the effort to prepare a welcome drink and snacks. Also, they asked us about our checkout time and prepared us breakfast as we had a flight to catch (this was part of our breakfast buffet). All was ready on time and it was a easy checkin and checkout process. We were well taken care off and the rooms were very clean and comfy as well. Highly recommend !

I’ve been to Hanoi a few times and hotel service here is generally good, but Solaria truly stood out for us from the moment we stepped in, all the way to when we left and were warmly sent off by the porter. The level of service was impeccable. The hotel itself was excellent, cleanliness, welcome drinks, snacks, and overall comfort were all on point. Everything felt thoughtful and well taken care of. A special shoutout to two wonderful staff members who made our stay even more memorable: 1. Daria: During breakfast, we asked about the special chili salt powder served with fruits (it was amazingly tasty!). Daria not only explained where we could get it from a local mart, but also thoughtfully packed some in a container for us to bring home. Funny enough, we loved it so much that we bought fresh mango that same night and finished everything immediately! 2. Lily (Reception): We would like to give our heartfelt compliments to her, who assisted us from our first day to the last. She brought us on a room tour, polite, friendly, and answered all our typical tourist questions with ease. As we had requested a high floor, we were assigned one of the highest floors in the hotel. Lily thoughtfully informed us that the restaurant is located right above and operates until 10pm, so there might be slight noise until then. She checked if we were light sleepers and offered us the option to change to a lower floor for the remaining nights if it became an issue. The next morning at breakfast, she personally checked in with us again regarding the room, and it turned out to be perfectly fine for us, we didn’t notice much noise as we were still awake around that time. Since this was our anniversary trip (which I had indicated in the hotel remarks), our room was beautifully decorated with towel-shaped swans and rose petals, a really lovely touch. The next morning at breakfast, after our meal, Lily came by and presented us with a specially made coconut pandan pudding dessert. She shared that it was prepared for us today as we seemed a little tired from traveling the day before. During breakfast as well, Lily brought up about our request with housekeeping team for a firm pillow from the night before. Although we were initially told only one type was available, she took the initiative to explain and said she would try to source one for us. That very night, I received a firm pillow, truly thoughtful service. Lily also helped us plan our travel time to the airport, offered to assist with booking the hotel spa via her personal contact, and gave fantastic local food recommendations like cháo sườn with quẩy and rượu (sadly the shop was closed when we arrived, but it’s definitely on my list for my next trip to Hanoi). What really stood out is how Lily picks up on small cues and chooses the right moment to communicate, making everything feel very natural and personalized rather than forced. There was even more she helped us with along the way, always attentive and proactive, which really made a difference to our stay. To top it all off, during checkout, we were gifted local souvenirs, Trung Nguyen coffee drip filter and coffee powder, which was such a lovely and thoughtful gesture. Overall, an outstanding stay. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return on our next trip to Hanoi 🩷

The location is easily accessible. St Joseph’s cathedral, pho 10, spas are all just a few minutes walk from the hotel. The receptionist is exceptional friendly and nice. She even let us checked in early. However, the facilities and amenities are kind of old, worn out and dirty. 1. Water may leak out from the shower. 2. We kept hearing water dripping sound from the ac outside the whole night. 3. A used tissue was found in the room

Very nice and good looking hotel. Cool place to chill for the hot weather during this time of the year too. Tourist spots within walking distances. Helpful reception. Only thing was that the wait to check in was a big long as they were cleaning up the room. Maybe the previous group checked out late. But all in all maybe I will comeback to the same place for a short stay again.

Staying here 3 nights for our Hanoi trip! Everything was good! Their staff giving us super friendly and helpful info. At first, we only stayed here 1 night then we went to Halong Bay and back 3 days later but that night we continue our Sapa trip. But taking night train, Ms Trang is so helpful and arrange us to shower at their Spa’a bathrooms and provide us towels and shampoo. Ms Lyly is the best who help us made restaurants booking and provide info during our Hanoi trip. Really enjoyed our stays in Hanoi with their service.

Hmm, this hotel is pretty good and offers great value for money. The beds are clean, and the shower has good water pressure and hot water. There's also a gym and a swimming pool on the rooftop. The service is excellent, and the breakfast is a buffet with a wide variety of options. The location is down a small alley, which is great because it's very quiet. The only slight downside (0.5 points deducted) is that there aren't many food options nearby; you have to walk a bit further to find places to eat. This isn't an issue if you're taking a taxi everywhere, though.

Overall service rendered is good. Both Lisa and Sunny are very warm and helpful. Location of hotel can be identified easily as it is very near to the old St Joseph Cathedral. Hotel facility is a little aged, for example, the flexible shower head, we did encounter a little difficulty to use. Room is a little small and room has only one lugguage rack cum sofa seating bench. For us, we have 2pcs of lugguages and one of them will need to be put on top of writing desk to be opened up. As a transit hotel in our overall tour, this hotel is great. Breakfast is reasonably good too.

Hanoi Paon Hotel & Spa is fine overall. It’s worth staying here if you get a good price, but it doesn’t really feel worth it at a higher rate. The breakfast is nice with a good selection and was one of the better parts of the stay. The view, especially from higher floors or the rooftop, is pleasant and adds to the experience. The hotel is comfortable enough and well located in the Old Quarter, but nothing particularly stands out. Overall, a decent option if the price is right, otherwise there are better choices in Hanoi for the money.

I stayed at Oriental Suites Hotel & Spa in Hanoi and really enjoyed it. The location is excellent – right in the middle of the Old Quarter, which makes it perfect for shopping, eating, and experiencing the nightlife. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The only downside was that my room didn’t have any windows, which made it feel a bit enclosed. That said, everything else was great, and for the location and service, it’s still a fantastic choice.

The hotel is located near Hoan Kiem Lake in the center of Hanoi, and is not far from 36th Street, Train Street, St. Joseph's Cathedral and Ho Chi Minh Memorial Hall. Hotel service is very good, the facilities feel a bit long, the room near the street will be noisy at night, we stayed in the first night by the street with a balcony room, because I sleep not very well, I feel a bit noisy. After communicating with the hotel, we quickly changed two rooms that were not on the street. Thank you very much to the ladies at the front desk.
