Hanoi Metro Map: Lines, Stations and Travel Guide

Hanoi Metro Map

Hanoi is known for busy roads and thousands of motorbikes, but the Hanoi Metro offers a faster and more comfortable way to travel. The network is still small, with two operating sections, but it is useful for reaching Cát Linh, Royal City, Cầu Giấy, Hà Đông, and several local neighborhoods.

❤️ Pro Tip: Book your flights from Manila to Hanoi and Hanoi hotels early for more choices and better rates. The metro does not currently reach Noi Bai International Airport or the Old Quarter, so check nearby bus and taxi connections when choosing your hotel.

A whole apartment to yourself with condo facilities (gym and swimming pool) available at level 4. Hotel staff helps to direct and open doors for guests coming in and out by car. Rooms are a little old and some noise from traffic can be heard from level 22 where we stayed but just a small issue for us. Beds and towels seem properly clean with daily housekeeping available. Definitely worth the value staying here.

There are so many hotels downtown, it took me a while to choose. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Hoan Kiem Lake, just a block away. The staff are super nice! The rooftop pool is a bit small, but the view is amazing, you can see the whole Hoan Kiem Lake. Breakfast was fantastic, very exquisite, everything you could possibly want. My favorite was the Avocado smoothie. The only downside is that the rooms are a bit small because it's in the city center. Everything else was absolutely great!👍

I booked this hotel for my friend and they absolutely loved it. It's a long-standing 5-star hotel in Hanoi. Even though the hotel has been around for quite some time, they've done an excellent job with upgrades and renovations, so I still felt the cleanliness, luxury, and convenience. The staff are exceptionally well-trained, from the doormen to the front desk, and all hotel employees. I had the chance to dine at the Ngân Đình Chinese restaurant and the buffet restaurant. The food at Ngân Đình was incredibly delicious; compared to other hotels in Hanoi, it was much better, and the prices were very reasonable!

Booked this primarily for the Pullman brand, but it really only felt like a 4-star hotel. It was decent, nothing spectacular. The room was spacious, but the facilities were a bit old, the lighting was dim, and it only had a bathtub. The service, however, was excellent. The hotel's location isn't in the old town, but you can walk to places like the Temple of Literature, the Fine Arts Museum, and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum within 30 minutes. There's a Highlands Coffee right outside the hotel, and a new shopping mall just down the street.

A hidden gem in the heart of the city! ♥ The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The environment is beautiful and clean, and despite being on a main street, it wasn't too noisy. The soundproofing could be a little better, though. All sorts of trendy eateries and attractions are within walking distance. They have a gym, a swimming pool, and even a DIY Mojito bar, which was a fun touch! 😂 Breakfast was also really rich and varied. We stayed with our child, and the hygiene was excellent. The design is very thoughtful, with smart glass that allowed my kid to watch TV while showering, haha. Our luggage was stored perfectly, too. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Vietnam! ❤️

This hotel was a fantastic find! The Guest Relations team was incredibly helpful, recommending great places to eat. The doorman at the front desk was also super friendly, even remembering our room number. The environment is lovely, and it's right in a lively neighborhood. If I ever come back to Hanoi, I'd definitely choose this hotel again! My dad actually stayed here previously and recommended it, and I can truly say my experience was excellent. The entrance is a bit hidden, but that didn't affect our stay at all; in fact, it made the place feel more peaceful and quiet.

We had a very solid and comfortable stay at the San Premium Hotel, which is perfectly situated right in the heart of the Old Quarter. The location is incredibly convenient, with everything you could possibly need located just a short walk away. The absolute highlight of our experience, however, was the impeccable service. The staff is extraordinarily courteous, welcoming, and proactive. Their English proficiency is excellent, which made communication seamless. When I approached them with several non-standard requests, they handled them with high-level professionalism and genuine politeness, and they were always quick to assist with our luggage. The accommodation itself was highly satisfying. We stayed in a spacious room that featured a wonderfully large terrace. The bathroom was well-appointed and in great condition. Most importantly, the level of cleanliness throughout the room was flawless. The bed and pillows provided a very comfortable night's sleep, and I specifically appreciated the use of proper fitted sheets - a crucial detail for comfort that many hotels surprisingly overlook. It is exactly this kind of attention to basic hospitality standards that makes a property reliable. The only notable area for improvement is the breakfast. The morning buffet was quite monotonous and the food lacked flavor, so I cannot say I was impressed by it. However, if you are only staying for a couple of days, it is completely tolerable, especially considering the abundance of excellent dining options right outside the hotel doors. Overall, the exceptional staff, meticulous room cleanliness, and prime location easily make up for the mediocre breakfast. This is a highly reliable hotel that delivers on the most important aspects of hospitality.

They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The hotel is very clean throughout, and the rooms are surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The bed was excellent, and I slept very well every night. A special highlight was my birthday during the stay. The staff somehow found out and surprised me with beautiful birthday desserts in the evening. It was such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that made my trip even more memorable. The breakfast was nice with a good variety of options, fresh fruits, and tasty Vietnamese and Western dishes — perfect to start the day. The location is also fantastic. The surrounding area has so many great food spots and spa shops just steps away, making it super convenient for both dining and relaxation. I also had a massage for 60 min in the hotel spa and it was so clean and comfortable. Tea, coffee and every day fresh water in the rooms. The staff is so friendly and helpful and you have a 24 h reception. Lilly from the reception is amazing and such a nice little angel. She helps us with everything and is very competent. The hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance to all the attractions around Hoan Kiem Lake. With a history of 125 years, the hotel is rich in historical and cultural heritage. During my stay, there was even a hotel photo exhibition, making the hotel itself feel like a small museum. It's well worth spending half a day just exploring the premises. My room, located in the Opera Wing, featured a modern layout and decor. The facilities were well-maintained and didn't feel outdated, making for a very comfortable stay. This booking also included executive lounge access. The afternoon tea offerings were quite good, and the happy hour provided a wide selection of drinks, accompanied by a beautiful guzheng performance. The hotel's service is another major highlight, truly setting the standard for hospitality in Hanoi. I dined at the hotel's Executive Lounge, SPICE GARDEN, and LE CLUB BAR, and also used the swimming pool. The staff at all these venues provided outstanding service – they were enthusiastic, professional, and very courteous. When checking in, I simply mentioned that I would be moving to the hotel next door the following day. To my surprise, upon checkout, the front desk proactively arranged for my luggage to be transferred to the adjacent hotel. Such thoughtful service!

I had an amazing stay at Dolce by Wyndham Hanoi Golden Lake and it was truly one of the most unique hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, the service felt luxurious and welcoming. The complimentary macarons on arrival were a lovely touch and immediately set the tone for the stay. The hotel’s attention to detail and presentation really stood out throughout the entire experience. The room itself was incredibly spacious, modern, and comfortable, with stunning views across Hanoi. Large windows filled the room with natural light, and the overall atmosphere felt elegant and relaxing. Of course, the biggest highlight was the hotel’s signature gold-themed interior. The golden bath and even the gold toilet made the stay feel both extravagant and memorable , definitely something you don’t experience every day. Everything was beautifully designed and added to the hotel’s unique character. Another standout feature was the famous gold infinity pool. Swimming there while overlooking the city skyline was unforgettable. The rooftop atmosphere was calm and luxurious, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the views. I stayed at Golden Silk for 5 nights. 2 booked thru trip and 3 that I extended directly. The location is hard to beat. Bang in the center of old quarter steps away from Hoan Kiem Lake. The rooms are pretty tired as other people have noted. An upgrade may help but is not a deal breaker. Housekeeping is great. The pricing is a bit higher online but you can book directly and get a better price. The breakfast is okay, nothing great but whatever is available is pretty good. Restaurant staff is really great. The front staff is a mix with a few ones condescending to borderline rude. Not sure if that's consistent for all travelers or reserved for certain set of travelers. For USD 60 a night i think its a good choice considering the location.

I'd been eyeing this hotel since last year, thinking I'd make a trip to Hanoi just for it. A week before my trip, I emailed the hotel to sort out some details, and the cake they made was exactly the flavor I requested – absolutely perfect. When I arrived, it certainly didn't disappoint. Stepping into the hotel, I was immediately enveloped by Bill Bensley's maximalist, opera-house-inspired design. Check-in coincided perfectly with afternoon tea, so I picked out a few cakes, savory bites, and drinks (highly recommend the apple cucumber kombucha). Time just flew by until the evening jazz performance; listening to the elegant jazz music and enjoying unlimited special concoctions was pure bliss. Dinner was at The Hudson Rooms on the top floor. I casually ordered a steak and an appetizer. The steak itself was a good cut, but it was a bit overcooked, so the server kindly offered me two complimentary desserts (both were delicious!). She also booked me a table at the mysterious speakeasy, Bar 61. Of course, getting in still required solving a riddle to find the key and unlock the door. There, I tried their exclusive whiskies and cocktails. I'd already lost count of how many drinks I'd had since walking into the hotel – this place truly is a paradise for dessert lovers and whiskey enthusiasts! After drinks, I returned to my room to find the turndown service complete, and a hot, bubbly bath with rose petals already drawn. I put on the hotel's jazz playlist and soaked in the tub – it was incredibly comfortable. 🥰 After a restful night, I woke up the next day for the long-awaited breakfast. It was primarily à la carte. I tried their pho, which was incredibly fresh and sweet with a generous portion of beef. The spring rolls were unbelievably soft and delicious. Even as someone who doesn't typically like coffee, their egg coffee won me over. Paired with fresh French oysters, it felt like I wouldn't need to eat for the rest of the day after that meal.

Rephrase nicely and polite please: the overall experience was good (close to the mart - reasonable price, pickball, tennis/table tennis/pool 8 balls/ and swimming on site) until s male receptionist named Hieu decided to go above and beyond to tell us that he needed to check the room. It was around 12ish. We showed him the booking via trip.com. it stated thay we have until 2pm to check out. He refused to accept it. I asked if i could speak to a manager, this big ego guy was adamant thay it will still be the same outcome and threatened if we dont check out now there will be additional fee cherged for late checkout. We went to see a manager and she confirmed indeed it was 2pm. His ego crashed and hid inside another room to get away from embarrassment. Then at 1.40pm we recieved a call from trip.com telling us that the hotel rang them to remind us to check out. We told trip.com that it was your plateform thay stated 2pm. This is well within the allowable time frame. We even told them the hotel manager confirmed it was 2pm check out. Why they simply take instructions from a guy named hieu seeking his little revenge without checking the facts. I was wondering about his motivation and why he picked on us...and how did he know we were to check out today..only a few reasons i could come up with and money is probably one of them. There was no apology or nothing but a cold look exchange. Here’s a more polished and polite version of your message while still keeping your point clear: Overall, our stay was pleasant. The location is convenient (close to the mart), the price is reasonable, and we appreciated the range of on-site facilities such as pickleball, tennis, table tennis, pool, and swimming. However, our experience was unfortunately affected by an incident with a male receptionist named Hieu. At around 12:00 pm, he approached us insisting that we check out so he could inspect the room. We showed him our booking confirmation via Trip.com, which clearly stated that our check-out time was 2:00 pm. Despite this, he refused to acknowledge it. When I politely asked to speak with a manager, he insisted that the outcome would not change and warned that we would be charged an additional fee if we did not check out immediately. We then spoke directly with the manager, who confirmed that our check-out time was indeed 2:00 pm. Later, at around 1:40 pm, we received a call from Trip.com informing us that the hotel had contacted them to remind us to check out. We clarified that our booking clearly allowed check-out until 2:00 pm and that this had already been confirmed by the hotel manager. It was disappointing that this follow-up occurred without verifying the situation properly. The situation left us feeling uncomfortable, particularly as there was no apology or clarification afterward—only a rather cold interaction. While the facilities and overall stay were enjoyable, this experience with staff communication and handling of the situation was disappointing. We were pleased with the rest of our interactions with other staff there. Thank you for your warm and welcoming service.

This Japanese-style hotel is practically perfect! The free onsen is a huge plus, and the Japanese restaurant on the second floor is excellent. Breakfast was also fantastic. 😎 There's a pool and BBQ area on the ground floor, which would be great for summer. Highly recommend!

The private room i had was great. Very clean, staff are friendly and polite. Check-in and out was easy. Location is ideal as it sits in the heart of the Old Quarter. Bars and restaurants are within reach. Inexpensive. HOWEVER!... DO NOT BOOK THIS HOSTEL IF YOU ARE WANTING ADEQUATE AND RESTFUL SLEEP BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 10PM AND 6AM! THE WALLS ARE PAPER-THIN AND YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING FROM THE CORRIDORS, OUTSIDE, NEIGHBORING ROOMS/FLOORS. GUESTS TALKING LOUD/SHOUTING/BANGING/SWEARING. I'd say you get what you pay for but nobody should have to endure that after travelling halfway across the world. The hostel needs to operate a ”Quiet Hours Policy” like most places do now. Only on this basis i wouldnt stay again.

This hotel is located in the Old Town, making it easy to walk to all the tourist spots. Even though it's on a narrow street with a decent flow of people and cars, the room itself is quiet. The room is very spacious and immaculately clean, with everything you need provided. Right next to the hotel, there's a small grocery store (for drinks, chocolates), various cafes, pharmacies, and bustling shopping streets selling local products and souvenirs. The breakfasts are decent: you can order eggs prepared in different ways, pho soup, or pancakes/crepes. There's also a buffet with fruits, vegetables, and other small items. The staff are superb! Upon check-in, they explained everything, gave great recommendations on where to go, and were generally very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

The road construction right outside the hotel was a real dusty mess during our stay. However, the hotel room itself was great – very clean with daily housekeeping, and it even had a kettle. Great location and spacious rooms for the price but do not recommend if traveling with young kids. We stayed in the executive family suite for one night on our last night in Hanoi. A lot of road noise, room doors in the suite are all glass so there was no way to block out light between the rooms. Elevators wait was long. There’s also a flight of stairs between the street entrance and hotel lobby.

I highly recommend this hotel, located over 40 stories high! The stay was perfect. The overall decor is a vintage wooden style, with wooden floors paired with warm, soft lighting, creating a charming, elegant, and calming atmosphere. The attention to detail is exquisite, making every photo-op-worthy. The room comes with a massive projection screen, and with the blackout curtains drawn, it transforms into a private cinema. It's great for binge-watching shows or movies; I ended up watching 'Records of the Myriad Demons' until past 4 AM that night. The floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows on the high floor offer an absolutely stunning view. During the day, there's ample natural light, and in the evening, you can watch the sunset over the entire city, with the sparkling city lights visible at night. The high floor is quiet with no noise and good ventilation. The entire room was clean, odor-free, and all facilities were new and complete. The front desk service was thoughtful and attentive. With the high-altitude views combined with the cozy wooden cinema ambiance, this is my top choice for accommodation when traveling. I'll definitely book here again on my next visit!

The facilities are complete, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff at the front desk, housekeeping, and the doorman are all incredibly friendly. The pool is a bit cold for this weather. The breakfast restaurant is a little small, but the breakfast quality is quite good. You can borrow bicycles for free, and there are a few roads nearby with less traffic that are suitable for cycling. There are quite a few unfinished buildings around West Lake. It was a bit difficult to get a taxi on the morning of Chinese New Year's Day, probably because everyone was visiting relatives ^_^ A small suggestion: it would be great if there were some instructions for the kitchen appliances. We spent a long time trying to figure out how to turn on the range hood, and a staff member eventually had to help us. It also took a while to figure out how to use the induction cooktop. Overall, it's very good.

Mixed experience with this hotel. First the good things: the location is great, right in between old town and central government buildings, museums etc., the staff are helpful and friendly, there’s a nice bar on the rooftop and a lovely spa too, there’s even a guide of some good restaurants nearby. The not so good: the room we were given had one tiny window (unlike the room pictures on Trip.com) and felt very dark, so we chose to downgrade ourselves to a smaller room with windows on two sides for more light. The walls of the rooms were thin, so we were kept up very late by chatter next door one night then woken up by a screaming child early next morning - not the hotel’s fault, but to be aware. The rooms weren’t that clean (hair hanging off the shower head etc). We were also ridiculously overcharged for a room service item, the staff were very nice and removed it from the bill when we queried, and offered us free breakfast to make up for it, but the breakfast was distinctly not as good (less variety, less fresh, Vietnamese coffee charged extra) as the one we’d had at a similarly priced Saigon hotel the previous days.

I’ve been to Hanoi a few times and hotel service here is generally good, but Solaria truly stood out for us from the moment we stepped in, all the way to when we left and were warmly sent off by the porter. The level of service was impeccable. The hotel itself was excellent, cleanliness, welcome drinks, snacks, and overall comfort were all on point. Everything felt thoughtful and well taken care of. A special shoutout to two wonderful staff members who made our stay even more memorable: 1. Daria: During breakfast, we asked about the special chili salt powder served with fruits (it was amazingly tasty!). Daria not only explained where we could get it from a local mart, but also thoughtfully packed some in a container for us to bring home. Funny enough, we loved it so much that we bought fresh mango that same night and finished everything immediately! 2. Lily (Reception): We would like to give our heartfelt compliments to her, who assisted us from our first day to the last. She brought us on a room tour, polite, friendly, and answered all our typical tourist questions with ease. As we had requested a high floor, we were assigned one of the highest floors in the hotel. Lily thoughtfully informed us that the restaurant is located right above and operates until 10pm, so there might be slight noise until then. She checked if we were light sleepers and offered us the option to change to a lower floor for the remaining nights if it became an issue. The next morning at breakfast, she personally checked in with us again regarding the room, and it turned out to be perfectly fine for us, we didn’t notice much noise as we were still awake around that time. Since this was our anniversary trip (which I had indicated in the hotel remarks), our room was beautifully decorated with towel-shaped swans and rose petals, a really lovely touch. The next morning at breakfast, after our meal, Lily came by and presented us with a specially made coconut pandan pudding dessert. She shared that it was prepared for us today as we seemed a little tired from traveling the day before. During breakfast as well, Lily brought up about our request with housekeeping team for a firm pillow from the night before. Although we were initially told only one type was available, she took the initiative to explain and said she would try to source one for us. That very night, I received a firm pillow, truly thoughtful service. Lily also helped us plan our travel time to the airport, offered to assist with booking the hotel spa via her personal contact, and gave fantastic local food recommendations like cháo sườn with quẩy and rượu (sadly the shop was closed when we arrived, but it’s definitely on my list for my next trip to Hanoi). What really stood out is how Lily picks up on small cues and chooses the right moment to communicate, making everything feel very natural and personalized rather than forced. There was even more she helped us with along the way, always attentive and proactive, which really made a difference to our stay. To top it all off, during checkout, we were gifted local souvenirs, Trung Nguyen coffee drip filter and coffee powder, which was such a lovely and thoughtful gesture. Overall, an outstanding stay. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return on our next trip to Hanoi 🩷

An amazing location which is a short walk/grab away from many of the attractions that tourists want to see. Very nice and good looking hotel. Cool place to chill for the hot weather during this time of the year too. Tourist spots within walking distances. Helpful reception. Only thing was that the wait to check in was a big long as they were cleaning up the room. Maybe the previous group checked out late. Standards for four-star hotels can vary significantly from one country or region to another, and this often leads to very different expectations for travelers who are familiar with the rating systems in their own countries. What is considered a four-star experience in China, for example, may not align perfectly with what you will find in Vietnam. With that in mind, the Sen Grand Hotel & Spa Managed by Sen Group in Hanoi offers a stay that I would describe as neither particularly impressive nor particularly disappointing—somewhere comfortably in the middle. The hotel does have a few positive points worth mentioning. One of the main advantages is its location. It is situated fairly close to a main road, making it convenient for guests who want quick access to transportation, nearby shops, and general city activity. This can be especially useful if you plan to explore Hanoi frequently or rely on ride-hailing services. Additionally, the area around the hotel has no shortage of dining options. You will find many restaurants and small eateries right at the doorstep, which makes it easy to grab a meal at almost any time without having to travel far. However, like many mid-range hotels in Southeast Asia, the Sen Grand Hotel & Spa does have some shortcomings. The most noticeable issue is the water pressure during showers. Guests who prefer strong water flow may find the shower experience somewhat underwhelming, especially during peak hours. While this is not a severe flaw, it does impact the overall comfort level of the stay and may be something to keep in mind if consistent hot water and strong pressure are important to you. Aside from the water pressure, there are no major defects or serious problems with the hotel. The rooms are generally clean, the basic amenities function as expected, and the service is acceptable for a hotel in this price range. It may not offer the refined details or higher-end comfort that travelers would expect from a four-star hotel in China, but it does provide a practical and reasonably comfortable place to stay if your expectations are aligned with local standards. In terms of atmosphere, the hotel strikes a balance between simplicity and functionality. It does not deliver a luxurious experience, but it also does not fall short in any critical area. For travelers who prioritize convenience, accessibility, and basic comfort over premium facilities, this hotel meets the needs sufficiently. Overall, if you have alternative choices, you may consider comparing your options, especially if you are looking for amenities that match Chinese four-star standards more closely. However, if your choices are limited or you simply need a decent, reliable place to stay in Hanoi without major concerns, the Sen Grand Hotel & Spa is a reasonable option. It offers a straightforward experience that fulfills the essential requirements of a short or medium-length stay.

Overall service rendered is good. Both Lisa and Sunny are very warm and helpful. Location of hotel can be identified easily as it is very near to the old St Joseph Cathedral. Hotel facility is a little aged, for example, the flexible shower head, we did encounter a little difficulty to use. Room is a little small and room has only one lugguage rack cum sofa seating bench. For us, we have 2pcs of lugguages and one of them will need to be put on top of writing desk to be opened up. As a transit hotel in our overall tour, this hotel is great. Hanoi Paon Hotel & Spa is fine overall. It’s worth staying here if you get a good price, but it doesn’t really feel worth it at a higher rate. The breakfast is nice with a good selection and was one of the better parts of the stay. The view, especially from higher floors or the rooftop, is pleasant and adds to the experience. The hotel is comfortable enough and well located in the Old Quarter, but nothing particularly stands out.
