I absolutely loved it, a must-see for everyone! Unforgettable emotions and a trip back to childhood. :)

Compared to Disneyland Paris, it's a million times better! I definitely recommend buying ride passes in advance: we ignored the bloggers and did it anyway, and we were delighted. On a weekday lunchtime, the lines were about 60-130 minutes long. The food is an acquired taste: expensive and not at all tasty. I highly recommend the Pirate Battle—we went there twice, it's truly amazing. We also liked Zootopia and Tron. The other rides were less impressive—they weren't even memorable. A big drawback is the heat while waiting: it's tough to stand in line, and the fans are barely any help. It only gets easier closer to the air-conditioned areas—it's strange that they didn't think of this with the constant high humidity and heat. I'm also surprised by the lack of Russian language support. We've had a visa-free regime for a year now, and usually there's at least basic Russian translation in tourist areas, but this one was lacking. Overall, Disneyland is really cool—I definitely recommend visiting!

My first Disney castle ever! 🏰 It fulfilled my girlish dream. The weather was perfect in early December – cool and pleasantly sunny without being too cold. The park had so many great photo spots! 😍 And the Christmas atmosphere was wonderful! 🧑🏻‍🎄

Things to Do at Shanghai Disneyland

Shanghai Disneyland is not just for kids. It is a full-day trip where you can enjoy rides, take photos, watch shows, meet Disney characters, and try cute themed snacks. For Filipino travelers, it is best to come early because the park is big, the popular rides can have long lines, and you will want enough time for both attractions and photos.

Here are the must-try experiences inside the park:

1. Zootopia: Hot Pursuit

Zootopia: Hot Pursuit

Located in the Zootopia area, this is one of the most exciting rides at Shanghai Disneyland. You will join Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde on a police chase through different parts of Zootopia. The ride is indoors, fast-moving, and full of fun details, so it is great even if you are not a big thrill ride person.

  • Vibe: Fun, colorful, and very immersive
  • Best for: Families, Zootopia fans, and first-time visitors
  • Tip: Ride this early because the queue can get long during the day

2. Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure

Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure

  • Vibe: Grand, exciting, and visually amazing
  • Best for: Almost everyone, including families and groups of friends
  • Tip: This is a good ride to try when you want something exciting but not too scary

3. TRON Lightcycle Power Run

TRON Lightcycle Power Run is one of the best rides for thrill seekers. You ride like you are on a futuristic motorcycle, then launch into a dark, neon-style track with fast turns and music.

  • Vibe: Fast, futuristic, and exciting
  • Best for: Travelers who love roller coasters
  • Tip: If you can, try riding at night because the lights make the experience even better

  • Best for: Families with kids and Disney fans
  • Tip: This is a good first coaster if you are not used to fast rides

We had a wonderful stay at Shanghai Disneyland Hotel. Check-in on the desk and app was a breeze. The staff taught us how to register for the online early admission and and how to link our purchased Disney tickets. One of the highlights was the 8:30pm fireworks viewing area, which allowed us to enjoy the show beautifully while staying away from the main crowds — perfect for families. It was accompanied by the sound effects that would otherwise be played at Disneyland itself. The 10th anniversary treasure hunt was also a lovely touch. The children had so much fun completing it, exploring the hotel grounds and winning games, and it made the stay feel extra special. There were characters meet and greet sessions and even a gift shop that sells special items. The hotel itself is a destination. The facilities were clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The bedrooms were huge and came with a bathtub, children’s amenities and lots of special gifts! Breakfast was amazing, with such a huge variety of food that we simply could not try everything. Most importantly, the service was warm, welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. A memorable Disney experience for the whole family. We hope to be back!

The hotel building is quite unique, and the room itself is very spacious with high ceilings, probably 5 or 6 meters tall. I was traveling with my 11-year-old child, who could comfortably sleep on the sofa. The hotel is very quiet and peaceful. They allowed us a late check-out until 2 PM and also offered free luggage storage. The hotel provides a shuttle service starting at 7 AM, which drops you off at the hotel garden entrance. From there, it's about a 500-meter walk to the Disneyland park entrance. If you get tired in the middle of the day, you can call the front desk from the hotel park entrance, and they'll send the shuttle to pick you up. Even though it's only about 300 meters from the hotel, it's a huge help when you're exhausted. After 2 PM, they offer a simple menu with options like braised pork rice, wontons, and fried rice. Plus, if you spend over 200, you get a 50 voucher. Overall, it's a great choice if you're visiting Disneyland.

The hotel is super convenient, just a 2-3 minute walk to Bicester Village. Getting to Disney Town is also easy by taxi, bus, or ferry. The hotel environment is very quiet. Although there's a hot spring, I didn't have time to try it this visit, but I'll definitely check it out next time. All the staff are incredibly polite. Before the New Year, we went on a spontaneous trip with one child and one adult. The experience was beyond our expectations when we stayed at Xianshe Villa for our visit to Shanghai Disneyland. The environment was clean and tidy, the housekeeper service was warm and considerate, the auntie's breakfast was nutritious, and the driver picked us up at Disneyland safely and on time. The villa provided both the warmth of home and the services and supporting facilities of a five-star hotel. The experience was perfect. My child is already looking forward to staying at Xianshe Villa for the next Disney trip with her classmates and bestie.

Our stay in the Woody-themed room was a delightful surprise! It was packed with animated elements, and we got to take home bath towels, luggage tags, and pillowcases, plus there were other complimentary gifts like sticky notes. Most importantly, the room was very clean and definitely worth staying in. Breakfast was better than we expected, really tasty, and the restaurant wasn't crowded when we went around 10 AM. After eating, we even made some fridge magnet crafts. Staying at the Toy Story Hotel made everything so convenient; after checking in in the morning, we didn't have to worry about a thing – our luggage was already in our room when we returned in the afternoon. The lobby and room service staff were all very welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

This Disney homestay really won me over! 🎀 For my recent trip to Disney, I discovered an amazing guesthouse that I absolutely have to recommend to everyone! 🏠 Guesthouse Name: Shanghai Ruyi Pavilion Special Guesthouse 📍 Location: Super close to Disney, about a 10-minute drive. The owner offers shuttle service, which is incredibly convenient! 🌳 Environment: The room is decorated very warmly, the bedding is comfortable, and the hygiene is really well-maintained. 💁♀️ Service: The owner is so enthusiastic and thoughtful! 🍽 Dining: The breakfast selection is good, and everything tastes great. 💰 Value for money: Among guesthouses around Disney, the price is genuinely fair. It's hard to find such good facilities and service at a similar price point. Staying at this guesthouse really added a lot to my Disney trip. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Disney!

The location was great and easy to find, though it was a bit of a walk from the subway station. We even caught the Disney fireworks display right as we were approaching! The inn had little lights on its roof that were visible from afar. Check-in was smooth, and we were escorted to our room. Breakfast was delivered to our room the next morning and had such a wide variety of dishes that my child and I couldn't even finish it all! 😄 They also offer a shuttle service to Disney, which was incredibly convenient. 【High-Value Family B&B Experience Near Disney】A Perfect Holiday Home for Two Adults and Two Children. Parents bringing their kids to Disney, listen up! This original B&B by Mr. Gao & Ms. Feng is definitely worth saving! As first-time Disney visitors, our whole family had an unexpectedly wonderful experience: **Space Magician**: The 40+ sqm space is incredibly well-utilized. The slide in the room made the kids scream with delight the moment they walked in! My 6-year-old and 4-year-old immediately turned the slide area into their secret base. Sleeping on the 1.8-meter main bed with mom was completely comfortable for both kids, and dad got plenty of rest on the bottom bunk of the 1.2-meter bunk bed. **Parent-Child Detail Obsessive's Dream**: Corner protectors and outlet covers are fully equipped. The children's showerhead is at just the right height, and a thoughtful step stool is provided at the washbasin. Details truly matter here. **Behind-the-Scenes Dedication**: The owner personally cleans all rooms and public areas. All linens are washed in-house, not outsourced. Toiletries, drinking water, and snacks are all high-quality brands, often the same ones the owners or their children use. So, features like a wet/dry separation bathroom, Laifen hairdryer, and JmGO projector, which would be praised elsewhere, almost go unnoticed here. **Hidden Disney Tips**: The owner provided many practical tips for our park visit, saving us a lot of trouble! At checkout, my daughter was given a small drink, which she said tasted great, and kept asking her mom to buy more on the way home. **Suggestions for Improvement**: I hope a detachable bed rail can be added to the side of the bed (for more peace of mind when sleeping with younger children). Providing stroller rental would be even better. Although slightly more expensive than surrounding B&Bs, enjoying private butler-style service for 200 RMB per person is incredibly good value! We didn't get to experience the large lawn in the yard, the mini-pool in the backyard, or the rooftop terrace this time, but they've left us plenty to look forward to. It looks like our accommodation for our second Disney trip in a few years has already been pre-booked!

They also gave us lots of helpful tips for our Disney trip the next day, which saved us a lot of time and made our visit really enjoyable. The free pick-up and drop-off service for a two-night stay was incredibly convenient, especially after watching the fireworks when everyone is leaving and it's hard to find a taxi. Having a driver waiting for you was a fantastic experience. Before we returned to the hotel, the front desk staff even turned on the air conditioning in our room, so it was warm and cozy when we got back – a really thoughtful touch. I highly recommend this guesthouse; I'll definitely choose to stay here again the next time we visit Disneyland.

I visited Qianyun after looking at dozens of places in the area. I wanted to be away from typical city area, have a bathtub and nice outdoor area, and with easy access to Shanghai Disneyland. Qianyun met all those requirements and more! The location was immediately very serene and surrounded by forest, but still easy to access lots of waimai food delivery options. They were also very kind and proactive about sharing information about local restaurants and activities, and provide a breakfast and evening fruit every day. They offer free car transport to Disneyland, and I was excited to use this service but I ended up enjoying my time at the hotel so much that I opted to stay and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere instead! The hotel pets are so friendly - within five minutes the little cat Banban was on my lap and purring. The room itself is decorated very nicely with all the amenities you need. The bathtub inside is very comfortable and I loved the outdoor hot spring tub as well. The attention to hygiene is very highly emphasized and I was impressed with how clean and luxurious everything felt. I will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone hoping to have a convenient getaway from the city, or who would like to be near to Disneyland Resort while also experiencing a more peaceful area and for a good economical value and high quality service! Thankyou for the wonderful stay, I felt very welcome at all times.

There are electric carts on the property, and the staff proactively offer rides for short trips. The housekeeping staff always greeted me warmly whenever they passed by, and the cleanliness was impeccable.

Went to Disneyland with my sister and our two little ones. We chose the Courtyard by Marriott and loved the 2.4-meter king bed. The room was clean and tidy. They offer multiple shuttle buses to Disneyland, and even a stroller rental service. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and patient; they even waived the breakfast fee for one of our kids who was just slightly over the height limit. We didn't get a chance to try the hotel's kids' activities because we were off to Disneyland, but I hope to stay again and experience them next time! Facilities: Excellent Hygiene: Clean and Tidy Environment: Quiet and Comfortable Service: Warm and Attentive (Unlimited rides/passengers during your stay) Disneyland & Pudong Airport & Hongqiao Railway Station & Hongqiao Airport T2 Terminal & The Bund — fixed-point and fixed-time shuttle service available, as well as pick-up/drop-off service to Kangxin Highway Metro Station.

Third night, the treehouse. The bathtub was behind the bed, and there was a terrace outside the French windows, very quiet. In the morning, we went to Disney from the RV. After lunch in town, we returned to the treehouse to rest. During this time, the staff had already arranged our room change and moved our luggage to the treehouse, which was very convenient. After showering and resting in the treehouse, we went back to Disney in the afternoon, feeling much more relaxed. Our stay these past few days has been great. Thank you.

Enjoy Disney with dedicated shuttle service to and from the subway station: The driver was punctual and waited for us. The vehicle was a spacious business van, very comfortable to ride in. The owner confirmed the pick-up and drop-off times with us in advance, which was incredibly convenient. Highly recommended! Service: The breakfast porridge was delicious, and there was a good variety of options. For the price, it's excellent value for money. They even packed breakfast for us since we had early access to Disney and didn't have time to eat there. Facilities: We booked a room with a bathtub, which was perfect for a relaxing soak after a long day. However, the fixed showerhead on the third floor had poor water pressure; I'd suggest getting that fixed. I prefer not to use handheld showerheads. Hygiene: I always bring my own disposable three-piece bedding set when traveling, so I can sleep soundly, whether it's a guesthouse or a star-rated hotel. I'll always use my own sheets and duvet covers. Even with meticulous cleaning, it's hard to avoid some guests with personal hygiene issues. Also, the air conditioning's heating was quite effective. I forgot to take photos of the room, but it looked exactly like the pictures.

I stayed at Qing Shu Homestay many years ago, and I've chosen it again without hesitation after comparing it to other newly opened hotels recently. It's so convenient with its pickup and drop-off service, which is a great personal touch, and breakfast is included. It's very close to Disneyland and quiet at night. I booked a twin room, which was very spacious, equipped with hangers and a dehumidifier. Everything was great, except for the showerhead in the bathroom, which could use an upgrade. I'd suggest adding some Disney-themed fabric sofas and maybe some Zootopia stickers on the walls to enhance the atmosphere. I hope this great value-for-money homestay continues to improve and thrive!

This B&B has all the basic amenities, including a projector. Most importantly, the owner is super nice and offers free pick-up and drop-off services, including to Disneyland and the subway station, with very flexible timings. Even if we finished late at the park, the owner would wait for us. The breakfast in the morning had a good variety and was very healthy; the pickled vegetables were delicious 😋. If visiting Disneyland is your main itinerary, staying here is a perfect choice! I'll definitely stay here again next time I go to Disneyland ^_^

The room was spacious and very clean. The owner was incredibly kind and helped us immediately whenever we encountered any issues. There's a shuttle service once in the morning and once in the evening, which is very convenient for getting to and from Disneyland since it's so close. The 'wedding candy' and 'love letter' were in the same spot, which was a nice touch.

The room was incredibly clean! The owner, a lovely lady, was also super nice. She even prepared breakfast for us early in the morning and gave us directions. She's really easy to talk to, and the guesthouse is close to the subway, making it very convenient for getting around! I'll definitely choose Shiguang Xiaoyuan again next time I'm in Shanghai!

I stayed in this B&B for two consecutive days. The facilities are very complete and clean, and the soundproofing is quite good. It was very quiet at night. The toiletries are also very exquisite. The hygiene and environment inside and outside the room and the courtyard are very good. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, I felt a full Disney atmosphere. The kids loved it. The owner is very kind and the service is great. It is close to Disney and there is shuttle service. The breakfast is also clean and hygienic. This B&B is super convenient all day long, and the quality and value are good. I strongly recommend renting a stroller from the owner. It is much cheaper than inside Disney. You can also buy Disney headbands here. I think Disney headbands have a good atmosphere. I just want a cheap and beautiful one 😊

The kids loved the room and played in the little tent for a long time. However, this type of room always has soundproofing issues. Most people who come here are out early and back late, which affected our sleep a bit. The breakfast selection was quite limited, and the kitchen hygiene was just okay.
