The room was average, but the location was excellent, right in the city center, next to Victoria Park—that was its only advantage. The exterior is reminiscent of the old post office building, which is quite beautiful.
The owner is Chinese, so the hotel is a bit disappointing. 1. There's no drinking water in the room, ostensibly touted as environmentally friendly. You have to get water near the elevator, but it's a bit worse if you're closer.
2. The breakfast was the worst of all Marriott hotels worldwide. Very disappointing. There were only a few options, and the coffee was mediocre. The salmon was incredibly salty, and there were only a few breakfast stalls, with virtually nothing to choose from. And the breakfast was incredibly expensive. Only the freshly squeezed juice was okay.
3. There were no toothbrushes in the room; you had to get them from the front desk. And this is a five-star hotel! The bathroom was decently large, but the toilet didn't have a glass door. Instead, they had a built-in shower stall. A glass door was a real cost. 😮💨 That's the way only Chinese owners behave!

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, however I had to ask for a room clean services on two separate days because they hadn't arrived yet - which was disappointing for a hotel in this level even if it was fully booked. Also, I had no help with my luggage when I arrived there, even though the bedroom had a sleeping gallery and I was a bit surprised to have to carry everything myself in a suitcase (with lots of steps). Overall, nice.

Hilton hotel is our go to hotel in Adelaide, good size rooms, functional amenities and great views. Nothing pretentious just a all round great hotel at a reasonable price.

Good location and price are reasonable. Serve very good breakfast . Value for money . Very near to the convention centre and the park, was fortunate to catch up with the Australian day celebration at the park beside the hotel.

Excellent service from all staff. Attentiveness and polite. Clear communication on arrival.
Ambience in hotel lobby, room perfect, buffet simple standard fair but good quality food. Variety enough for the small crowd staying in.
Staff were friendly and prompt with our needs.
Only 1 day after collecting our breakfast we asked if like usual the staff could place our coffee orders but she replied there a machine up front to help ourselves.
Otherwise definitely return to the hotel for my trips to Adelaide.

Was a great stay, pool is beautiful but smaller than I initially thought. It gets over crowded easily, cant imagine how busy it is during holiday season. Breakfast buffet was OK, although there were not that many options. Nice room, clean and comfy (relatively new building)

Review of Stay at Stamford Plaza Adelaide (24–28 August 2025)
The hotel enjoys an excellent location right in Adelaide’s city centre.
The front desk staff made a strong impression, especially Luke and Iris, who went above and beyond during my stay. On 25 August, when I developed a skin allergy, Luke responded swiftly, recommending a nearby clinic and checking in on my condition with genuine care. Iris was equally attentive — she quickly resolved an air-conditioning issue by arranging a room change, and later, when the lifts were out of order, she promptly guided guests to use the staff lift. Their professionalism and kindness were greatly appreciated.
Overall, the hotel would benefit from refurbishment to match the outstanding service provided by its staff.
However, while the service was commendable, the rooms did not meet basic five-star standards. Cleanliness was below expectations, and the shower design caused water to spill into the toilet area. Overall, the hotel would benefit from refurbishment to match the outstanding service provided by its staff.

The staff are nice and friendly. They offered free drinks for us, which is amazing. It is super close to the rundle mall, but a bit inconvenient for us to explore Chinatown. We ended up not having breakfast there only because it is quite expensive for a family. The window is facing the parking space and it could be loud sometimes in the middle of night, so it wasnt ideal.
An anniversary celebration in the city. Location was beautiful and very easily accessible by foot or electric scooter (which I loved). Hotel was exceptionally clean, loved the lay out. Rooms well designed and beds very comfortable. The restaurant was gorgeous with views of the oval. My deducted points are merely because we were unable to get a drink when the bar closed at around 10.30pm (sat night) and we were unable to be served in reception (unsure why as they had a dmall bar too). The hotel is truly beautiful. I was happy with one night, more than one and I would be missing a swimming pool in that environment. Staff were lovely, professional and courteous.
The location is excellent, right by Glenelg Beach. Supermarkets and restaurants are all within a 5-10 minute walk. Driving to Adelaide city center or the airport takes only 15 to 30 minutes. The hotel also has a casino and a bar where you can enjoy a drink or try your luck. While the hotel shows its age a bit, it's clean and the rooms are spacious enough. Breakfast was just average, with limited food choices, but the view was lovely. The paid parking lot is not in the same building as the hotel; it's across the street, about 30 steps away, so you'll need to carry your luggage over.

GGuest UserWe stayed at the hotel for my husband's birthday and had a great time. Loved the heated pool and jacuzzi. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, very cramped and staff were struggling to keep up, did not feel like a five star experience. Balcony really tiny with no view, so not one you could actually use. Service was excellent and staff were very friendly.

KKazzy travelerNoise, noise noise....
I decided to try it out instead of staying in North Adelaide. I asked for a quiet room and was given a 6th floor room directly facing the big intersection at Elder Rd. Even though double glazed, the huge wall of glass did little to dampen the 24 hour barrage of truck, bus, motorcycle and hoon car noise from the busy intersection. I tried to swap to an inner atrium facing room and found they are just as noisy with noise from the downstairs bar. Doors to rooms have no door seals and the badly adjusted door closers slam them shut. I hardly slept and will not be returning.
