Sheraton Grand Salzburg
4.4/577 Reviews
This hotel's location is excellent. It is about 15 minutes walk to the old town centre and 10 minutes to the railway station. The meeting point for local tours to Hallstatt and other places is just around the corner. The reception staff are always attentive and polite. They have greeted me with a smile whenever they saw me. The restaurant Mirabelle's Italian cuisine is one of the best I have ever tasted. The staff there are very welcoming and caring. The hotel's room service delivered very good food at a reasonable price too. The room is of a good size and the bed is comfortable. The only thing I don't like is the noise of the vehicle clearing rubbish bins. It always woke me up before six in the morning. So choose the rooms on the garden side if there is a choice.
HYPERION Hotel Salzburg
4.5/580 Reviews
When I was looking for a hotel for a 1-night stay in Salzburg, I stumbled upon the listing for the Hyperion and took a chance. I wasn't familiar with the Hyperion hotel brand and didn't know much about Salzburg. Now, I have fallen under the spell of both the hotel and the city. The Hyperion is a fairly new hotel and it is in pristine shape. The room is rather generously sized compared to most of the European hotels I have stayed in thus far. The bathroom was particularly good -- with an American-style shower that featured both a handheld wand and a rain shower head. The separate water closet was a plus. The technology in the room (especially the lighting tech) is impressive, if not slightly confusing. Nice touch to have the Nescafe machine and the Mozart chocolates. The bed was very comfortable. The location, next to Mirabell Gardens, was great. The hotel staff was helpful. We arrived early, and the front desk gave us tips on how to spend our afternoon, drawing out some local attractions on the map and suggesting we get a Salzburg card (we already had them). They also gave us a recommendation for dinner, but we were turned away at the restaurant, which was full. In stead, we dined at the restaurant in the hotel, which was quite nice. Service was solid. Breakfast is a tad expensive, but they do offer a wide assortment of breakfast items (hot and cold) as well as eggs made to order. Champagne was also available for mimosas. Nice touch.
Salzburgerhof, Das 5-Sterne Hotel Von Zell am See

We ski in Austria every year with family, always at a 5 Star Hotel. This is by far the WORST family ski hotel in Austria. It’s ridiculous that it has been allowed to keep its rating. No help with bags on checkin. We had to drag them from the street ourselves. Our flight was late, we arrived at 9pm and were told there was no food available at the hotel. No room service menu. No chance of the kitchen making our hungry child a sandwich. At 9pm. We were confused as we could see that the restaurant was still sending out plates of food to guests sitting at the tables. We asked why we couldn’t sit down and maybe have some cheese and fruit (we had paid for dinner for the whole family that night). They refused to let us. Our daughter was upset but they wouldn’t even give her a piece of bread. Come here if you feel like begging for scraps like Oliver Twist on your first night! The hotel is quite far from the lifts. It says it provides a ski lift shuttle bus until 5pm. We waited for half an hour at the ski lifts but the bus didn’t come. We rang the hotel reception and they said it would be 15mins. We ended up walking and the bus was parked outside the hotel. Empty. No sign of a driver. My husband politely asked at reception why the bus hadn’t come for us. Their answer? “We bend over backwards for our guests. He’s on his way.” He pointed out that we were already returned so it wasn’t much help. Blank face. Turned to another guest. So come ski here! It’s fabulously awful. The Tyrolerhof next door looks great btw. I have attached two pictures, one of us trudging home and one of the bus waiting at reception while they bend over backwards to ignore us.
Rosewood Schloss Fuschl
4.6/571 Reviews
[Small fresh Deao 18th anniversary trip 2006-2024] Schloss Fuschl Rosewood located in Fuscher Lake Salzburg has only opened this summer. When you come to Salzburg, you must live here to experience the castle where Princess Sissi lived. 1. Hotel service is very intimate: from our driving, there will be staff to help us valet parking, and at the same time take the luggage of the car to the room according to our requirements. When checking in, we will give us a drink that is said to be the favorite of Princess Sissi. Try a mouthful of sour plum soup with mixed berries! Then the housekeeper in charge of our housekeeper is an Austrian handsome guy, who will take us like Liu Yujin into the Grand View Garden, visit a circle of hotels, and then introduce them one by one, knowing that I am a fan of Princess Sissi, and have watched nearly 30 movies since childhood. He will also go overseas to see Princess Sissi's musical. He is also a little surprised. He told me that there is also a Princess Sissi Museum in the hotel, which is super exquisite treasures! 2. The location of the hotel is super good: just on the edge of Lake Fuscher, we booked a terrace room, open the floor-to-ceiling windows and walk to the terrace to drink tea facing the lake view. Then there is the suite of Emperor Franz Joseph upstairs. 3. I have to say that the shortcomings of the hotel are: the road sign is not big enough and not clear enough, especially from the Panshan Highway driving, even if I have been driving google navigation, it is easy to miss the sheep intestine trail leading to the hotel; And the entrance of the hotel is a narrow road with a 45-degree downhill. If you encounter a opposite drive, it will be a bit embarrassing. 4. Hotel dining is generally the same: it is a bit difficult to say about eating this thing here....Because I knew before I came, this was a hotel in the countryside, and there were no restaurants nearby, so I booked see terrace, by email early. Who knows that the weather is approaching and the email said that the lake view global food restaurant was closed due to the weather. , I opened the Schloss restaurant (Castle Restaurant) and I was down in my heart. It was over and it was a meal in the desert. Sure enough, I didn’t expect to see that there were very few menu choices, including fried pork chops, grilled fish, burdock and the like. I ordered mushroom soup, naked-eyed burdock, and Shuflei, and I felt that the burdock was not bad, but the sauce was not good. I asked the waiter to give black pepper. Shu Fulei is so big, the taste is good, but with plum sauce, it is the feeling of European and American sweetness to the hair.... In an instant, I really want to go back to the room or eat the eagle money fresh fried salmon canned in Go Asian supermarket before I came! Overall, this rosewood is perfect for a holiday and a slow life!
Hotel Goldener Hirsch, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Salzburg

The highlight of this 600-year-old hotel is the service. The front desk or restaurant service is excellent. Professional service. Many high-end hotels have it. But this one makes people feel particularly sincere. Every word and every sentence they listen to and answer carefully and surpasses expectations. You do a good job, for example, when you see me have a bunch of coins at checkout, I will take the initiative to change the whole amount of money. I consult the trip to Munich and immediately help me find out and print out a list of the specific situation, which company bought the tickets How to get to the station ticket office Breakfast is average, but children are free (my child is 9 and a half years old) If you do not want to eat, there are McDonald's and Starbucks a few steps away, but the environment is always good One of the hotel's restaurants is the local one. It is the first recommendation on the lonely planet, so dinner can be solved at the hotel every day. One big one, two small juices, one soup, two main courses. Tips are not included. The service is great. Up Karajan was a frequent visitor to this restaurant The quilt is very comfortable Next to LV Anyway, I'd definitely choose here again

The hotel is next to the Salzach River, and the environment, location and service are all first-class. Next door is Karajan's birthplace, and all attractions are within a 15-minute walk, which is very convenient. The hotel breakfast and overall service feel better than Vienna. This hotel is the best part of the 7-day trip to Austria. The bartender at the bar is also very friendly. He took the initiative to chat with me and took out a bottle of Luzhou Baijiu to show off to me. Definitely the first choice for staying in Salzburg.
Das Edelweiss - Salzburg Mountain Resort

Wow, this family run hotel surpassed all expectations. We all likened it to a a cross between Sandy Lane, Barbados for the casual friendly factor and Gleneagles, Scotland as it had so much for everyone to do. It is very special indeed. Service is slick and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The owners can be seen working in the hotel daily so they really have their fingers on the pulse, know every guest and everything that is going on. It is an incredibly well run hotel located right next to the ski lift. Everything is made easy for you. Ski hire in the hotel is exceptional with brand new equipment. You are given your own heated locker for the duration of your stay. Everything is spotlessly clean. We stayed the week before Christmas and whilst there was snow not all the blue runs were open, so skiing was a little limited. We booked a two bedroom family suite and a couple of classic rooms for our parents. The rooms have all been recently renovated. They are modern and comfortable. The two bedroom suite worked really well for us as a family having the two bedrooms, two bathrooms and lounge. Be warned the classic rooms have open plan bathrooms which would not have worked for us but if there is only one person in the room its fine. The hotel has an excellent spa spread over five floors and we made use of it every day. My children loved chilling in the family spa on the swinging chairs and using the sauna and steam room before going outside and lying in the snow. The family pool is glorious and the slides spotlessly clean and so much fun. The adult area is like nothing I have ever experienced before - and I have stayed in a lot of beautiful spa hotels. It is exquisite. I had one of the best facials I have had for a long long time. My skin came out decongested and glowing. Even my eyebrows got plucked to perfection in the process. The indoor outdoor pool in the top floor is very special. The facilities for children (including teenagers ) is superb. My children spent hours in the high tech games room and equally enjoyed the jungle gym in the basement. They were thrilled when they worked out both rooms were connected. Even us adults enjoyed spending time playing on the games. Meal times were a treat. Breakfast is a huge spread with everything your heart could desire ( although my daughter and I did wish they would turn on the cream machine at breakfast so we could have cream with our pancakes…… but maybe its a good thing it is off!) I defy anyone to come home weighing the same as they did at the start of the holiday! Evening meals were included in our package. I was a little sceptical of this thinking the food would not be so good but there was a huge choice, something for everyone from fine dining to comfort food. Everything is cooked fresh and is delicious. Even my vegetarian daughter and celiac mother were well catered for. If what my children wanted wasn’t on the menu, it was not a problem, the chef would make them what they wanted
