Stayed here for 2N as we were visiting the Tateyama Alpine route. Was clean, modern and rooms were quite spacious! We liked that toilets had both a shower and tub, also gave us kids amenity bag. Very near the Toyama station, just a 3min walk. Opposite was a mall and you could go there for meals and shopping. Staff were all friendly and we enjoyed our stay very much.
I love the location, just 250m from Toyama Station. Breakfast was amazing. Seven-Eleven Convenience Store is located under the hotel. Family Mart and Lawson is nearby too. The Room is not too big, The bathroom was nice, the water pressure was so good. I love my stay.
The hotel is relatively new, with on site parking. It is located at the top few floors of a business building. There no hotel reception on the ground floor only a phone and the entrance is hard to find if you are driving and it’s at the back of the building. The window shows you the major railway system of Nagoya as JR Nagoya station is just next stop and visible from the window. So a must for train lovers.
The staff at the hotel is helpful but their English is minimal but for sure they are polite and cordial. There’s always staff cleaning in the other room when I go in and out of the hotel, but they somehow managed to not bother me and find the right time to clean my room.
There is no other facility such as swimming pool, onsen or washing machines in the hotel. There’s a large family mart on ground floor and a few restaurants in the complex but we are always out during the day and didn’t have a choice to enjoy them.
The hotel breakfast is delicious and the choices are ample. It also has the skyline view of Nagoya.
Overall I would recommend this hotel if you want a little piece and quiet when you travel. And you might need to walk extra or take 1 more stop in the Metro to go back to hotel.
It’s an excellent hotel but I think more suitable for adults.
For this trip to Japan, we chose some off-the-beaten-path cities. Toyama, in particular, is a hidden gem perfect for a leisurely stroll and exploration. The DoubleTree by Hilton is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from JR Toyama Station, which made luggage storage incredibly easy. The area around the station is bustling with malls, supermarkets, and izakayas. Upon check-in, they maintained their signature tradition of offering a warm chocolate chip cookie, a much-appreciated treat after our long journey. The rooms boast a modern, wooden style, and there's a Japanese-style public bath on-site. This hotel is an ideal stop for anyone traveling along the Hokuriku Shinkansen line.
I stayed here for two nights and have been pleasantly surprised by the service and convenience of the hotel. I was allocated a Double Room when I checked in.
The staff spoke English pretty well & were able to assist me in shipping my luggage to my next accoms. The room is also clean and spacious. Additionally, it was extremely close to the train stations so this was very easy for me to navigate around.
If you are planning a quiet Japanese hot spring trip, the open-air bath is very good. You can enjoy free tea and whiskey after the hot spring, and you can drink Kirin beer from 3 to 6 pm. We stayed on the 12th floor, and it snowed a lot, so the view was really good. The parking lot was spacious, and the room was also spacious and clean. The breakfast was plentiful and had a lot of fresh food, so I was able to eat it gratefully. The staff was so kind that they relieved my worries about renting a car and driving to an unfamiliar area in the heavy snow. Thanks to them, I was able to drive safely and finish my trip to Japan. I am grateful for the kindness of this town. It is far from the city, so it would be easier to get around if you have a car, but I would like to go again next time because I can fully enjoy a quiet Japanese hot spring trip and it has the best facilities for the price.
It's an old hotel. But location still within 7-8 mins walk from JR Toyama Station. Infront Hotel have the City Tram station.
Hotel corridor was low and lighting was very dim.
Room are justifiable for single room.
The only problem was the bed mattress are too soft, when u sit on the bed, u can feel the mattress immediately pressed till the spring bottom of the mattress haha.
Hotel do provide refreshment machine for coffee (with bean blending) and soft drink at the ground floor.
Didn't expect my stay are come with the breakfast, unfortunately I only can enjoy 2 days among 4 days stay, due to headed out before the breakfast serving.
The breakfast have local Japanese n western variety too, located high floor with good view.
The room is clean and tidy. You can get Sekkisei's disposable skin care products on the first floor. You can see the Tateyama mountain range without going out in the morning. You can also watch the weather forecast and entertainment programs on TV. Breakfast is on the 12th floor. You can choose Japanese style and style. I chose Japanese style with a fixed set meal. The tableware is very exquisite. There are fluorescent squid and squid sashimi, fresh eyebrows, rice and hot spring eggs. You can add as much as you want. There are also vegetable juices, juices, milk, etc. You can drink as you like. It is still a very satisfactory stay.
The service was excellent, and the location was very convenient for getting around. However, I did find two drawbacks. Firstly, the parking isn't located directly on-site; you have to drive a short distance to it, and the parking fee was quite expensive. Secondly, the twin room felt a bit small.

CChristine TsoiFor anyone travelling along the Tateyama Alpine route, I would highly recommed a stay on the mountain so you can enjoy the scenery without rushing. We love Ryokan (Traditional Japanese Inn) because they always offer delicious course meals (dinner & breakfast) and a public bath. We even enjoyed a free flow of local sake and liquor at dinner! The Midagahara Hotel even offer hiking guides, boots and stargazing guides after dinner. It was a shame that we did not take the hiking trail due to the weather condition (foggy and low visibility), but the stargazing part did not disappoint - we were able to see a sky full of stars by our bare eyes. If we could withstand the cold we could have seen the Milky Way. The hotel shop also offers a wide range of local specialties. We had a nice sleep in our Japanese style room and woke up to a sea of clouds. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to the Tateyama Alpine route.

SSean YW LinSmall but very clean room, very easy access to public parking. Onsen bath is good considered the small size of hotel. Free noodle and ice popsicles are a plus - especially when you struggle to find a restaurant coming back late from Tateyama. Charge money for disposing excessive trash and room markup
看看山看水看雲Close to Uozu station. Hotel is clean and comfortable. There is a coffee machine opposite the reception. There are two public baths in the women's section. Very nice. The best is the free noodles from 9.30-10.30 pm, which is very comforting for travellers. They give out 50 bowls, so make sure you are there if you want to enjoy it. I booked my breakfast there since breakfast starts at 6:30am. There is not much around for breakfast if you are taking an early train to visit the Kurobe Gorge. The food at the hotel was delicious. I was full.
A highly recommended hotel.
