Middlebury Inn

The oldest small hotel in the town. It has a strong English style and ancient furniture. The photo is very warm. We booked the room three months in advance and the hotel upgraded us. We were very satisfied👍 We had dinner at the restaurant on the first floor of the hotel at 7:30 in the evening. We originally wanted to have lobster pasta, but maybe we went late and there was no lobster. We changed it to beef pasta and it tasted the same👍 The portion of the dish is so large that it’s a waste if it can’t be eaten by two people…

The room was clean and spacious and very quiet. The breakfast environment is also good. Overall, the hotel is very new and very comfortable to live in. I will choose this hotel next time.

Paid extra for breakfast included but it was just a coffee bar. Staff was helpful and polite. Will definitely book again
Courtyard Burlington Williston

What a fantastic stay our family had this past weekend! The owner is the type of person that Marriott should be investing in. Pros: + Completely renovated, from top to bottom. All of the pictures you see online are of the pre-renovation property. It is now brought up to par for what you would expect from a Courtyard. + Staff are exceptional. The owner was there on multiple days while we stayed, and he was beyond kind and helpful. + Quiet. One of the most important parts for a hotel stay is that it is quiet at night. This property had well-sealed doors and good wall insulation. Cons: - No EV charger on site. Not a deal breaker as there is a fast charger less than a mile away, but would have been convenient. 100% would return for a future stay.
DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington Vermont

As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I enjoy staying at different properties throughout the Hilton portfolio. On a recent quick trip up to Burlington, I decided to stay at this Doubletree. I found the property to be clean and spacious. While I wasn't able to actually choose a room through pre-check-in, I was assigned to a room at the end of the hall which was adequate for my needs. Despite facing the freeway interchange, noise was no factor. There was plenty of space for my belongings. The internet and TV worked fine, and there were enough outlets to charge my devices. Buffet breakfast in the Atrium was great as well. The only nit I have is that the property's web page advertises a ”free local shuttle” which I never got to use. I travelled to & from Burlington by Amtrak and would be at Union Station downtown. I called the hotel by phone during my travels to Burlington and was told that the shuttle would not be available when the train arrives shortly before 10 PM. OK.... I would take Uber. But they told me one would be available to take me downtown in the morning. When I inquired at check-in about a shuttle in the morning, I was told that it doesn't go to the train station but only goes to other locations. OK.... I'd Uber back as well. Round trip cost me over $60 because I had to reserve the hotel-bound trip in advance to ensure no long wait at 10 PM. Overall it was a great stay, and the location comes recommended (if you don't need a ride to travel there!)
Hampton Inn Brattleboro

Had a nice little stay. They are doing renovations in there so the stairs are blocked off on the ground floor. I prefer to use the stairs. The computer took forever also and I waited upfront for over 30 minutes to check in. Which also was annoying but other than those 2 things. It was nice. The breakfast is always great and the staff were nice!
Best Western Bennington
3.7/5103 Reviews
The staff is friendly here. The hotel is pretty central but about 10 minutes to Bennington College. They don’t provide housekeeping. You have to ask for everything. And if you fill out the form for certain housekeeping items, they still don’t come. Breakfast was nice. WiFi works great. Rooms are a little stuffy but you can open the windows.
Smugglers Notch Inn

We really enjoyed our stay here. It felt very homey. Price was just a bit steep than usual probably since we booked this last minute during peak foliage when almost everything was already fully booked in Vermont. They take your breakfast orders upon checkin. There's also a restaurant next door.
Best Western Plus Windjammer Inn Conference Center
4.3/5102 Reviews
South Burlington
Stayed at the Best Western Windjammer Inn Friday and Saturday night. We were in Burlington, VT for St. Michael’s College family weekend to see my granddaughter who’s a freshman this year. Enjoyed the stay at Windjammer, front desk were courteous and friendly, room was very clean, everything in working order, breakfast was good and although I didn’t go to the restaurant, many people I spoke with said it was also very good. Grounds were well cared for. Looks like whoever is managing this Best Western is doing a great job. I will definitely stay again next year.
Old Stagecoach Inn
4.6/5101 Reviews
Originally built in 1826 as a stagecoach stop and tavern, the inn alternated between hotel, private residence, and boarding house until 1993, when it reopened as a classic Vermont bed and breakfast and has been serving as such ever since. The Inn has retained the ambience of the original inn. There is a cozy parlor on the first floor. Drinks and breakfast are also on the first floor. We stayed on the second floor. A steep flight of stairs. We do not do stairs very well. The staff was so accommodating. They carried our bags up and down for us. The beds were very comfortable. Our room did not have a TV, not an issue, just a surprise. A full sit-down breakfast is included in the room rate. I had the granola parfait. My brother had bacon, eggs, hash browns. Both were very good. They have on-site parking. There are 2 things I would like to see: 1. a phone in the room so that you can reach the front desk without going down the stairs; 2. more surfaces on which to put your luggage. Good experience.
