Really nice hotel with really good restaurant. All staff members were really amazing, and made my stay really enjoyable.  The only thing they need to sort out the loud noise that comes from the air conditioning in the middle of the night that can’t be stopped from the room. It kept me awake for the most part of my night.

Feeling easy and comfortable with all basic supplies available. Although the couch in the room is a bit worn, overall it is a nice experience. Lobby Christmas decoration is decent and festive, great and enjoyable atmosphere!

The carpet in the room and overall was full of marks .The window in the room was not opening and the conditional air was not working so the room was boiling.The breakfast was really poor and the scramble eggs were underusing my friend was vomiting after because of them. And the worse part is that you cannot check in before 3pm and check out has to be before 12 pm so we pay a huge amount of money for a room that doesn’t deserve not even half of it,for less than 24 hours.

Lovely hotel in nice grounds. Friendly reception. Decent room (we stayed in the Sartorial rooms) which was spacious. Good breakfast in the main restaurant although continental was a bit limited. Ate in the evenings at the cafe rather than main restaurant and food was good. Also lovely staff. 

We chose to stay at this hotel because of its convenient location near Stansted Airport, as we had an early flight to catch. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, making it perfect for a good rest before traveling. What stood out was the unique interior and our room was called ”Lisbon”, which was a delightful coincidence since Lisbon was one of our next destinations. Each room is named after a city, which adds a nice touch of character to the hotel. Breakfast was simple but nice, just enough to start the day. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a comfortable and well-located place to stay before flying out from Stansted Airport.

Fabulous location, if you need the airport. But, you have to bus/cab/drive into Southend/Rayleigh/wherever if not wanting the airport. 15min walk to various eateries, if you don't want to eat in the hotel, like Toby Carvery, Hungry Horse, African, fish and chips. Majority of staff seen were happy and chatty, nice to see. 5* breakfast, would definitely recommend as had lots of choice. Room was clean, included bed, desk, chair, armchair, safe, kettle, iron, toiletries, bath&shower.

The room is quite big, very clean, all the supplies do not need to bring, the public area of the hotel is very British, there is a large grass at the entrance of the hotel is very beautiful, it is really good to take a walk in the morning, and the campus view of the University of Essex is also very beautiful on the side.

Our room was spotless , a comfy bed and a good shower , the pool+ hot room area were really good, but for reference there are 3 (members only) aqua aerobics classes a week which use the whole pool , and whose participants’warm up’ prior to the class -so it’s very busy to the class , there are a great selection of (pre bootable )classes , treatments and a well equipped  gym (all obviously open to  members ) , the meal options are delicious, and the staff are charming

I stayed here the night before an early flight. It was very close walking distance to the terminal and breakfast is served from 4am! So it was perfect. Lovely room, lovely staff and lovely food!

I would have given a high score but the sheer noise, disruption and pure havoc caused by disgusting residents having fighting matches in the rooms and corridor close to our room made the stay horrible. The staff were great I trying to deal with terrible guests but the noise still continued and doors regularly slammed hard. Didn’t sleep well at all
