The location in Malina/El Poblado is, of course, excellent for any establishment. That being said, I felt that for its price range, this hotel was more style over substance. While everything is modern and designed to look elegant, the overall impression is rather cramped. For example, the rooftop pool is very small. If there are 10 people there, it starts to get uncomfortable, unless you're looking for a party – but there are better hotels for that. The room itself was very cramped, with limited counter space and a lack of storage. At least there was hot water! :-) It was also extremely noisy. You could hear TVs, music, voices, and singing from other rooms. And the ventilation system in the hallway hummed constantly, as if someone was vacuuming through the corridors non-stop.

Great hostel with a perfect location. 5 minutes walk to Provenza and 15 minutes to the metro. Bed was comfy and the bathroom clean. Hot water and WiFi were available. The staff was friendly and helpful. We could book several tours with the hostel.

This is my second stay at this property. I really enjoyed my first stay and though this could be somewhere that I could book for longer than a week. I booked a double room last time and enjoyed my stay this time I booked a single room but would not return. The single room is a lot smaller than the double and I paid the same price as last time so value for money for this was not so great. View is great, amenities good, no AC and it gets hot in the room. Decent breakfast and friendly staff. The big issue for me on the last 2 nights was a club down the street playing music so loud that I could feel the bass 10 floors up and this went on until 4am. This was Monday and Tuesday night! So hot room as can’t open the window with the music, fan on full, white noise from tv at full volume and ear plugs is not what I’m looking for. I could not return if the bar continues like that. Previous stay no issues, first 5 nights no issues, but this is a big problem for me. I am so thankful I didn’t book the month I was contemplating and left after a week. A double room without the noise at the right price I would return.

A Comfortable Stay with a Great Team My stay at The Somos Beats Hotel was a pleasant experience overall. The staff was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made the stay feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The rooms are cozy and have a relaxed, intimate feel. One of the highlights for me was breakfast. It was fresh, flavorful, and prepared to order by the chef, which made a noticeable difference compared with the typical hotel breakfast experience. The main consideration is the hotel’s location. It sits on a busy street, so there can be some noise and activity around the property, particularly depending on your room and the time of day. I would also note that the property is not ADA compliant and has limited accessibility, so guests with mobility or accessibility needs should take that into consideration before booking. Overall, I’d give The Somos Beats Hotel 4 out of 5 stars. The warm staff, cozy rooms, and fresh breakfast make it a welcoming place to stay, with the location and accessibility limitations being the main areas to keep in mind.

Dos inconvenientes el primero en el hotel me dijeron que la tarifa de tríp que pague, estaba errada en relación con la de hotel. En tríp la tarifa dice incluye tasas e impuestos y en el hotel decían que no. Lo cual generó incomodidad ya que fueron insistentes en esto.. Y en la madrugada 4 am hubo mucho ruido de la habitación continua. .

The view from the hotel was amazing and was definitely the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, several issues took away from the overall experience. There is no phone in the room, so every time we needed assistance we had to go up and down three flights of stairs to reception. When we went down to get the Wi-Fi code, the handwritten note was so unclear that we couldn’t connect and eventually gave up trying. The toilet seat was completely loose, which was very uncomfortable and not ideal at all. We also had no hot water for our shower. Breakfast was extremely limited, with virtually no options available. We travel around the world and have stayed in many different places, and in our opinion this hotel is very overpriced for what it offers. The staff did try to make it up to us the next day, but since we were only staying one night, it didn’t really help. For the price we paid, we were expecting a true 5-star experience.

Overall a great hotel, but one drawback is that there is no electric kettle The room actually comes with a small kitchen with a sink and microwave, but it's of little use to me. Shopping malls and supermarkets around are very convenient However, the hotel entrance is in a shopping mall and is easy to miss. The driver I booked to pick up the airport couldn't find the entrance.

Very well appointed aparthotel with almost everything needed for a comfortable stay. Checking in was easy. They could not accommodate early check in but held bags until my apartment was ready. Very spacious and clean apartment with kitchenette, living space, bedroom, large bathroom and closet. The bed and pillows were very firm, could have been a little more softer. No cutlery provided in the kitchen. The fridge and kitchen were stocked with mostly paid bar items. The walk in shower only has a rain head attachment and not a handheld device which I did not find convenient. Most of the staff were very nice. The rooftop bar and pool area were cosy. Easy to get an uber to and from the Medellin hotspots. Overall, I had a good stay but a few things could be improved for an extra comfortable luxury experience. For the price, it was just okay value considering breakfast was not included.

The location is excellent, exactly in the middle of everything, walk distance to get the metro, many restaurants near by, 10 minutes walking to Provenza, easy to get to a a big super market where you can find all you need including clothes from Colombian brands. They are very good to help you with everything you required. We got a tour with them to Guatapé as they suggest and was a really good experience. The staff is so friendly and helpful, we didn’t have a metro card and they borrow us to used for all the time that we were in the hotel. They explained us where to go, timings, etc. in the place they have an easy metro map on the wall, that you can just see all the spots to visit in Medellin. The place is very clean. I’m very happy and for sure we will be back there when we come to Medellin again.

The service was warm and efficient, and they checked me in quickly before showing me to the room and taking the time to explain how everything in the room worked. The location is excellent if you are looking to explore the lively area nearby, so that was a big plus for me. It is near public transport as well, so overall I would say it is in a very convenient location. Beware of the rooftop bar if you are trying to get to sleep early, so I would suggest asking for a room on a lower floor if you want a really good night's sleep.
