At first, we were unsure about the place, as the exterior and entrance weren’t very appealing. But once inside, the corridor and our room were great — very spacious, with a high-tech toilet, a mini fridge, kettle, and a nice hairdryer. The breakfast was good, the staff were super friendly, and there’s even a small laundry available. The location is fantastic, close to the river, Anshun Bridge, and plenty of restaurants, bars, and clubs. We really loved it and would definitely recommend staying here.

Exceptional Service and a Great Stay
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The service was truly outstanding — the entire front desk team was excellent, especially staff members 33-66, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.
The rooms are very clean, spacious, and comfortable. We initially received a room that had a slight smell of cigarette smoke, but the staff handled it immediately and switched us to a new room with no hassle at all.
This is a great hotel, and I will definitely be coming back again!

Very Good Stay with Minor Quirks
I had a very pleasant stay at the Mercure Chengdu. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance to Chunxi Road. For those needing a late-night bite, there's an abundance of fantastic street food right across the road.
A particular highlight was the booking package that included afternoon tea and ice cream—a lovely touch!
I didn't get a chance to try the breakfast as I was too tired and opted to sleep in instead.
The check-in process was a bit haphazard initially. The first front desk staff who attended to us picked up the phone and became occupied with the call, leaving us waiting. However, another staff member, Li Hao, immediately took over. She was fantastic and even added us on WeChat for easier communication, which was extremely helpful throughout our stay.
I was planning to subscribe to their membership, but unfortunately, the phone line had some issues and I couldn't get through.
The stay was overall comfortable, though there was an occasional cigarette smell in the bathroom vent and a faint sewage smell at times. Nothing major, but noticeable.
Despite these minor issues, it was a positive experience and I would consider staying again.

We initially booked a three-day stay through another platform for around 480-490 CNY in late July. The first day was so comfortable that we immediately extended our stay for another three days via Ctrip for just over 500 CNY. Of our 8-day, 7-night trip, only the very last day required us to stay near the airport for our flight; we were truly sad to leave Ruicheng Hotel.
Traveling as a family of three with an older child, we needed a family room. The one we booked was a suite with two separate areas: an inner room with a 2-meter king-size bed and an outer room with a 1.2-meter single bed. The mattresses felt like a premium silicone type, so turning over didn't disturb anyone. The bedding, which felt incredibly soft and high-quality, likely contained goose down. This suite also featured a bathtub, and we were able to use disposable liners, which was a nice touch. After long days of sightseeing, it was perfect to come back and soak our feet.
The housekeeping staff were incredibly thoughtful; they left us plenty of bottled water daily. One day, I even discovered that my charging cable had been neatly tidied up! The bathroom was always spotless, and toiletries were well-arranged. Front desk service was exceptional. This hotel frequently hosts conferences and banquets, and the entire staff demonstrates high professionalism. As first-time visitors to Chengdu, our six-day stay truly felt like home.
The buffet breakfast is highly recommended; it offers a wide variety of dishes and is available until 10 AM, so many guests treat it as an early lunch. We noticed many families with children also chose this hotel. We often requested extra water, paper cups, and other amenities, which were always delivered to our room free of charge. A huge commendation goes to the sweet, round-faced young lady from the 26th-floor executive level who delivered items; whenever we troubled her, especially during peak tourist times, we'd see her running around, clearly working very hard and a bit out of breath 😀.
The subway stations for Wenshu Monastery and Luomashi are both conveniently close by. I highly recommend 'Lao Wei Dao Sichuan Cuisine' at the New Times Plaza branch, situated in a residential area right by an intersection. It's a charming, small restaurant on a side street. Chatting with the owner couple while enjoying authentic local dishes truly offers a genuine 'back-alley' travel experience.
Wenshu Monastery nearby was our favorite attraction; it isn't overly commercialized. We only managed to visit Wenshu Monastery briefly on our last day, but I suggest allocating more time. Inside, you can find tea tasting, incense offerings, and a library, many of which are free. It also houses numerous paintings and calligraphies by Feng Zikai, creating a profound cultural atmosphere. It's a very serene place, absolutely worth visiting to find inner peace.

A Truly Exceptional 9-Day Stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu
We recently spent 9 days and 8 nights at The Ritz-Carlton Chengdu, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish.
The service at the Club Lounge was outstanding—warm, personalized, and consistently attentive. Jacey, Jasmine, Cathy, Ricky, and Ann truly made our stay memorable. They not only greeted us by name but also remembered our usual preferences, making each visit to the lounge feel special and welcoming. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality stood out every single day.
We also want to highlight the efficiency of the room service reception and room service team, who were consistently swift and responsive in attending to our requests. Whether it was a simple need or a last-minute call, the service was prompt and courteous every time.
A big thank you as well to the concierge team for handling our transport needs so smoothly. Special thanks to Evan, who went above and beyond to help us secure entrance tickets to the Panda Research Base when we had trouble booking it ourselves.
There were many other team members who contributed to making our stay comfortable—even though we didn’t manage to get everyone’s names, we sincerely appreciate their dedication.
Thank you to the entire team at The Ritz-Carlton Chengdu for making our visit so enjoyable and seamless. We truly look forward to returning again in the future.

I travelled here with my kids and parents so having the suite was a great choice. It was well equipped and the support from the hotel staff was great (the Jasmine tea was delicious, and they replenished our water regularly..)
Location wise it was part of a mall and easy access to coffee joints, restaurants etc (their Cantonese restaurant at Yanlord was very good and we went back twice) and if you wanted to go to main tourist areas like Chunxi/Tianfu it was all very walkable.
There were laundry/dryer options which was great too
The kids enjoyed the kids club.
Cons
Toilet had no bidet
Would prefer having a sort of suction vent in the toilets
The remote for the curtains weren't always 💯

Our stay was good, but it was the exceptional service from one staff member that truly made our visit outstanding.
We encountered a significant problem with a pre-booked DiDi driver to the airport. Despite having confirmed the trip, the driver demanded an extra 40¥ in cash for our luggage at the last minute. Being without that much cash and with no ATM nearby, we were in a very stressful situation.
This is where a young man from the hotel's guest services team stepped in. He not only helped us cancel the problematic DiDi booking but also immediately secured a reliable taxi for us, ensuring we wouldn't miss our flight. He handled the entire stressful situation with remarkable professionalism, kindness, and efficiency. His English was excellent, which was a huge help, and his friendly demeanor completely put us at ease.
Our stay at Yushe Yunshan Designer Hot Spring Hotel, nestled near the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area Visitor Centre, was nothing short of exceptional. It earned a well-deserved 5-star rating!
From the moment we arrived for our one-night stay, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience. The hotel’s design is stunning, blending modern elegance with local charm to create a cosy yet luxurious atmosphere. Our room was impeccably clean, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed, offering a perfect retreat after a day exploring Jiuzhaigou.
The hot spring facilities were a highlight, providing a relaxing and rejuvenating experience that made our stay truly special. What stood out most was the outstanding customer service, particularly from 小刘同学. Their attentiveness, genuine kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond made us feel so welcomed and cared for. They ensured every detail of our stay was perfect, from check-in to addressing our questions with a smile.
To top it all off, the hotel generously provided a complimentary breakfast, which was a delightful surprise. The spread was diverse, fresh, and delicious, catering to a variety of tastes and setting us up perfectly for the day ahead.
Yushe Yunshan Designer Hot Spring Hotel exceeded all expectations, and we can’t wait to return. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Jiuzhaigou! Thank you, 小刘同学, and the entire team for an unforgettable stay!

This was an interesting hotel. It is in the ChongPing gorge so a little bit complicated to get to. Luckily the hotel has a shuttle service to pick you up from the outside of ChongPing. Reception staff are very attentive and welcoming. The room was nice as and well furnished. They are doing construction so the building being constructed takes away from the view, but the mountain is still visible from the rooms and the roof, and a couple of minute walk gets you a clean view.

Seriously, Shiye's butler service is just phenomenal! Located in Baiyang Tower, the secure access system provides such a sense of safety. Tianfu Square is right downstairs, the subway entrance is just a few steps away, and Chunxi Road is within easy walking distance.
The butler sent directions in advance, helped carry our luggage upon arrival, and even spotted a wet patch on the floor when we entered the room, politely warning us to 'watch your step' – that's real attention to detail! They also thoroughly walked us through how to use the projector and the audio system.
The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a truly stunning panoramic view of the square. It's mesmerizing to watch the city's pulse, from the daytime traffic to the glittering lights at night. Imagine relaxing in the tub while listening to music through the BOSE sound system! Plus, 24/7 on-demand food delivery is available.
After just one stay, I'm completely hooked! This will absolutely be my top choice for any future visits to Chengdu!

LLanIt's an excellent hotel, particularly for its price. The services were very good, the room was very clean. The most enjoyable was its foods. The breakfasts were mostly freshly made traditional SIchuan foods with a lot of varieties; the afternoon Sichuan snacks were very good and helpful after coming back from day tours.
GGuest UserThe room was clean and had everything we need. It was pretty modern and one small complaint was the tint over the window is pretty dark so it always felt very dark in the room even when we opened the blinds.
The front desk was helpful when we needed to send a package and also answered our questions related to getting around.
The location can't be beat, there are lots of breakfast places a few steps away and it's just across the street from Kuanzhai alley. It was about a 8min walk to the closest metro station at People's Park.

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located, and it is very convenient to take a taxi or the subway. The service provided by the lady was enthusiastic the day before yesterday. Although the room is a bit old, it is clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and I slept well at night. It is a hotel with good value for money. The only suggestion is that the auntie can clean the room not so early in the morning, and it is a bit noisy when she talks in the corridor.

AAnonymous UserThe room was very spacious, and I loved the decor. It's also pet-friendly. Compared to other hotels in the same price range, their pet cleaning fee is quite reasonable. Perhaps it's because Chengdu is so accommodating to pets; while the pet-owning environment is generally good, many people don't leash their dogs, letting them run wild, and unfortunately, a lot of owners don't pick up after them. The room has carpet, and I noticed a faint odor, likely from a previous canine guest. It looked like it had been cleaned, but the smell persisted. I re-cleaned the area with my own deodorizer. Personally, I think it wouldn't be a big deal to remove the carpets from pet-friendly rooms. Overall, the place is well-maintained. I'd also like to use this opportunity to urge all pet owners to help maintain a good pet-owning environment.
AAnonymous UserWhat truly stands out about this hotel is its absolutely impeccable service. When my packages and food deliveries arrived, the young lady at the front desk went above and beyond, tirelessly running up and down to assist me without a single complaint. Her warm, beaming smile upon entering the lobby instantly put me at ease. As a first-time hotel guest and traveler, I had a genuinely wonderful and comfortable stay.
The Sichuan restaurant downstairs was also good, though my phone died before I could snap any photos. The rooms themselves are quite stylish and thoughtfully designed; you can see the designer's meticulous effort from the moment you step into the lobby.
However, I did notice it's an older establishment, and some of the facilities and equipment are definitely due for maintenance or an update.
Overall, my experience was fantastic and truly exceeded all my expectations. A huge shout-out to the front desk staff – their service was absolutely spot-on, and they could resolve any issue I had. This truly left a lasting impression!
I'll definitely be staying here again when I return to Chengdu for winter break. It's also super convenient for late-night drinks, allowing you to head straight back to the hotel to sleep afterward. Plus, being very close to the popular Lan Kwai Fong, it's a fantastic spot for taking pictures.

AAnonymous UserThe green tiles and red walls reflect the sunshine, the hotel is more elegant than a fairy door, the green trees shade the hot summer, and the clear springs gurgle around the green hills. The lobby is spacious and bright, and the guests are like clouds and flying with laughter. The window is cold and the distant mountains are green, and the door welcomes the nearby water. The guest room is quiet and people sleep well, the bed is soft and the dream is beautiful, the night is dim and the lights are bright, the hotel is like a poem and the scenery is intoxicating. This is really a quiet paradise, and I am very satisfied with all aspects. The hotel is in a hidden location and has good privacy. I will come here often in the future. This time, I am very grateful to Xiaoqin for upgrading my room. The room is in a good location and the scenery outside the window is pleasant. It was a very satisfying trip.
