Cleanliness: 9/10 The room was clean, nice, and tidy. The pillows, bedsheets, and blankets smelled freshly laundered, and the floor and furniture were spotless. Cleanliness is highly maintained not just inside the room, but also in the hallways and other public areas. They do housekeeping every day, change the towels regularly, and always make sure your hygiene kit is fully stocked. The only issue I had was on my first day—the room wasn’t prepared according to my request, possibly due to an oversight. I had to be transferred to another room, and while it didn’t smell very pleasant at first, it was still clean overall. Location: 10/10 If you're looking for a peaceful place with a great view but still not too far from the city center, this is perfect! It’s not far from the airport and is surrounded by restaurants, drugstores are near, small stores for cheap things to buy, nearby malls, and groceries—but then the area isn’t crowded. It strikes a great balance between convenience and tranquility. Btw, if you are just travelling for leisure (DIY),renting a motor to go around is much cheaper than getting a tricycle Service: 10/10 I stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days, traveling alone. The staff made me feel really comfortable and were always ready to help with anything I needed—from check-in to check-out. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Filipino hospitality was truly evident here (Im a Filipino). Special shoutout to the restaurant staff who served breakfast and other meals—they were always smiling, friendly, and attentive. Amenities: 10/10 Everything was in excellent condition and worked perfectly. I especially appreciated the free airport shuttle—it was very helpful and convenient. Since I was also attending to some paperwork during my stay, I was happy to be able to relax and enjoy the amenities in between. Definitely worth the price. I’ll surely come back!

I would recommend The Funny Lion for anyone staying in Puerto Princesa. The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the facilities were excellent. Everything from the rooms to the amenities was well-maintained and comfortable. I had a great stay and would definitely come back again!

The hotel was accomodating when I requested to move from the 5th floor to the ground floor due to my senior mother find it difficult walking up and down the stairs as there is no lift to the floors. The food at the Hunt restaurant is delicious and the ambience is peaceful. Very friendly staff, they also made up our lunch to go on our 5-6 hour van ride to Puerto Princesa airport.

Highly recommend hotel, loved every moment of it. Every aspect of the hotel was truly league of its own, friendly staff, clean, and the location was just perfect.

Awesome hotel! It basically has its own private beach that when the tide is right has really good waves and it has a massive pool so everyone is happy. It is away from the chaos of El Ndo, but close enough to be convenient when you want to visit. It’s a short walk to Lio, which is a chill town with great restaurants - especially Punta Playa. The breakfast, facilities and staff are all great!

The hotel is located behind the Town Square and in front of the beach. You can walk to the Canopy Walk tourist spot to see the beautiful Island from the top hop on a tricycle or rent a motorbike outside the resort to explore the island. There was a good selection for breakfast and it was slightly different every day. We had a deluxe room with a terrace and pool access. ( see my photos below) The staff was welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place.

The best thing about this hotel is its beachfront location, offering spectacular views and a charming atmosphere. Although there are a few minor maintenance issues, the hotel is a gem—beautiful and cozy. The price is quite reasonable, and the staff's attention is excellent. I would definitely stay here again. The sunsets and the experience of watching the tide come in and out are unforgettable. I give it a 10 out of 10.

We stayed at this resort in February with our family, and we highly recommend it. The location is beautiful, with a stunning natural setting that remains quite wild, providing the perfect backdrop for a property that includes a hotel, villas, and glamping accommodations. We stayed in the hotel, but we also recommend the villas, which were occupied by our friends—they are nestled in lush greenery and are very well maintained. There is a small pool available for guests located in the glamping area. The resort also offers relaxing massages and the opportunity to book excursions. The restaurant offers a limited menu, but the dishes are well-prepared, and the pizza, in particular, meets high Italian standards. The only small suggestion we would make is to improve the breakfast selection slightly. The staff is incredibly kind, always helpful, and consistently welcoming with warm smiles. A special thanks to the General Manager, who was always present and attentive to guests’ needs.

everything is good in this place! the villa is cool, comfortable! the staff is incredibly friendly, thank you very much! but I will dwell on the location in more detail. firstly, it is located 30 minutes away from the El Nido pier itself (a strategic point, because we are all planning to travel around the national park by boat), and God bless it, but a kilometer before the hotel the road simply ends. secondly, the beach is beautiful and uncrowded (a bonus for the remoteness), but Nik-Nik (sand mite) lives there, fortunately we were warned about this right away at the hotel, in general, you can’t go anywhere without a repellent. I will especially note that sea turtle eggs are kept on the hotel grounds and, when the time comes, the turtles are released into the sea, but we were unlucky enough to witness this action (( then no little things would have prevented us from giving 6 stars!
